The clerk seemed a bit on the shy side, she did great us when we entered and asked if she could assist with anything, then remained silent until we approached the register to complete our purchase. But I'm a shopper that prefers this, I like to shop without pressure or someone hovering over my shoulder, so she gained a star from me! (I'm mainly also speaking to females here, but if you are a male with that fashion sense then I mean hey go for it haha) I really had no idea what I was walking into the first time I went to Versona. All I knew was that I was in desperate need of some cute dress pants and just a whole outfit for a presentation that was in a few days, so I needed to find something that day. I searched the handy old internet to find some stores nearby that might have what I was looking for at more reasonable prices, and that's when Versona crossed the radar. This is an awesome store! I am far from being a fashionista or really having any trustworthy sense of fashion, but this store has some CUTE items! From tanks to long sleeves to jackets to pants, they have a great selection of different types of clothes that can all be dressed up or are just the professional look you need (or I needed at least). Because, let's be honest- especially for women, previous decades of business appropriate clothes can be UGLY. Like, so awkward fitting, looking, and just really not making you feel confident or good about yourself in any way. But Versona has that touch of modern trends in their styles where you will like how the clothes fit and look. Trust me, it's a big deal! And the best part: the prices are so in reach! Broke college kid speaking here too (rip)- I didn't feel like I was giving away part of my soul just to have some more dress clothes. Most of their pants are around $30-40! Particularly for those of us savvy shoppers who will WAIT, if necessary, until a piece goes on sale - if it stays (slays) in stock. Also, if you have the pennies to spend, I can pretty much guarantee you will find a dress, blouse, accessory, what-have-you, that NO ONE ELSE is rocking (yet). I'm so glad the denizens of Yelp had already reviewed this particular locale, because I knew I was in for a treat. I only spent a few bucks but I walked out with a fun assortment of treasures! I got some vintage domino pieces I plan to turn into jewelry as well as some old toy pieces, etc. There is such a random assortment of odds and ends, from pure vintage items to glorified junk--you have to be willing to commit to the search, which is half the fun. From a distance the shelves look full, but up close there isn't much that stands out. Kind of a "Mona Lisa effect"--better from afar than up close. That said, the staff was friendly. One woman who worked there--short, wore glasses--was especially kind, though I didn't catch her name. The store is laid out nicely, and they had a lot of furniture available. If you're furniture shopping, this might actually be a good stop; the pieces looked decent and reasonably priced. They also appeared to use a color-tag discount system, though I'm not sure if it changes daily. About half the store was clothing, and the other half was bric-a-brac and furniture. I personally didn't find much this visit, but it could've just been an off day. I'd consider checking back in a couple of weeks to see if inventory changes. I did leave with one fun find: a vintage floating pool drink holder shaped like a rainbow, with space for ice and drinks--super cute and only $5. On the flip side, some prices felt off, like used wrapping paper priced at $3 when you can get a new roll at Dollar Tree for $1. Overall, it's worth checking out, especially for furniture, but don't go in expecting major thrifting treasures. Pretty cool that they are open on a Sunday, though. I will give them that. Of course, there are still things that are pricey, but with sales prices in play you can definitely get a better bargain or some of the items at more normal/ reasonable prices. They have a good variety of stuff here too- women's, men's & children's clothing. I'm excited to see the variety of options as the seasons go on- they had fun and colorful summer styles out, but then once the fall collection & winter clothes come around will be nice too. There are plenty of fitting rooms to try things on, but no restrooms. During our initial meeting, Desiree took all of my measurements as well as offered a few suggestions on switching up the style and the end result was drop dead perfect!
