I actually have no problem with that except that he was really rude and it seemed as if we were a real bother to him. He wasn't friendly at all, perhaps he's just not a morning person, He couldn't answer one question out of 3 that was asked regarding fishing. When my husband asked to buy a fishing licenses he rudely responded you can't get that here go to Walmart or the Tax Collector might sell you one. He seemed delighted when he said oh it's Saturday you have to go to Walmart. I asked if we could purchase licenses on Sanibel, he said no, you have to go to Walmart. I found that to be highly unusual. He never asked how much shrimp my husband wanted, just threw some in a bucket. We were not happy and just left. I Googled where to buy a fishing license on Sanibel, two bait shops came up. We stopped at Bait Box. There was a 15 year old young man who was so friendly and helpful, what a difference from our first experience, night and day. There was not one question my husband or another customer answered that the young man couldn't answer. He seemed very happy to help and assist in any way he could. NOW THAT'S CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Once we arrived at our fishing spot my husband noticed the bait bucket he bought at Catch'um Bait and Tackle was cracked and the latch wouldn't stay shut, the shrimp were not that fresh.. Needless to say when in that area again we will NEVER go there again!!! The next day we went the Bait Box for more more shrimp, the amount that was given to us and the price made us realize that young man from Catch'um Bait and Tackle really ripped us off. The shrimp from Bait Box were so lively we could barely hold on to them to bait our hooks, If you are going to Sanibel to fish stop at Bait Box for your needs....They have a wide variety of fishing items, fresh bait and FRIENDLY SERVICE!

The back room has some sale and secondhand items, and we score big here every time. The secondhand section is tiny tiny, but it's right up my brother and I's style alley. He scored two nice safari-style shirts and I got a really cool tee! He also found Dickies pants for $8 - insane steal. Because it was mating…read moreseason, we saw a lot of gators, beautiful birds and even some cows grazing near the shore in the lake. They have some cool tropical birds on their front entryway that are always fun to chat with! We have taken numerous guests here and always find the staff to be super friendly and the airboat drivers knowledgeable. It is a fun and educational ride for people of all ages and the cost is reasonable. There are other airboat operators who do the fast twists and turns in the mangroves, but I personally like this ride on Lake Trafford. Highly recommend!

Brought my grandchildren for an adventure and primarily see some alligators. We saw many many…read morealligators and if fact it was crazy just how many there were---large and small. The lake and area was impressive as well. The reason for the 3 star is that we were told to be there 15 minutes early and then actually waited 45 minutes in the hot sun for our ride to start. The captain of the boat was knowledgeable friendly and very nice, HOWEVER, he did get us stuck in a low lying mangrove area. We actually had to be towed out by another boat who actually just happened to be in the area. This put us further behind in schedule AND I'm sure shortened our actual tour because we went right back to the dock area. The captain could have at least apologized for getting us all stuck. Also---I'm not entirely sure what I was expecting but the store area was pretty sketchy and run down to say the least. Again--the big positive is we saw tons of alligators which I guess was the point of to begin with.
