It had been a long time since I bought a cocktail dress so I wasn't really sure what size I wore, but thought it would work. I was very disappointed when I tried it on because it was way too big and made me look like a dumpy old lady. I hoped I could get it altered, but the only dressmaker I knew was far too busy due to bridal season. Yelp to the rescue! I chose Mila based on her positive reviews and I'm so glad I did. I immediately felt comfortable with her and was confident she would be able to make the necessary adjustments, even though they were not exactly straightforward. The waist needed to be taken in and lifted, the tank style lace shoulder straps shortening, and I didn't want to lose the pockets, which made it more complicated. Mila said she could complete it in two weeks and the quote was very reasonable. When I returned to pick it up I put the dress on and I was completely blown away by what a great job she did! I loved the dress as it was now very flattering and accentuated my shape. I highly recommend Mila for her kindness, professionalism, and--most of all--expertise in her craft!

I…read moredropped off three pairs of pants for alterations on 12/16 and was required to pay in full upfront. I was explicitly told the alterations would be completed by 12/23 (receipt attached). When I went in on 12/24 to pick them up, I was shocked to learn they hadn't even been started--not delayed, not started at all. One of these pants was needed for a Christmas Eve party today, and because they failed to meet their own promised deadline, I now have nothing to wear. What made this even worse was that I was not the only customer affected. While I was there, at least four other people were also trying to pick up their items, and none of their alterations were completed either. This clearly shows a pattern of poor management and broken promises. It is completely unacceptable to take full payment, set clear expectations for pickup, and then fail to deliver without communication or accountability. This lack of professionalism is unacceptable. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere.
