Great local spot. Kid friendly and affordable. We got the potato skins which were awesome and also a pizza special with ricotta, pepperoni and hot honey. It was delicious. We really miss the Alumni originally located in Quincy so when we found this cafe, we were excited. The service is excellent. The minute we walked in the door we were seated and everyone is friendly. Ambiance is nice, it's basically a sports bar with nice booths and tables both. It was very clean. I tried the onion soup for an appetizer and it was fabulous with plenty of cheese (just the way I like it). The pizzas were so delicious! We ordered different kinds and all were excellent. We were surprised to find such a large menu and look forward to trying more items when we return. We grabbed a few pies to go for family waiting at home. The only issue I would mention is to ask for the pizzas NOT well done when ordering takeout. They were cooked too well done making them pretty much inedible after reheating at home. What a great meal I got and their touch less takeout service was great and easy! I ordered their Buffalo chicken wings for the first time and they were really good. When I called to place the order she asked if I knew how their takeout service worked and I said I did not. She explained it and I love how they set it up. Give them your credit card and call when you get to the parking lot and they will bring it out to a table. Super easy, super safe. The chicken wing order was the large order and for the price its a win-win! Sorry I waited so long to order from Alumni! We have been coming here for about 2 years roughly 2 times a month. IT IS ALWAYS REALLY GOOD. The Service is Great, The Food is Really Great (plenty to choose from of Pub Food) with plenty of TV's on the Wall to watch whatever is on OR play Keno!! I'm sorry to say we have only won $4 in Keno. You can go in and sit wherever you'd like ! It must be a good place to work because most of the same people are there when we go. 2 thumbs up from me and my Hub! PS - their Bar pizza is A+ & the Turkey Tips are A+ too...but we have had a lot of other food there as well that was just as good. I don't know why we waited so long to go there. read more

I got the chicken breast with gravy, and it says two 7-ounce chicken breasts and it wasn't. It was 1 tiny breast smashed to mimic 2 breasts, I guess. The gravy is flavorless! Wow. The Buffalo dip was amazing, but it was better than the people. They burned my sisters burger, we told them, and they didn't even take it off the bill. The people were real jerks. I have heard people at my workplace talk about how this place is political and they don't feel welcome with the Blue Lives Matter flag, but I have never seen any of the staff be nasty here and for me I don't judge by what others say I judge it by my own experience with the food, service, and the atmosphere. And I would say I have never had a bad experience here. There was one time some guy let his kids take our scratch tickets but it didn't have to do with the restaurant just a couple bad apples in town. They'll get their karma The food here is consistently great, and the pizza is the best in town. The bartenders and waitresses here are also great and make us feel welcome. We had takeout from here last night as we have a few times in the past. Their curbside procedures to accommodate the Covid-19 requirements are super quick and stress free. The staff we encountered were polite, efficient and very cautious to protect everyone's health and safety. Our food was delicious and the portions are more than generous. The menu is extensive so there is something for everyone. My personal favorite are the quesadillas as well as their burgers. I would definitely recommend Alumni to anyone looking for a great meal. read more

For me, the Alumni in Wollaston was the gold standard for bar pizza, along with Lynwood. I'd heard great things about Town Spa in Stoughton, but that was a bit further than I wanted to drive on a few beers. When they opened the Alumni in Pembroke, just a few miles from where I live, I was thrilled. The atmosphere wasn't as divy as Wollaston, but the pizza was still great. Unfortunately, over the past several years, the pizza has gone downhill. My guess is that they found a cheaper cheese to use. Straight out of the oven in the restaurant it's not bad, but after a ten minute ride home, it hardens quickly and is a bit unpleasant. Still not a bad place for a beer or to take the family for dinner. read more

What a great place. I have been going to alumni my entire life! My parents got engaged at their previous location in Quincy and, thirty years later, still go to the Pembroke location a few times every month!! I would HIGHLY recommend this sports bar! When I went last night our server, Alex, did a really amazing job!! She was quick and attentive with a great personality and smile! I even watched her handle a difficult customer with grace! The few times I've ordrerd were only take-out. I found the pizza to be nothing special,very greasy bar room style.Another time I ordered some kind of club sandwich which was very processed and salty and the fries were soggy. You pay for take out by the back door where the kitchen is and the food prep area didn't look to clean to me.Prices seemed high for such mediocre food. read more

I understand with this pandemic times surely have changed. I went to the alumni café for the first time after seeing their lobster rolls every day on Facebook. I couldn't wait to try it out I was very impressed with how everything was set up in the back patio. You couldn't even tell there was a whole other world back there, until you went around to the back. I got a white sangria for a drink. Being there it was more ice than drink I ordered another with "less ice" which is how it came. I also asked for water as I always have water when I have drinks. I might add I usually have one drink but, because I got mostly ice with my drink that is why I ordered another. I was never told I would be charged $2.50 for water. I have never heard of a restaurant charging for water. Granted the waitress brought me a bottle of water but, I was never informed of the charge prior to her bringing it. Shame on them. I'm being forced outside because they are not opened inside. And, they pull a scheme like that. I could have run across the street and gotten the water for $1.00. Staff was relatively attentive. I had to toss a glance or two in the direction of our waitress to get her attention when there was a bit of a lull in service. To start, my friend got the onion soup and was pleased. I got the house chili. It was... different. It was good, just not used to such a soupy chili, but again... tasty nonetheless. I got the Montreal Bleu Burger (Montreal Seasoning/Bleu Cheese) and she got the Reuben Sandwich. Food was hot and very tasty. Seasoned fries were spot on. I got the onion rings (I prefer a thicker cut, but the shoestring onion rings here were not bad). We split a turtle cheesecake (only other items on dessert menu are two chocolate items). If this was a frozen cheesecake (as I would have suspected from a pub), you could have fooled me. Cheesecake was very good, caramel on it was warm. Just a nice final course to our meal. I will be returning here to try some more dishes. AND... they had Molson!! (My beer of choice) read more

Dropped in after looking for furniture next door. I'd heard there pizza was very good but after a few days of over indulging I thought I would eat a little healthier. I ordered salmon but wasn't expecting much from a pub known for good pizza, burgers and wings. I was pleasantly surprised. The fish was fresh and cooked perfectly. My wife ordered a salad with grilled chicken that she said was excellent. The chili appetizer was very good and the service was also good on a busy football Sunday afternoon. Once we got the bill we got another nice surprise. Very reasonable. Will definitely be back again. read more

My husband and I have been coming to Alumni since we moved to Pembroke and I really like the townie feel to the bar. The food was always pretty good until about year or so ago. They changed their pizza and it tasted okay not great. The cheese looks dry and weird. The worst is how you feel after you eat it. Tried it a couple of times thinking it was in my head but it truly can make you feel sick to your stomach. I hate to say it cause I really want to like this place it was our go to for so long. Wishing maybe they would switch back to the old recipe. The other items on the menu are your normal pub food nothing crazy. Food is boring but what's worse is the environment. I was waiting for a take out order for some time near the bar where a big group of men were loudly talking and using the n-word, f-word and going on and on saying some truly shocking and hateful things considering the place was full. The employees interacting were laughing and nodding along with what they were saying and they seemed like regulars or friends of theirs. It was disgusting. You can get this food literally anywhere else. Avoid. read more
