I routinely use tailors and after moving to Plant City, needed someone local. I searched around and Sew n' Go had good reviews. I dropped two pairs of jeans off on a Thursday morning. The friendly lady welcomed me and asked what length I would like them. I preferred to try them on to ensure an accurate measurement. She took the jeans and offered to have them back by the following Tuesday. 5 day turn-around including the weekend is pretty quick. I've left jeans some places and had to wait 3 weeks to get them back. The cost was also decent. $24 total for two hems. The lowest I've paid before was around $30 for two hems. No complaints there. The issue came when I got home and tried on the pants. My wife looked at them said they were noticeably hemmed. The stitching was uneven and the hem was unprofessionally done. In turn, the pants are uneven. One of my pairs has two different length legs and the inside lengths are shorter than the outside. Needless to say, I won't be back. The jeans are wearable and on a daily basis, no one will likely notice but I'd much rather pay $6 more and go somewhere else. At least I know the work will be done right the first time.

What really set them apart, though, was their kindness. I mentioned that my wife had been in an accident, and without hesitation, she came outside to check on my wife and make sure she was okay. That level of genuine compassion is something you rarely see anymore. In a world where it's hard to find people who truly care, Town Tailors is a special place. Drove about 20-25 minutes to this location for a simple hemming of three pairs of pants. When I asked about the timing, the owner showed me the amount of work currently in progress behind the counter, which appreared to be a relativily small volume (about the size of half a closet). Based on that, the extended turnaround time was surprising. I was offered a faster turnaround of one week, but with an additional $100 fee. That pricing felt excessive for straightforward hemming. The customer before me appeared to be receiving a quicker turnaround at a lower cost. The customer was receiving her item in five days for $50.00, which added to the confusion about consistency in pricing and timelines. I ended up leaving without service. I would recommend calling ahead to confirm turnaround time and pricing before making the trip.

She is very busy and her turn around time is usually 3 weeks. Her work is worth the wait. If you need a garment done properly, especially expensive items, she is the seamstress to go to. Just plan ahead. Her shop is in the back of the center. Can be hard to find at first.
