Rust, grime and abandonment doesn't begin to describe it. I was really upset. offered the guy 30% of his asking price, take it or leave it! I didn't even drive the bike home... took it straight to Gus. he pulled the entire bike apart, every component, every screw, every cable... the pictures were depressing but when I got the bike back... Whew! it was, "in perfect condition." That was the biggest job I could imagine, but tune ups, general repairs, problem solving... all my issues go to Gus.

All I wanted out of my neighborhood bike shop was their help installing a couple of bike tubes so my wife could ride the neighborhood with her granddaughter. My lord he went into an entire spiel about bearings and sprockets that went in one ear and out the other. Iam talking about a beat up old bike we want to tool around the neighborhood for one more summer. Thanks for nothing! Oh yeah, looks like they have a nice inventory of bikes in there. I recently purchased an electric tricycle and took it down to this shop this morning to see if they could help me with adjusting the headset. The person in charge there asked me where I got the trike. I told him it was shipped to me pre-assembled. He got very snarky and said "you shouldn't buy a bike online. That's we have bike shops" and he went on to tell me it would cost me $400 just to have the privilege of having his Royal Highness look at the trike. Apparently this bloke was bitter that customers were buying bikes and tricycles without going through his shop. So he was determined to get his $$$ one way or another. So if you have any problems with your bike that was not purchased from this shop, stay the hell away from this shop. They are going to extract a pound of flesh from you one way or another. It s sad how customer service and friendliness have changed in a few years.
