It's heart-wrenching, reflecting on this dream-turned-nightmare. It ended with gaslighting by the manager, Aaron, during the last few months, his undermining verbal agreements/information provided by staff, and excessive overcharges after move-out (SEE PART 2). This resulted in unnecessary distress and trauma that prevents me from ever returning to Altamont. I am posting this review months later as I feared further retaliation. Part 1: I moved in December 2022 to a spacious 1 bedroom for $1425/month, wonderful amenities (jacuzzi, pool, club lounge with coffee and tea, basketball court, walking trail) and supportive staff that felt like family (Hunter, Abbie, Kelsey, maintenance staff). It was amazing, except my car was towed without my knowledge as working from home (accidentally parked in a handicap spot on a rainy night next to my poorly marked spot). A few days later, it cost $700 cash to reclaim my car from River City Towing; Kelsey assisted with a $100 discount, a $50 gift card, and improved procedures notifying residents to move their vehicle before it is towed. Part 2: Around April 2023, I upgraded to a beautiful 2 bedroom with my boyfriend and his kids. Altamont was the best place I'd ever lived, until the gaslighting by Aaron before move-out. 1. "Invalid" notice to vacate: March 14, I emailed Altamont my notice to move out by the lease expiration on May 9 (more than 30 days before the end of the lease) and informed them my roommate already moved out and gave me the keys to return. Aaron later deemed my notice "invalid" since my roommate was "not copied on the email, " and he threatened to charge for breaking the lease early. When my ex-roommate emailed Aaron, verifying my previously emailed notice to vacate. Aaron responded "you did not let us know that you had moved in writing so we would have no way of knowing if what Kristen said was valid." More gaslighting. After many emails requesting that Aaron honor my initial notice to move out in good faith, he reluctantly agreed to "put the move-out date as a courtesy on May 9th." 2. Prorated rent refund: May 7, Abbie confirmed I could get a prorated rent refund if I turn in the keys early before May 9 so I rushed to clean and vacate the apartment that same day. If not, I could have taken my time and washed my clothes. However, when I inquired when the prorated refund would be issued, Aaron emailed "Dropping off keys early does not relinquish rent responsibility. We apologize if you were under the impression of something different yesterday. We have made no assurances in writing that we would stop rent earlier than May 9th and at no time until late April were we fully aware of the intentions of ALL parties regarding this home. Further, our decision to forego the full 30-day notice requirement was done as a courtesy and we opted to only charge you through the lease end date." Again, gaslighting. Abbie apologized for the hassle, any miscommunication as agreements should be made by the manager, and she assured that she would ask about the refund again or at least some credit to make it right. The prorated refund was issued on my move out statement thanks to Abbie. 3. Excessive move-out charges: After factoring in my deposit ($500.00), I was additionally charged $1,080.79 for damages/repairs in a retaliatory manner. E.g., I found mold in the bedrooms wall corners after moving the beds and submitted a work order before moving out, but Altamont charged it as "pet spray" requiring carpet and baseboard replacements; although I have 2 female cats, it did not smell like urine, and maintenance staff confirmed they've seen mold behind beds without adequate ventilation. I've never been charged upon move-out before. I only expected to be charged for the carpet scratched by my cat when she accidentally locked herself in the bedroom, but was shocked by the extra expenses! **After extensive hassles with Aaron plus the stress of moving and many life transitions, I was too exhausted to further advocate for myself. I paid the excessive charges to be rid of this burden and never look back-- except to warn you of this experience that no tenant should endure.** Part 3: Other concerns: January 2024, my bike and another bike tire was stolen from the rack between buildings. I was a tenant at another Sequoia apartment building and was in the process of touring and applying to transfer to Altamont summit. The person I toured with sent a quote without me asking that had a 48hr time limit on it that was not communicated whatsoever. The quote was also sent on a holiday. Once I was finally able to apply 3 days later, the price had gone up. Despite the fact that they texted me saying the price was good until 6 days later. Furthermore their online price calendar was set to increase in price 6 days later. This place 100% takes advantage of a stressful time in people's lives when they are trying to move and threatens them with price increases if they don't commit immediately. Do not believe the price calendar, they will try a bait-n-switch to get you to pay more on your rent then what they quote you for. When I spoke with someone from the office about my experience they told me I needed to be treated like everybody else and that it was my fault for not knowing about the 48hr timeline to apply. Then they said to go ahead and apply to the higher price and that they would speak with the supervisor to get the price changed back to my quote. They decided to steal my $35 payment and reject my original quote. Lastly, they began to ignore my calls and the community manager never returned any of my voicemails. Don't do it! The parking here is TERRIBLE! It's gotten so bad to the point where people have to park all the way in the front after hours and walk to their apartments. So it looks like a junkyard here at night because of all the cars. They suckkkkk! And they are so quick to tow your car it will make your head spin. They say they email you before towing but that is not true, last night my partner accidentally parked in the resident next to us spot and instead of simply calling us as it was a simple mistake, they towed his car. It will be $300 to get it back. They really suck and we are here for another 10 months. Don't live here, and the walls are thin and they don't care about you. I know it's tempting to live here because of the price but you'll be paying way more because of towing fees and other ridiculous measures. read more

