I went to Tereza a week before a wedding I had to attend and asked if she could simply the straps on my dress (too long, kept falling down) by the same time the following week. She said she could do it no problem so I of course left the dress with her. The day I was scheduled to pick my dress up I called around noon and Tereza informed me she had not even started altering my dress (concerning) but would have it ready for me by 2 PM. I got off of work and showed up to her shop around 4 PM. When I arrived Tereza spent about 15 minutes looking for my dress and told me she could not locate it. Probably because her shop looks to be so disorganized. The longer it went with her rubbing her head, sorting through piles of clothes, and saying she didn't know where my dress was the more I started to worry that she had completely lost my item. Finally, she located my dress. However, when she pulled it off the rack, it still had needles, pins, and markings all over it. She had not worked on my dress at all, when I was going out of town for the wedding the next morning. She then asked how late I was willing to come back - the night before my travel - so that she could alter it last minute. But at that point between lying to me that she could do it in a week, lying that it would be ready by 2 PM, and mislocating the dress completely, I had lost all trust in her business and services. I declined her invitation for rush services because I didn't want anything else to go wrong and informed her that had she been honest with me and told me she would not be able to alter let alone keep track of my dress - I would have simply taken it to another seamstress. While she was a sweet woman, this was incredibly unprofessional, non-transparent, and disappointing. It also was extremely inconvenient and put me in a huge bind days before an important event. You want your seamstress to be detail oriented, organized, and reliable and she was not. I would not recommend her and will not be returning. read more

My husband and I planned a trip to Vegas. I purchased a few clothes from Shein for the trip. One of my purchases was a long strapless, very revealing jumpsuit. It was cute, but the bottom looked business and the top looked party. I called Teresa and she said to bring it over. When I walked in, she was helping other clients. It is a very small shop, so you can easily hear about what other people need altered, and you can tell that she has very regular customers. I knew I was already going to like her from before I even reveille an alteration. I told her what I'd like, and she asked that I try it on. I warned her that it is a Vegas outfit, so it's going to be showing a lot of boob. I walked out and she didn't bat an eye, which made me relieved. She knew exactly where I wanted it altered and said I could pick it up on Friday. (It was Tuesday) During my lunch on Friday I picked up the jumpsuit. She asked if I wanted to try it on, but I declined because I had to get back to work. I appreciated the gesture though. I was charged $20, which I think is fair considering she tightened up the entire bottom half of the jumpsuit. I didn't end up trying it on until we were actually at the hotel and it fit BEAUTIFULLY!!!! I felt so slim and sexy in the outfit. It was perfect read more

I am so thankful to have found Teresa. I forgot I needed my bridesmaid dress hemmed and it was the week of. In a panic I saw Tereza was just down the street from me so I gave her a call and she kindly took my request and squeezed me in. I was able to pick up my dress a couple days later and it was perfect! I didn't even care about the price. The quality of the hem was just amazing and I couldn't thank her enough for her quick work and kindness. I've been looking for a good place to do my alterations since moving to Fresno/Clovis, and I've found my go-to person. I called Wednesday asking if I could walk in to drop off a pair of pants for alterations. I let her know that I would be going on vacation on Friday, and that I would really need to put a rush on my order. I called several places prior to calling Tereza and either they didn't take walk ins or they were far too busy to have my pants done by Friday. Tereza was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She has a little corner changing room where you are able to change into your pants/dress and she will fit you. She will ask you what shoes you are going to wear with the outfit, the fit you'd like your pants, ect; she really takes into consideration everything you would never consider but really should consider before altering your clothing. I was able to pick up my pants on Friday as she had put a rush on my order and I tried them on again right then and there. They fit PERFECT. Tereza is an expert and really knows what she is doing. I saw a negative review and had to write something because it was ridiculous. It's hard to find good people for one and two who do their craft well. Tereza is amazing and has done many of my suits and patched up expensive clothes for me for years. She is one of the sweetest, honest ladies and does a phenomenal job. She won't overcharge and will tell you if it's too expensive or not worth it to fix. I also overtip her because she doesn't charge much and is extremely high quality. I sense the one negative review was a last minute type of person or someone who will look to get upset want to complain regardless. Please disregard that review. I have taken in quite a few different items of clothing. She is a bit slow so make sure you drop off long before you need the item done. I rarely need alterations my old lady retired so I tried here from the Yelp reviews. I had a bridesmaid dress that just needed a small hem ..Maybe half an inch and then I wanted the hip taken in a little so it didn't poof there and make me look larger. Ended up only needing to hem the very front top layer only, nothing around sides or back and then she told me no on the hips and refused to take them in. I just agreed since I needed the dress back in 10 days for the event. ... so again. Half an inch hem on 1 layer only and only on the front maybe 14" of fabric. She charged me $30.00. Oh and then if you want to use a card 2 dollars more. She had the dress the full 10days and then I had to call to see if it was ready or not. ... Thank you and I will not be back. I had to drop the dress to be pressed immediately. so just praying it's right. read more

Went back because I had a great experience with the first visit with great pricing and felt like the next time visiting I was taken advantage of. Paid way over and stated how could you charge me 5 times the amount as the first time for similar alteration (length cut) and she stated just bc you come back (returning) customer doesn't mean I give discount or better price. I charge on time I spent. I left my items there for two weeks and when I called to pick up my order she stated she didn't even start on them!!! My event was three days after my original pick up date. She said give me another day it'll be ready. SHE CHARGED ME EXTRA FOR HER RUSHING when I gave her extra time! She did not charge me on the work but instead for her own inconvenience doing it "last minute" even though I sent it in weeks prior. Will not be returning. Felt taken advantage of she obviously didn't care stating "it's ok if your not happy find someone else that can do it". No apology for the delay, up charge, and no empathy. read more
