I had out patient knee surgery a month ago. I think the staff was great. They even followed up with a phone call.

Very nice complex with plenty of parking. Social distancing was enforced with mandatory masks, and…read morehand sanitizer. Temperatures were taken upon entry to the building. There is a separate open section area for people to wait that are actually sick. You do have to walk past this open air area to get to the area where the exam rooms are. There is a pharmacy onsite if you need to get a prescription filled. Staff was pretty friendly, and helpful upon initial intake. The Dr however didn't have the best bedside manner, and was hard to understand. Communication for this Dr (through their website) was not very good. The Dr answered my questions with short answers, and left me asking more questions, which didn't get answered to my satisfaction. They told me to call to get my test results, and when I did, the person who finally answered the phone said they weren't authorized to give the results to me, and would have someone call me back. Which they NEVER did. Any communication after that was done through their portal, which is lacking in personal touch, and is hard to have a communication other than short emailed answers. However, maybe a different Dr would have a different communication style. I didn't particularly like having tests done, and then sending me one my way without a personal follow up besides reading the test results through their portal, which I have to say was Chinese to me, since I didn't go to school to figure out how to read medical terminology. I'm hoping I'm ok, and I didn't fall through the cracks. I'm hoping that nothing is life threatening since I didn't get any notification to make a follow up appt, or to have more tests done!

This hospital caused catastrophic, life-altering harm to my partner…read more I brought him to Lone Peak Emergency Room after a work-related injury that resulted in severe cervical spine trauma. Despite clear symptoms of neck injury, they refused to perform cervical imaging due to "range of motion limitations." Instead, they insisted on a CT scan to rule out a pulmonary embolism, an unrelated concern. During this scan, 80 mL of ISOVUE-370 contrast dye was extravasated into his left bicep, a high-volume injection of a known cytotoxic vesicant when introduced into soft tissue. The radiology tech documented the infiltration ("IV infiltration noted"), yet no protocol was followed, no aspiration, no elevation, no surgical consult, no imaging of the injury site, no follow-up. He was simply discharged less than two hours later. Within days, multiple abscesses developed in his scalene and longus colli muscles, leading to a cervical spinal epidural abscess, septic spread, and ultimately a complete spinal cord injury (tetraplegia). He is still hospitalized and now permanently disabled. ISOVUE-370 carries FDA warnings and manufacturer guidance requiring prompt intervention when extravasated. Lone Peak Hospital violated standard post-extravasation care protocols, failed to monitor the injury site, and provided no documentation or guidance upon discharge. I have reported the radiologist and the facility to the Utah Department of Professional Licensing and the Utah Department of Health. This level of negligence is indefensible. No patient, regardless of past medical history, should be dismissed or harmed like this. If you or your loved one are injured, I urge you: do not go to Lone Peak Hospital.

They gathered all the info quickly and almost before we could sit down, we were called back to an office. The dr we saw was very helpful and he didn't seem rushed at all. The only reason I even bothered going in is because no clinics in my area are accepting new patients but one, and that one didn't have appointments open until March, but I have had a cold in the middle of influenza outbreak and have had it for a MONTH and I walk out of the clinic with absolutely no prescription and advice to take ibuprofen and use heating pad for the dislocated disc in my back that I have from coughing. This review only has the stars for the fact that most of the staff is incredibly friendly(particularly the nurses), and lines move quickly and reception is helpful and efficient, but the treatment at this facility is unreasonable. I don't care if if it "could just be a virus" if a patient comes in saying they've been sick for a month you send them out with some antibiotics. It is like pulling teeth to get antibiotics from this place, they don't prescribe narcotics at this place but something tells me if they did it would be easier to get them than antibiotics; which is just wrong.