I have lived at this complex for two years now and have always felt well taken care of by the staff, but today I wanted to give an extra shout out to the maintenance team who have gone above and beyond since the ice storm wreaked so much havoc on our homes a few weeks ago. Management has been great with addressing our concerns. While parking is still difficult, they worked with us to get an additional paid parking spot. The big problem is people that have several cars, some that have at least 5 cars. Other than the parking, living here has been nice. Parking: goodluck finding parking, half the time there are residents who park in your designated spot and the other half is no parking or the leasing office is threatening to have you towed. (MULTIPLE MICE) - Outrageous Move Out Statement. - Maintenance UNLOCKED and OPENED our door without our permission. - Wasn't Cleaned or Maintained Prior to Moving In. - Poor Communication From Landlord. - It's SO Far From Everything, Hassle To Leave and Enter. - STAIRS (Top Floor) - Subpar Build Quality. Less than a week after moving in, we noticed mice droppings and urine residue. Being disgusted I immediately called the office to notify them and see what solution they would offer. The told me that they would have Orkin stop by and check the apartment to see whether there was any mice or not. They have Orkin do "Preventative Maintenance" every Tuesday on property. Unfortunately Tuesday had just passed so we had to wait a few days for them to come by off schedule. They put traps down and we waited. We took a closer look at the apartment and found a few things that needed to be fixed. Thankfully maintenance is responsive and was able to take care of everything swiftly. Prior to us moving in, we weren't able to view the unit. We were told it wasn't ready because of maintenance / cleaning that needed to be done. If we would have seen the unit prior, we would have been able to see that the mice had already been in that unit. It's apparent to me that neither maintenance or cleaning was taken care of prior to us being handed the keys. The following Tuesday the Orkin Rep. came back to check the traps. Unfortunately there was a mouse found on one of the traps. He thought it maybe just one that some how made it's way in. We where uneasy but thankful that it had been caught. He laid more traps down and left. A couple weeks later I found a dead mouse in our spare bedroom, presumably killed by our cat. Orkin came back and more traps where put down. Everything was normal for a few months until one night our cat caught a mouse, with it still alive in his mouth he brought it into our bedroom. He dropped it and it ran all around our bedroom. Eventually we chased it out and it went underneath our cabinets. I proceeded to check the traps and found a separate dead mouse on the trap. I was furious. I sent an email to Altamont, asking for a more permanent solution. The traps obviously weren't enough. I then sent an additional email with pictures of what just happened. I never received a response to either email. A few more weeks passed and my partner finds partial remains of a mouse again in the spare bedroom. This time we didn't bother notifying Altamont because there was no communication about this ongoing issue from them, they failed to ever reply. About 3 months later, still with no response to my original emails, we decided we wanted to break our lease. We were fed up with the infestation. We sent an email notifying Altamont. It was only then that they decided to respond and take action. They sent out Orkin once again, and the Rep. told us that he had possibly found the spot where the mice had been coming in. More traps where put down and he notified the office of his findings. Without our permission or knowledge, maintenance bangs on our front door, yells "Maintenance" and then proceeded to unlock and open the front door. We weren't even given time to leave our bedroom. The maintenance worker was seconds away from stepping in but was only stopped when I met him at the door. We had never given permission to enter our home, in fact we weren't even notified that maintenance was even coming to our apartment. That was the last straw. After that we broke the lease, and left. We were then charged over $1000 for the final move out fees and that's after the $900 deposit we had originally put down, (we had only lived there 8 Months). They then listed our unit for about $2,500 per month ($600 over what we were paying!) Save your time and money and stay far away from this place. This is NOT the place to rent from. read more

