Worst customer service left my suit for alterations paid up front up on pickup the custom bag that my suit was in was not available the custom hangers that my suit was hanging on was also not available. Absolutely unacceptable experience -- I will never return, and I'll be sure to warn others. I went to Alterations 2 Suit U expecting basic professionalism and courtesy -- instead, I was met with blatant disrespect from both the owner and the secretary. From the beginning, the tone was dismissive and rude. What shocked me most was that they signed my name without my permission -- and then lied about it when confronted. That alone is unethical and potentially illegal. The secretary seemed visibly afraid of the owner, which is no excuse for mistreating a paying customer. I brought in a pair of pants for a possible alteration -- instead of even taking a closer look or showing any willingness to help, they glanced from across the room and flatly told me I'd have to "deal with it." There was zero effort to provide service, just derogatory behavior and attitude. Their unprofessionalism and dishonesty were beyond anything I've experienced in a business setting. Not only have they lost my business, but I'll be actively encouraging others to avoid this place. this woman completely ruined my daughter's wedding dress. she told us to come pick it up and it was literally in 4 pieces. shredded! we took it to another seamstress and they said it wasn't repairable. she cannot sew and refused to give our money back!! We had a very difficult time trying to find alterations for a velvet lined prom dress. Everyone had weird hours of operation or was too busy to help even though we were 3+ weeks out before the prom. We went here as a last resort and we were so pleasantly surprised! The price seemed a little high ($100) but found that was typical. Great work, great service and the owner was lovely. Plus, Yelena stayed open extended hours unlike most shops in the "over the mountain" area. We would definitely recommend and will continue to use in the future. read more

Owner went above and beyond to complete fast turn around on bridesmaid dress and did beautiful job with alterations.

I brought a scrub top here to be altered, I brought in another scrub top from the same brand of the size I wanted it to be for reference. She never mentioned that I had to try it on, just took the other scrub top and pinned it. I guess I should have suggested that I also try it on, but trusted her judgement (big mistake). I got the scrub top back and tried it on at home, the right sleeve is longer and tighter than the left arm. I took it back today to see if she could fix it. She said it was MY fault since I didn't try it on (again, she never mentioned trying it on or that it would be an issue if I didn't try it on) & I would have to pay again to get it fixed. She was very rude with me about it. I went to this place bc it was convenient and close to my work, but I will never be back and will not recommend this establishment to anyone. read more

The owner is so incredibly rude. I dropped off a dress to be altered a month ago and was told to pick it up today. I drove an hour with an infant in the car to pick it up only to find out it wasn't going to be ready until after 3pm today. FOUR hours from now. The woman has zero empathy and treated me with complete disdain. And goodness this place is overpriced for the alterations I needed. read more

Amazing. The night before Halloween I just received my costume in the mail and the dress was super small. Smaller than it should be. It doesn't stretch! I didn't know what to do. Most alterations close early and I didn't know how to make my dress zip up or even extend it. I looked up in google and found Alterations 2 Suit U and gave the place a call. The lady who helped was super helpful and willing to do whatever she can to fix it at a reasonable price I can afford to. I gave her the next morning to finish and goodness; I LOVE the new fix! Nightmare! Gave her shorts to lengthen by the length of one hem fold. She shortened them instead. She said she would redo. Picked them up and she lengthened the shorts back to the original length after cutting off the extra material. Can't lengthen them now, they're ruined! Complete incompetence!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I went here based on high recommendation from my neighbor. Alteration services only. I had several items ranging from jeans to silk dress. I am extremely satisfied with the work and continue to use this service. I also had pants for my son to be hemmed for coming weekend. Again, an excellent job. Not recommended! Very unprofessional and did not follow through with the design. Once I tried to reach a solution, the owner told me it was a crazy job and that it wasnt possible do my request AFTER taking my money and attempting to do it. Now I am left without a dress and I can't take it back to the store because she cut it and sewed over it read more

Just went here because they were recommended to me.... don't waste your time. I paid $250 to alter two different dresses (each a hem and then also something else on each). With the first dress I was trying to explain what I wanted and she just kept saying the same thing back to me but I think she understood what I wanted. The second dress I put on she kept trying to mark off the back/bottom of the dress and I kept telling her I only wanted length taken off the front. She argued with me and I said I understood what she was saying and I appreciated her recommendation but I didn't want the length taken off in the back. We went back and forth probably 4 or 5 times. I was so frustrated but I was on a time crunch so just decided to stick with her services. When I went to go pick up the dresses one of them I tried on was gaping in the front because of a change she made to the back. I showed her this and she said "well you needed to take it in on the top"... but it for me fine the last time I was in and I had the same bra on. She argued with me saying that I needed to take it in or a different bra but it just comes down to being her fault. Very frustrating experience. read more

This lady is very rude. I went to get my wedding dress taken in and shortened. She messed it up big time. The first time I went back, I could not zip the dress at all. It was way to tight. On one of the many times she was letting it back out (I had to go there 5 times), she let out the very top part before we could even see if it fit because we couldnt get it to zip all the way up. When we were able to zip it up, I told her I wanted the top taken in, she wanted to charge me, for her mistake because she made it too small! We would argue every time I went in there (we were yelling at each other at one point). If I said I did not like something, she would roll her eyes at me and disagree constantly. On my final fitting there (I decided to go somewhere else to fix it so I can enjoy my experience) she would not talk to me or help me in any way. Working with Lena was a true pleasure! My daughter redesigned my dress from over 30 years ago. She drew pictures and met with Lena on several occasions. It came out beautiful...just as she had hoped. Lena's talents are amazing...I believe there is nothing she can't do. Even after the wedding she was able to quickly repair the damage (from too much dancing, that is) so we could send it off and have it cleaned and preserved.
