Absolute Thieves!! The son, the father and the wife! Totally agree with all the negative reviews, don't understand how they are still in business. Not only did they not show up and ghosted us, when they did finally arrive 3 days later cause of the weekend, they came with a small truck, so charged for a second move the following day: what a rachet! But most importantly, they stole/kept many of my belongings!! They insist they didn't but where are my paintings, my art sculptures, huge mirrors, next table, standing lamp, huge tapestry?!! We contacted them on Facebook, set a date and time, we confirmed a few times, they said they had everything they needed and that everything was ready but they never showed up. Very professional service. Four men packed on day and they were on time. Second day they loaded two trucks including a freezer with meat in it. They plugged in the freezer over night. The third day they came and unloaded the boxes. The final price was $400 less then their quote. Beacon would not move the freezer and was reluctant to take pictures down from the wall. After seeing the other reviews here, I notice this is a pattern with them. They insist on you leaving a review on google but when they actually do a job, how convenient. Very unprofessional, why would you even be in this sort of business or any and do this to people. I have used them twice a year ago and then a month ago, my husband needed to move new furniture to his office. Both times everything went well. This time I am very bothered and angry because since November 3rd we confirmed the date and time, again last night for 9 am today. I see it is almost 11 and start texting and calling and nothing, then the wife of one of them sends me a text at 11:27 saying that they got into an accident on their way to pick up the truck. Imagine the hardship caused by a mover who doesn't show up, doesn't communicate, and completely ghosts you on moving day. It happened to us yesterday. Here's what he did: Alavaro confirmed the move with my partner on Monday - a move that was scheduled close to a month ago - and confirmed with me again Tuesday night for Wednesday. He not only confirmed, via text, he told me he'd be there an hour earlier, 11 a.m. instead of noon. I responded to his text. He knew the exact address from prior communications. 11 a.m. Tuesday comes and goes. Noon, nothing. 12:30, nothing. I sent texts, my partner texted and called. I verified the address through text. I called TWENTY TIMES and never received a response. They just never showed up. Believe me, I am not a competitor trolling this man's reviews. IT REALLY HAPPENED. So IMAGINE having all your furniture moved out of Location B the day before, including your bed, in anticipation of other furniture being moved from Location A the following day WHICH NEVER HAPPENED (we stayed at an AirBNB overnight, thinking foolishly, the next night we'd have a bed BECAUSE ALVARO WAS SUPPOSED TO MOVE THE BED BUT NEVER SHOWED UP). Imagine having NO FURNITURE the next day at Location B because THE MOVER NEVER SHOWED UP. Imagine Location A, WHERE THE BED IS, is no longer an option because you're a renter and you've given notice that this was your moving day. Then imagine having to tell the landlord that the mover NEVER SHOWED UP and having to scramble to think of what to do with the furniture that the mover never moved because HE NEVER SHOWED UP. So at Location B there's no bed to sleep on. No tables, no chairs. BECAUSE THE MOVER NEVER SHOWED UP to move this stuff. Imagine the cost involved in suddenly having to purchase a temporary bed because you can't spend another night at an AirBNB and you'll need something to sleep on while you're regrouping in the coming days to find another mover. Imagine taking the day off of a busy work schedule when there's only so many days to go around and waiting for a mover who not only DOESN'T SHOW UP but also DOESN'T COMMUNICATE. So ... I see a lot of people here have actually been moved by this man and I can only assume that when he does show up, he may very well be decent at what he does. But for us, this is not acceptable business behavior. It is not right to treat customers like this and it is not good business. He shouldn't get away with it. If I could give negative stars, I defiantly would! This company doesn't even deserve the 1 star I am being forced to give them to leave this review. What moving company leaves a client stranded on their moving day? Alvarez moving does!! We booked our move a little over a month before we had to move, confirmed our move the day before and were told, "all good, we will be there!" They never showed up!! When we tried to reach them the day of our move, they ghosted us. We sent text messages and called both numbers we had for them, no response. They left us in such a terrible situation scrambling to find a last minute moving company to move us on the same day! Terrible company, extremely unprofessional and to not show up and ghost someone that was confirmed more than once is absolutely appalling!!! Seems like you do this to people often based on other reviews!! Moving is stressful enough and what they are doing to people by not showing up is such a terrible thing!
