My dogs have been clients of Top Notch since it opened many years ago. They go above and beyond to…read moretreat each dog with care and kindness. The owner, Lisa, even picked up a prescription for my dog while he was boarding and I was out of the country. With my dog Riley, they take extra care with getting him settled in and adjusted because he developed a bit of separation anxiety after the pandemic. They always have him looking his best after his every six weeks grooming. To make it easier for me (not having to call for an appointment) they've been booking him out every six weeks for the entire year. It is so easy for me to remember, and they do such a great job with him. I cannot say enough how much trust I have in Lisa and her team at Top Notch. If he needs to be boarded, I know he is safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

Avoid boarding your dog at Top Notch Pet Resort!!!…read more Our experience was nothing short of traumatic. We dropped off our healthy 8mth old German Shepherd, expecting him to be cared for while we were away. Instead, we picked up a critically ill dog who had to be rushed directly from the facility to the emergency veterinary hospital. He was diagnosed with severe pneumonia and required oxygen therapy, IV antibiotics, IV fluids, and hospitalization. We were told his condition was life-threatening, and there were moments when we weren't sure he was going to survive. We have since confirmed that he contracted the infection while at the facility. What is even more upsetting is that no one informed us that he was becoming seriously ill while in their care. We were also told that he had been eating all of his food, yet he came home having lost a significant amount of weight. Had we been notified at the first signs that something was wrong, we could have sought veterinary care sooner. No family should have to endure the heartbreak of watching their beloved dog fight for his life after what was supposed to be a routine boarding stay. The emotional stress, sleepless nights, and thousands of dollars in emergency veterinary care could have been avoided. I am sharing our experience because I don't want another family to go through what we did. If you are considering boarding your pet here, I urge you to think carefully and ask hard questions about how they monitor dogs, recognize signs of illness, communicate with owners, and prevent the spread of infectious respiratory disease. We trusted Top Notch Pet Resort with our dog, and that trust was shattered. We will never board there again, and I sincerely hope this review helps someone else avoid the same devastating experience.