I've lived here for YEARS and the management gets worse every change. They refuse to hold packages and find a COVID safe way to get them to residents because the lockers they have are just not enough. I cannot tell you how many residents are missing packages and management just doesn't care. Parking is wretched, they got rid of their amazing maintenance staff and now if something doesn't work their maintenance staff doesn't finish the job or has to come back multiple times. They are making us pay the same rent even though we can't use the gym after their office hours. They refuse to even discuss solutions that are WITHIN guidelines for COVID. They kept creating rules that are not stated in our lease agreements yet don't hold people accountable to not smoking in their units or 20ft from buildings which is in the agreement. They also increased rent DURING Covid if you had to sign a new lease. They claim Luxury apartments but it's not don't bother moving here the management doesn't care. They don't actually find solutions for anything. The current manager is completely cold and unapproachable. Their are break ins in cars all the time, even though it's a gated complex. They don't turn the evening lights on till it's already too dark to see. The staff used to care. They spent all last year working on trying to get hood Yelp reviews by incentivizing with a gift card. I lived here for 2 years and I had a wonderful experience in this apartment complex. Everyone who works in the office treated me with immense kindness and understanding whenever a need arose. I'd pop in for a coffee or while walking with my cat too, and it was always fun to visit them! Additionally, maintenance was very quick and efficient with any requests I submitted and the complex was always kept clean and tidy! I was thankful that maintenance was careful whenever opening my door to complete a request too, ensuring that my cats stayed inside. (Thank you Brent!) Finally, the location of this complex is hard to beat! It's right off the highway, which is very convenient, and up a large hill so I always felt safe. There's also a walking trail that goes around the community and plenty of wonderful amenities. Living conditions: overall I would say it's a safe environment, we have 3 kids and it is safe for them. the gated community helps, it's also nice living on a steep hill to keep strange folks out. trash valet service is a good added convenience, there is a small park on the property as well as easy access to altamont park. The staff are mostly friendly and willing to help, the maintenance team does a great job fixing all issues in a timely manner. Their are multiple communications methods mainly a portal for residence, and it seems to be used regularly by staff and residents. company: overall I would say the corporate feel can sometimes take away from the property and residents. The company makes efforts to give atonomy to the staff, but sometimes the answers are generic and corporate. always professional and you get really good perks, events a few times a year, valet trash, upkeep and maintenance services are above par. You also pay for what you get, so you will pay a premium to live here. cost: i would argue this is a premium property so you will Pay more then most properties comparable in this area. overall I think the staff are great, friendly, work hard to get to know residents, and are timely. read more

I think it should be brought to everyone's attention that after running these reviews through a service called Fakespot, it was determined that several reviews are fake or altered. I will share as picture. Only about 70% of the reviews are real (guess which ones) and that deception of this kind should be brought to potential renter's attention. Great place if you own a car. Located at the top of a steeeeeeeeep hill with no bus/shuttle service. Biggest gripe is they WILL-- repeat WILL CHARGE YOU for any possible reason. Keep multiple photos of all surfaces or appliances on you to dispute these potentially spurious charges. They WILL charge you for cleaning the carpet regardless of the state of said carpeting after you move out. Same thing goes for wall repainting and the post-tenant cleanup even after you clean and disinfect the place. They will also bill you for utilities months after you have left because they charge you on a timeline that's a month or so behind (i.e. charge you for October's water/trash bill in December). Beware! Avoid if possible! read more

