My wedding dress is chiffon, and she created the most gorgeous custom bustle in the back that made it look beautifully layered and flowing. Beyond her extraordinary skill, she made me feel beautiful. That kind of thoughtfulness goes so far beyond what any seamstress is required to do. After I picked up my perfectly hemmed, bustled, and altered dress, I had a small panic moment (actually, a major panic moment) when I realized the style looked slightly different than I remembered from when I originally ordered it from Anthropologie. Apparently he is the new owner and bought this business about a year ago. He seemed quite grateful to me for being a new customer and trying out his service. I asked if he accepts coupons, and he opined that these were lean times due to the state of the economy and he cannot afford to offer these, but that sometimes he may offer a special. This is a local Normandy Park Cleaners that has managed to hang on as other cleaners in the area are forced to close their doors. Four Star is extremely convenient for me (I live only 1/4 mile away). So it is in my own self interest to see this business survive. And local businesses that survive help the community and help us all. The Cleaning is as good or better than any cleaners I've been too, The service is great, and for those reasons I am awarding five stars. The guy said the lady who hems chargers her price & he charges his. So when I went to pick up 3 hemmed pants, I noticed the total was $30. He then added "his price" totaling out to $51.15 & $2.05 fee for using debit . He was on the phone so I didn't even bother asking. I just took my stuff knowing I would never return again. Just shady if you ask me. So basically the lady charges her price of $10 per pant & the guy charges $7.05 per pant. Makes no sense to double charge (or that much at that)!" Find somewhere else and save your money.
