This used to be my go to. But have had bad experiences the last two times. We picked up a tux that we gave 4 weeks time to do and went to pick it up and she hadn't started it. Went to the back room and did a few stitches and we said, no please take some additional time and do it right. After a week, went back and all she had done was stitch the inner lining to make it seem tighter. She charged a couple hundred dollars and did nothing except hem the pants and a few stitches in the jacket lining. NEVER AGAIN. read more

I took my wedding dress here since it was the only place recommended by the shop I bought my dress from and I wish I had done more research and went somewhere else. Each time I went no one was ready for me and there were always tons of people coming in and out looking equally as frustrated - even though I had an appointment. It was frustrating each time I went and I was sooo over everything at the end even though it's supposed to be a fun event in the wedding process. Happy to never have to step foot in there again. My dress ended up being too big even though she said they would take it in for me during my last fitting. Extremely disappointed and honestly heart broken at my whole experience. I went in atleast 5 - 6 times to do alterations and check ups. Each time I went NOTHING had been done that we had spoken about in previous alterations. I was so kind and patient the entire time. Yen does not had an eye for detail at all. He work is extremely sloppy. It had to come down to a week and a half before my wedding to actually start kinda freaking out and getting emotional. She had 4 months with my dress and nothing that I wanted to be done was done properly. Not even the hem. She hadn't even sown on simple buttons that I wanted. The place is such a disaster, I really don't know if she knows what the hell is going on. She does not care about her clients, they are just dollar signs to her. At the end of it all, I just ended up buying another dress a week before my wedding because I was so let down and felt like she had actually ruined my dress. I was heart broken. I wish I could have used those 4 month of her messing me a round with another alterations lady. Please don't let her ruin your wedding experience like she did mine. :( read more

If you want your clothing to look good, go somewhere else. Both of my dresses are new, with tags. They look like there were on the bottom of a pile of other clothes, very wrinkled. The alterations were done in a hurry, looks very unprofessional, like it's done by me. I went to pick up yesterday at 11am, I was told to come back after 2pm. I went to 3.30, still not done. Went next day, I had to wait 38 minutes as someone was "working on it". The work was done in a hurry, looks very ugly. I have to take somewhere else to have them redone. I've been there a handful of times and not once have I ever been satisfied with the customer service provided. There are multiple reasons why. Once you hand over your article of clothing to be altered, they place it in a big pile full of other customer's clothes where it gets lost in the mix. It wasn't shocking that on the day of pick up they'd search for ten or more minutes trying to find it. In addition, the clothes are never ready by the date and time they promise. I've had to wait for thirty minutes while they worked on it. I've even called the morning of to confirm I'm going to pick up and to be sure it was ready, but even calling ahead didn't help. On my last and final time going there, another customer was also upset stating that she was never going back either as they lost her clothes too. They even ruined one of my dresses that really should have been an easy alteration. They are very pricey and the owner prefers you Zelle her or pay cash. Be prepared to pay a lot more if you use a credit card! Bottom line, I caution you to find another place for your alterations! read more

I went to yen in order to get a dress hemmed. I often called alteration establishments and ask for their available dates because they're usually booked for at least a week after I've asked to make an appointment. When I called, they said anytime is available, and I can come in when something works with my schedule. That was so relieving, knowing that I had flexibility with this establishment. The alteration fitting took 5 to 10 minutes, and the woman who assisted me was very kind, and explained everything as she was working. In addition to my experience, there were several people who came intothe store while I was getting fitted. They all knew her personally, or she made it seem that way because the environment was so welcoming!! read more

I'm so disappointed to have to say she lost two of my dresses. She did eventually find one and when she returned it the small tear I brought it in to get fixed was still not repaired. The second dress was never found. It was my favorite dress I only wore one time and I paid a pretty penny for it. I begged her to let me come and look for it bc there are clothes everywhere and my dress was a thin small material that could easily be crumpled up under all that disorganization. They're friendly enough, but the place sort of a mess. There are clothes everywhere behind the counter and in plain view towards what I assume is their work area toward the back. I mean haphazardly strewn garments with no organization... it took them about 10mins to find my pants which they'd hemmed when I came in for pick up. I think I'm lucky they could even find them. In addition, both pairs were hemmed longer than discussed and measured. Wearable after a wash but still longer than she'd shown me. The Robert Graham store at Gardens Mall has some deal with them where they provided free hemming, otherwise I would have stuck with my regular Tailor in Juno Beach... Custom Fit. read more