FYI, the manager kept $130 of our deposit because dust collected on the blinds in 3 years of residency. I'm not even kidding. $130 cleaning fee for dusting some blinds among other benign, normal wear and tear items like dust on light switches and, god forbid, dust specks in the corners of cabinet.. additionally, management fabricated pictures of our unit in an attempt to recoup as much of our deposit as possible. I know it sounds crazy and I was just as shocked that they'd be so brazen, but it did happen. We even signed up for a pre-move-out walk through to get feedback so we could be positive we would get deposit back. The guy they sent was 100% useless, stood there and told us to our faces that "wear and tear" would not be charged for, and that he did not see anything concerning. He barely even looked at anything. His nonchalant attitude gave us the impression they were lenient and decent people when it comes to returning residents' hard earned money. Boy were we wrong. We have our own pictures which directly contradict their fake ones. It's so unbelievable to me that they pulled this. We are attempting a small claims court case at this time. Be very clear when you move in on what exactly "wear and tear" means as the management has a very skewed and impractical and unreasonable idea of this. Basically you cannot assume this management has your interest in mind, so get it in writing before you move in on exactly what wear and tear means. In their mind, nothing counts as wear and tear and it is all chargeable. We were very civil in trying to reason with them but they refused to listen. You're dealing with a very large, greedy management company that has little concern for it's residents beyond wringing them dry for every dollar they can. And the parking situation is horrible. There is no where else to park as you risk a tow parking in the neighborhood across the street. The only other option is walking nearly a mile from the bottom of the hill. Very poorly planned, very incompetent management with little regard for providing customer service. Prior manager Kristen Gannon attempted to make us ineligible for a lease renewal due to a yelp review I left. It was completely retaliatory. You can bet that people aren't leaving reviews out of fear. I told several of my neighbors about what happened to me and all of them would be leaving 1 star reviews if they weren't scared of retaliation. Since this complex is in clackamas county, you won't have resources to help you in the even management is abusive like you would in multnomah or washington counties, and the management knows that. Updated July 2020: I recently moved out of this property in order to relocate to the Midwest. Move in was late 2016. During my residency at Altamont Summit, the staff was always first rate. For example, Jessica helped me with the initial lease and move in procedures. All these years later, she is still working there and as kind and helpful as ever. Recently appointed manager, Aaron is a hard worker and approaches every situation looking for an equitable and amicable solution. As a "PITA" resident, they always too great care of any concerns I had. Because the property is kept in great shape, there so few maintenance issues, I don't have much to say. I do recall that an initial problem at move in was quickly resolved. Move out was handled in the most courteous manner possible. They explained possible costs and didn't try to gouge me with unreasonable fees. I've lived elsewhere where move out fees seemed to be a major revenue stream. Not here. I had absolute trust that any fee assessed was deserved. That was true. I'd recommend getting a garage like I did. Parking is tough as many reviewers mention. Frankly, I don't know how to reduce frustration and add additional spaces in a land locked property. There is no easy or quick solution. Thus, a garage helps keep others for "using your space just for a minute." Given all the positive things about the staff and property, parking isn't the end of the world. If the place was run down or the staff a bunch of jerks, tight parking would and should be the last straw. It's not and they are not, so put parking complaints into prospective! We are still newbies to the community (just about a month), but so far we have no complaints. The leasing representative we worked with was very knowledgeable and friendly, and the application and lease signing process went smoothly. I mean, we viewed an apartment, submitted applications, signed a lease, and moved in later that night, so it couldn't have been much easier. The location is ideal for us, with easy access to 205, and a Fred Meyer, Trader Joes, PetSmart, and numerous other businesses and restaurants all within a walkable or bikeable distance. Our unit had nothing more than normal wear and tear, and our first maintenance call was taken care of the following day. We initially thought we wouldn't like having a 'sub level' style unit, but we actually love the way that it's set up. It's part of why we ultimately decided to pick this community. We love that we have a private patio and grassy area, and we have a pretty great view of Portland, especially of the city lights at night. The floors are a bit thin, but we previously lived on a top floor, so we're just not used to being the ones below someone. We've yet to take advantage of the spa and fitness center, but our pups love the dog park. I also love the community's array of programs, like the valet waste program that picks up our trash and recycling at our door, the option to have an accent wall painted, complimentary morning coffee at the front office, and the incentive to adopt and save a life by reimbursing up to $250 when a resident adopts a cat or dog from the local humane society. They also offer a discount for teachers, firefighters, police officers, and military, and this provided some much welcomed financial relief given all of the added expenses associated with moving into a new apartment. So far this community has been a great place to live -- Hopefully it continues to remain that way for the duration of our lease. read more

Pros: clean, quiet place, low crime, close to the park. Cons: not enough parking, office slow to respond to repairs needed. We had a garbage disposal break down and it took them 3 months to send someone to fix it. After he fixed it, the dishwasher flooded and spilled into the kitchen. We fixed that on our own, but obviously are upset we aren't getting the service we paid for. I've lived in apartments that cost a fraction of this price with better repair services. read more

