I searched the internet for the best leather alteration businesses. I went to some to ask if they could do the job on this type of leather (roughout leather) and they gave me the "hmmm... yea I could do it" and charged a large number. One place even quoted me $135... San Diego Sewing Concepts was 4th on my list and when I showed up Armando helped me out. When I asked if he could do the job, he did not hesitate for a second and said he absolutely could and has years of experience with leather. It's a small business but Armando's expertise and his explanation of how he'd do the work gave me confidence that I was in the right place. As I wore the jacket, he adjusted the sleeve, measured, made sure I liked the length, and marked with chalk. He quoted me a very reasonable price, and that was the amount I paid in the end. Armando finished the job in 2-3 days. When I returned to pick up my jacket I was sooooo happy with the result! It was perfect. He shortened the sleeves by exactly 2.25 inches, as he had measured initially. I inspected the sleeves and there was no noticeable ugly markings or indication that it had been altered. I ended up purchasing the jacket in a another color and brought it here to get the same job done. Once again, Armando delivered, a quick and flawless job!

I had the body length of the jacket cropped by about two inches, which also required adjusting the zipper. As luck would have it I found Jabbar on Yelp and he takes most forms of payment. On top of his friendly demeanor and his years of experience as a tailor, he was able to take out a few inches off some dress pants I have. He must be that good because he asked a simple question of do the pants still button close. On that one question he knew to take out a few inches. When I got them back a day later, they fit perfectly. He let me try them on in one of his dressing rooms. I am definitely using Jabbar for any future tailoring needs. The one day turn around was very nice. He also has a very nice clean shop.

I did and arranged to stop by, kept asking for the address, and finally he gave it to me, but called back later and ask I stop by later that day. When I tried again in the afternoon, he gave me an address and said his sister is helping him and will meet with me. Went to the home and the man introduced himself as Don so I was so confused. He said a business partner is sending him leadals, maybe that is Don? The woman (Loan) was very sweet who did my alterations. Anyway, whoever I ended up being sent to was ok but it wasnt Don and cant find her listing to leave a review there. Leaving this here so others are aware they may be sent elsewhere instead of Don.
