Courtney pierced my septum today and she did the most wonderful job. She was very friendly and professional. Before I even gave anyone any money I was treated to a nostril cleansing and a brief septum massage to determine weather or not my septum was fit for a piercing. I was warned that the nose cleaning would be unpleasant but honestly it wasn't that bad. After finding that my septum was indeed of the finest pedigree and highly sought after by those who stab flesh for a living I was asked to lie down and relax in a comfortable chair thing. Courtney made light conversation which I found relaxing and she was not offended that I maybe smelt like a burrito as I had just gotten off of work. Some more probing was done to my nose and I was given a gentle warning before I had metal inside of my septum. I can't lie, it hurt a little but hey... its a piercing. My eyes watered and Courtney was ready with the tissues. 4 hours later, no pain. Just the new refreshing sensation of surgical steel in my nose. This is my third piercing as I had my tongue and snake bites done already. Oh yeah and 30 bucks! Probably the best price you'll find in Tacoma, believe me I've looked. I will most definitely be back to see Courtney at Alternative Ink for future piercings. read more

I can only speak for Cassidy Linn and Amanda Pierce. These two are the best. Cassidy is the most amazing tattoo artist I have ever come in contact with in real life. She is personable and fun which is good because we just spent 5 and a half 6 hour sessions together or so? Working on the most glorious back piece. She took what I wanted and made the most beautiful picture. I get compliments from everyone. Her talent is vastly beyond her years and she will be my tattooer until she retires. I now have 3 tattoos from her and each one is just as fantastic as the last. I trust her completely to give me something I will love for life.I even converted my husband to her. He is in the middle of a large back piece and she is flexible, understanding and attuned to all of our needs. Amanda has pierced me and my little brother. Alternative Ink is amazing!! The staff is awesome everyone does great work. They treat you with kindness and care. Its very clean and they are always on top of everything. Piercings are my personal favorite and the piercers always go above and beyond to make sure I am comfortable and tell me everything about healing and aftercare. I have had many friends get tattooed here and the tattoo artist are very creative with a very steady hand. Its pretty important to get something meaningful tattooed on you not something everyone else has and their creative brains will help you come up with something amazing! Today my friend and I got our belly buttons pierced. The piercer was one of the kindest people I have ever met. Everything was thoroughly cleaned, packaged, and sterilized and she made sure to show us every step. She even made sure to change her gloves many many times in order to reduce any risk of infection. She warned us before she did anything was had a wonderful sense of humor and charm to easy our nerves. She gave us clear cleaning instructions and made sure we were happy with our piercings. Jessica did my nose peircing. I've had tons of peircings done before but never quite so well. I had looked into a nose peircing for years and finally decided to get it I looked for a person who would be friendly relatable and I'd be comfortable with. When Sean was there, he did an amazing job creating a matching sisters tattoo for me and my two older sisters. Loved what he came up with! I got my first tattoo here and just let me say it was a very good experience. Cassidy did a terrific job. I love my zebra. She stayed after closing to finish even though I was late to my appointment because of bad traffic. But the 2 hour drive was worth it. Most tattoo artists don't really care too much about the clients. But she took time from her day to do this beautiful preice of art for me.