We had a fine experience living here while we did. It was kind of lame that we had to continue paying for amenities that we couldn't use because of COVID, I get this pandemic is a wild situation but the least they could have done was had a reduced rate because we couldn't use anything we were paying for. Packages got stolen on a regular basis and there is a chronic issue of Amazon/ups leaving packages outside of the office just asking people to walk up and take them. The gate hardly ever works so, your packages will get stolen. Where I get really mad was the move out process. We cleaned our apartment top to bottom, the only thing we really missed was the oven. They took my $800 deposit and wanted MORE because they said "the carpet had extensive pet urine damage" which I know for a FACT didn't come from our dogs, they're 5 and 9 and didn't have any issues in the unit. When we brought that up to them, they said the carpet was at the end of its 5 year lifespan and needed to be replaced anyway. ???? Then why are we paying for you to replace the carpet when you were going to replace it regardless? That's not what our security deposit is for and we shouldn't be responsible for damages that were not made by us. We got charged an extra 50 bucks because they had to clean the bathroom twice, even though in the report they said they were required to clean it twice. So...not sure why we paid for that either. They'll rob you when you leave and it made the entire experience really sour. It's pretty on the outside but I'd look elsewhere. We've already told several of our friends who were interested in this complex to go somewhere else. read more

I moved in two days ago and I was very impressed with the condition of my apartment. Not a single blemish on the walls, very clean, great paint job with the accent walls. I had a few very minor issues that maintenance quickly repaired the next day after I reported it. The property seems to be well-kept and well managed. Nothing is ever quite perfect, and that goes for apartments twice as much, since where you live is far more important than where you buy your coffee (unless you're a true addict). This place is pretty! The views of the city are awesome, and sometimes you can see the rain falling downtown while the sun shines on Altamont, and the grounds are very well cared for, as are the buildings. Grounds are well maintained, the staff here is incredible and thoughtful. They throw events periodically for all the tenants to mingle. Last week my dog got out and ran off and almost ALL of our neighbors were out for 2+ hours in the soaking rain at NIGHT to help look for him. It's a super safe neighborhood, parking isn't always the best BUT it's because we do have 3 people in our household with 3 car an only 2 cars are allowed to park on the property at a time, so if you have a 2 car household then you should have nothing to worry about. UPDATE: A little sad to say I prob won't be renewing my lease at this place. Since my last review it's been a total nightmare to park, probably bc there are a lot of more people moving in. Like I mentioned above we have 3 people in our household, which before we signed the lease for some reason parking was not mentioned to us even tho we did tell them that we had 3 cars. Then after we signed the lease it was brought up that only 2 vehicles was allowed on premise with one assigned spot and a "guest" pass( which is first come first serve), so one of us always has to park outside the gate across the neighborhood street. Very limited guest spots, If you have a job that you get off after 4 you can forget about parking in any guests spots . We've tried inquiring about paying for an additional spot but was told there is a long wait list. People tend to just park randomly by curbs and in the front office or really anywhere they can find, and sometimes you'll be fine but sometimes you'll get towed so just a hit or miss. I came home super late one night and parked my car really fast in a handicapped to drop off some things and went upstairs to re park and my vehicle was gone. But like I said, park at your own risk so I'm not blaming the apartment. But for me I don't think spending almost $1700 on an apartment just to end up getting your vehicle towed is worth it. Like your car is safer parked across the street than inside the gate lol. But other than that, the actually people living in these complex are super nice, keep to themselves and the grounds are clean, the staff here is pretty nice, the old manager christina was awesome I wish she was still here. It's not their fault that the parking here is worse than trying to find a parking spot at Costco during the holidays. read more

Most of the staff here is pretty great and they address things when you bring them a problem. Repairs in/around my unit were done the same day I reported them. There is a problem with bikes being stolen (Mine included) and some of the residents don't clean up after their dogs but I was told that's just how things are here. Overall I would probably recommend this place to my friends/family. read more