I only had a couple of pairs of pants hemmed. I brought an example to copy. They hemmed the pants too short. I had to wait 20 minutes when I went to pick them up because they were not ready - a week later - and they were being ironed while I was waiting. Then I was asked twice if I could pay by cash instead of a credit card. I told the woman the first time, I did not bring cash. $15 per pair for a simple hem is more than I pay up north. Yen did an amazing job altering my wedding dress. The day I came in to drop it off with her, I didn't even have to say a word regarding what areas I believed needed fixing. Within 15 minutes, she had pinned and tucked places of the dress I didn't even realize needed to be worked on, and I was out the door! The day I came in to pick the dress up, we had some issues figuring out the best way to bustle the dress (the bottom was made up entirely of about 10 layers of tulle)... after about an hour and a half, and some tears on my part, we came up with a solution that I was quite happy with! Ultimately, my dress looked more than perfect and I would recommend Yen to ANYONE. Thank you soso much!!! read more

I will never use this business again. I brought them a formal gown for my son's wedding to be hemmed in the length only. My mistake for not trying it on when I picked it up. The day of the wedding, I put the gown on and the lining had NEVER been altered so it hung below the dress. We managed to pin it up for the ceremony and reception and no-one was the wiser. One would assume they are professionals and would know to also hem the lining of the dress. When I brought the dress back to have it fixed - they offered me a $30 in store credit. I later brought in a cotton sun dress to be altered in length only. The cost was to be $25. When I went to pick up the dress, she told me in addition, they altered the shoulders for another $15, but would call it even with the $30 credit. The dress was a sundress - there were no shoulders and I never authorized an alterations other than a hemming off the length. Needless to say, there was no altering of nonexistent shoulders. Additionally, they charged my son $15 per button down shirt to put in two buttonholes on each side the collar. They are not worth it. The place looks a mess. Garments are everywhere. read more

This place used to be great! I had my wedding dress and 2 other pieces altered here in 2008. I sent my husband here with 2 pairs of hospital scrub pants needing a simple cut hem. He needed them in 2 days which the place agreed to do...charging $12 per pair! That is really expensive considering the service, but i assumed it was due to the time frame needed. My husband went to pick up 2 Days later at 10am and not only were the pants not done, they were laying in a big pile with other clothes on the same counter the lady left them 2 days before! He had no choice to wait for them to complete the service because we had no where to go and have them done by that afternoon. He waited and she still vharged him full price! He asked for a discount because of the inconvenience and they said "no this is what we charge for our pants". He continued to press and was ignored. He paid full price...took his pants and left. We will never refer this place again, nor solicit service. Thank God it was 2 simple hems and not any formal attire or time consuming job! read more

If I could give this place Zero Stars I would!! They were AWFUL and almost ruined my wedding. First: They said my wedding dress would be ready by 2pm on the Thursday before my wedding. I went and the lady did not have it pressed and did not offer an apology! She told my mother and I to come back at 4 but I was not able to make it due to prior commitments. So My mother picked it up and I wasn't able to try it on until my wedding day ( I'm an out of town bride). Second: On my wedding day I tried it on and the bust was concaved and the bustle drug on the floor. So all night people were stepping on my dress. I had to put socks in the middle of my bust to keep it from folding in. It was so embarrassing because people could tell. Third: I called and asked for my money back and they told me I was lying and that they would not do anything whitout me coming to the shop and showing them. They only said this after they found out I live in TN and had to fly back right after the wedding. What an awful bunch of people. If you need jeans hemmed then sure try them out but for anything important PLEASE do not trust these horrible people!! read more

Had a pair of pants to be altered. Promised Saturday , went in Monday and they couldn't find them. I finally spotted them and they were not done! I questioned how much they were altering and took the time to try on again to have them double check. She had pinned the ticket on and when I put my foot in the leg it ripped,the,fabric. They told me my fault for not checking! I even said I would assume some responsibility as it is a small biz etc. she said nothing! I was flabbergasted. I left her the pants and will never return. Nice people but terribly unorganized and not good at their jobs. My wife,took three times to get a hem correct on a gown, she was smart and never went back. I don't usually trash small biz but I had to tell this story. I was even thinking of small claims just to get their attention as they cannot treat people like this but old rich guy in small claims for $225 pants....not likely to get a sympathetic ear...my bad for returning after earlier issues.
