Came in on a Thursday afternoon around 2-3PMish. My orginal lady up at fambam I realized is no longer there :( so I had to find somewhere quick and decent pricing asap. I came into this little philipino owned business needing some patches sown on to mine and my husbands vests for Saturday. Super nice super friendly and I was told it would be ready Friday by 6:30PM. I googled the phone number to the shop and saw they actually close @6 so I called and they said they were ready. My patches were sewn on perfectly. They even wrapped them with plastic && hangers. Last month, my wife and I were looking for a Barong Tagalog for my son and a friend. We looked at Yelp reviews for the SD area, and saw Finas Cleaners. We checked it out, and the place did not disappoint. The selection of clothing there (BT, Filipiniana, etc) were plenty and beautiful. Ate Jessica was so helpful with our BT search, taking the time to show us clothing and answering our questions. And I with I found this place sooner because their barong prices are much cheaper for same quality than the other place selling barongs locally. I was looking for a "last minute" alteration for the dress I planned on wearing for my 50th birthday celebration and came across Finas Cleaners. When I walked to the shop, I immediately felt welcomed. They were busy, but Fina was willing to help me with the dress on the spot. When I tried the dress on so she could size it, she gave me her Hines opinion about the length of the dress (I wanted to cut it at knee-level). Fina shared her opinion with me and said the dress looked elegant and classy as it was, and suggested I didn't cut it. I took a close look at the mirror while I had the dress on, and she was absolutely right! I decided not to cut the dress. I really appreciated Fina's honest feedback and recommendation. I can tell she's not about making a quick dollar, but helping people with honesty and integrity is her priority. She won my business! The stitching by the zipper on my work jacket was leaving a hole, and the waistband on a pair of work pants broke, so they were unwearable. I found Fina's on Yelp, so I took them to her for repairs. The repairs were done perfectly, and in a timely manner, and if I ever need any more alternations, I'll take them to Fina's. Terrible Service. There To Collect A Payment The shortening of my suit sleeves had to be extended from 10 days to 15 days. Due to them still being too long, per Fina's recommendation. For a seamstress of 12 years she sure didn't know what to recommend to customers. Nor had the personality to take responsibility to her mistake. She would have been delighted for me to walk out with my suit sleeves still too long, not even having made much improvement to the aesthetics of my suit appearance, nor having accomplished the end result we were looking for. Upon closing my service, she added an extra surcharge charge to tip herself stating it's justified because the extra altercation she had to make. She closed the tab in frustration and tantrum. I explained I'm not looking to argue. But she throwing her fit. She swiped my card, threw the receipt AND my charged card back at me. It tumbling on the desktop from her tantrum. I patiently asking if she need me to sign anything. Not this time. I looked at the husband / man who witness the whole thing in surprise. As I walk out, I hear him asking her "why?" She complaining about how long that altercation taking - when the first length was from her recommendation in the first place. read more

Came a across Finas cleaners a while back when I was going to supermarket that is located right next door. I am so very glad I found this place, went to take some curtains that needed altercations. Fina is such a sweet lady! She is very helpful friendly and excellent work. She fixed my curtains, yay!! Before going to her I went to a place near my home and they were wanting to charge more than the actual curtains were worth. Trust me when i say they have very reasonable prices.
