Let me start with parking I parked in the hotel garage and was surprised by the $25 flat fee . I don't remember it being that high before, but I didn't have much of a choice. On top of that, the kiosk for entering and exiting the garage was giving everyone trouble. It wouldn't read my card, and after what felt like 50 swipes and trying a second card (per the attendant's suggestion), it finally worked. Thankfully, I was able to park close to the elevators after all that. Once I got to the 18th floor, the experience definitely improved. I was greeted right away by the hostess, but my date had already texted me where he was seated. We had early reservations, so it wasn't crowded at all. The ambiance is still beautiful very "grown and sexy" although the weather was cloudy, so the view wasn't as stunning as it could've been. My date was a gentleman and pulled out my chair (love that!), and shortly after, our waitress Valerie came over to greet us. She was amazing the entire night. We already knew what we wanted, so we ordered pretty quickly. We both got the Sunset Margaritas, which were really good. For food, I had the AC Burger and my date had the steak sandwich, both cooked medium well everything came out great and tasted just as good. We ended up taking a couple tequila shots and ordered another round of drinks. Valerie stayed attentive the whole time, checking in on us and patiently answering all of my date's many questions without missing a beat. Overall, the vibe here is definitely more adult and upscale not really a kid-friendly environment in terms of atmosphere, but since it's in a hotel, families are still welcome. The ambiance and feel of the bar is very "sultry" and "intimate." The mood lighting, dark paneling/interiors paired with the bar itself being lit to be the center of attention, lends itself to the secretiveness and LURE that a modernized speakeasy would provide. I truly enjoy stepping foot into this little hidden, but NOT so hidden, gem (which can be accessed from the interior to Talay). Service can be slow at times - especially when they are busy. However, the staff is usually always gracious, helpful, and willing to serve. The few great mixologists I've met there have also been very willing to break down how they make their drinks and really give us a glimpse into their world. So, I'm appreciative of that. That is not something that you can always expect at bars. As for the drinks (and food I'll glaze over), I am usually not left disappointed. I appreciate that seasonally they play with their drink menu and introduce new cocktails. I also love a handful of their signature drinks on the menu. This may be the only bar I've had a drink with Aperol in it that I actually ENJOYED (and not tolerated). The pricing can get high depending on what you order, but for the area and the going rate of a night out, they hold their own. Definitely don't pop into Noir if you are looking for an AFFORDABLE cocktail experience because the tab will creep up on you. The food is OKAY. They share a kitchen with Talay and offer some items not on the Talay menu - which is nice. However, I rarely eat when I visit, so the few times I have, it's been okay. Nothing to truly brag home about. I am happy, though, that they did start offering food because in the very beginning (when they first opened), that was not an option. The entire place is so well decorated and if you look around there's tons of fun details and decor. The menu is made up of a map and they provide everyone with their own personal flashlight to see it. When you order certain drinks, it triggers various special effects. At times, it felt like an adult rainforest cafe with changing sounds and lights. Our server went above and beyond to make our experience great, going all out with his special effects and overall sassiness. You get a two hour allotment and our server did a great job of updating us of how much time we had left. We will definitely be back!

The drinks are very on theme and they have them divided by how much alcohol is in each. Some are even made to share! Also we learned as we went that some of the drinks come with a special show! I'll keep the surprise going and not tell you which ones! They are quite expensive (over $20) and the ones I got tasted awful...but it was more about the experience! You'll need to navigate one set of stairs to reach the bar, followed by another once you're admitted. The atmosphere is perfect: dark without being overly so, with beautiful candlelight throughout. There's seating at the bar and a few tables inside, while most of the seating is outside beneath a covered glass awning. The drinks are excellent--some of the best I've had in Orlando. The bartenders are incredibly knowledgeable and true masters of their craft. If the bar is crowded, drinks can take a little while, but they're well worth the wait. I originally found Hanson's while looking for a place to repair a pair of vintage Vietnam combat boots. Instead, I ended up having some of the best drinks of my life. I went to sleep with the boots beneath my pillowcase, and when I woke up, they had somehow been repaired. Perhaps the spirits of the boots were pleased with my drink choices. A wonderful experience all around!