We've been living here for a couple months now and have nothing but good things to say about Altamont Summit. First of all, living here you really do feel like you're living on a summit because it's at the top of a hill. It feels very secluded but still just right up the hill from all the convenient shopping places like Fred Meyer, Trader Joe's, Walmart, etc...Essentially it's like you get the Happy Valley secluded feel but are still close to everything. It also feels very safe. The staff is amazing! They love their pets here as my pup has already been acquainted with most of the leasing office staff. In fact each time I take my pup out for a walk, she gets excited when we pass the leasing office because she knows she'll get a treat from a friendly face. They really care about their pets here. The maintenance crew is also on point. I've thus far put in 2 work orders and they came either the same day or next day to fix the issue. Valet trash service is something that I was skeptical about upon moving in...but now I am a huge believer. Glad they have this option here as its very convenient during the cold rainy months. I am a previous tenant and if I could I've 0 stars I would. When I first applied to the apartments it was because it was a gated community, with a nice pool area, close to work, nice appliances and amenities. This is all very misleading as the security patrol seems nowhere to be found or takes forever to call you back or show up. Our unit was broken into (one of the reasons we moved out) and the complex manager did not seem to act on this quickly as I had to speak with a leasing agent. The officer assigned to our case has mentioned the lack of safety and security to the management and they haven't done anything about it. As for the building it is poorly built and you can hear every step, cry, scream and the noise complaints/complaints in general are not taken seriously. We had a tenant approach us aggressively at our door and nothing was done even though there is a "no contact with other tenants" rule in the lease. Parking is a nightmare and they don't really pay attention as to how long a car has been parked somewhere so guest spots are hard to come by. With covid, some amenities were taken away or time slots were limited and instead of taking it out of the rent they replaced it with monthly food carts, nice thought but with the almost $2000 rent it would've been nice to have a little taken off. My packages have gotten stolen off our front step and since we cannot have ring cameras on our doors I had to have some packages sent to my parents house. The move out fees are another story and very outrageous. Be prepared to be charged $100+ for dust on the blinds or usual wear and tear. If you want to feel safe and appreciated as a tenant, look elsewhere. read more

Great place to live. Close to great shopping and restaurants. Easy on and off access to I-205. Just 15 minutes to downtown, and 8 minutes to PDX. The management team and maintenance team are very friendly, and they are constantly keeping a high level of maintenance to the overall property. Many apartments have stunning views of the Willamette Valley and downtown PDX. read more

We were here exactly one year, and it was a great experience. You couldn't ask for better management. They go above and beyond to make sure that you are happy and you are well taken care of. Anytime we had a maintenance issue, they had it fixed very quickly same day, usually within a couple of hours at most. We also were thrilled with having central air conditioning, which is a rarity in Oregon. We also had forced air gas heat which is very economical. The only reason that we are leaving alltamont Summit is because friends offered us a basement apartment that is saving us quite a bit of money and we are there to help them, otherwise we would be staying long term. Close to I205, close to shopping, and 20 minutes from downtown. read more

After some unforeseeable events on move in day, Lena, one of the leasing consultants really went out of her way and dealt with our frustrations like a true professional and accommodated our needs bringing what could've been a bad situation to a wonderful close. Definitely ask for her when you call them for an apartment. Beautiful units too!!! Thanks Lena! -turns out I'm an idiot and should've listened to all of the reviews that all the yelpers had previously left but I thought MAYBE they just had bad experiences based on sheer numbers. It's a big place and you can't please everyone... WRONG! They all suck and don't give two shits about anyone who lives on the property, they lied about what I would get when I moved in, didn't walk around prior to switching me to a more expensive unit, suck at customer service, did I mention lie? I really hope I can help prevent anyone else from ever coming here again. It's not the place, the property is beautiful and the views are amazing. The people just really suck at their jobs. My husband and I have only lived here for about two weeks, so it's too early for an extensive review, but I must say that we are very pleased with our decision to rent at Altamont Summit. The grounds are well-kept, the staff and maintenance are responsive and provide good service, the amenties are GREAT (pool, fitness center, dog park) and the location can't be beat. We love walking up to the park at the top of the hill, and we enjoy the beautiful views of Portland that surround the apartment complex. We are pleased with the fixtures and features of our apartment and enjoy the fact that it's a pet friendly community. We had a hard time finding a good apartment community that would allow our large dog, but they have no weight restrictions for pets. The parking seems pretty reasonable as well. We have one dedicated space for our apartment. The guest parking tends to get a lot more crowded on the weeknights around 6 and 7. I also really like the proximity to the MAX station. It's 1 mile away from the SE Fuller Road MAX station. I can walk there or take a quick drive down there to park and ride. Since I work downtown, it's very convenient for me to ride the Green Line into the city. The only downside is that we can sometimes hear our upstairs neighbor shuffling around and making some noise. It's nothing unreasonable, but I do believe the apartments could be better insulated for sound proofing. We have lived in apartments for 10 years so we are used to sometimes hearing your neighbors. If you rent here, I would recommend an apartment on the top floor to avoid having neighbors above you. Unfortunately there weren't any top floor units in our price range available when we moved in. But again, it's nothing unreasonable and everything is nice and quiet at night, which to me is what matters most. I can deal with a little shuffling noises during the daytime. The prices are great for the location and amenities. We looked at a lot of apartment complexes in our search and none came close to Altamont. I feel totally safe here and the property is very clean and well-kept. read more
