The employees were quick to lead us to their area of the store with chilled, fresher flowers so we had even more options. We opted for a few different rose colors with baby's breath. The whole bouquet came out to around $15 pre-tax which is competitive with grocery store prices, but fresher and fun for the DIY aspect! Also, I don't like the moss they have in their orchids. I prefer the mulch-bark-style because it drains better and the orchids are happier in the mulch-bark-style.

I ordered a nice bouquet of flowers for my daughter, to have delivered at her work. I even upgraded the bouquet to the largest one, the one with the most flowers and very little greenery. Upon delivery, my daughter called me, then sent a picture of the bouquet. I was so upset, I went to the flower shop. I had a screenshot of the bouquet I'd picked out, online, and a picture of what was delivered. The lady that helped me first, looked at both pictures and gasped! She said, "It looks like it was dropped!" When I mentioned the distinct difference between the number of flowers in the online picture and the actual bouquet, she said, "Yes, that's definitely a problem!" Then she went to get who, I assume, is either the manager or current owner. This woman proceeded to tell me how beautiful this bouquet was when it left the store, and that, if I wasn't happy with it, I could go pick it up and bring it back and they would "rework it", but said the number of flowers that were in the bouquet delivered, was the appropriate number of flowers! I paid $140 for this measly looking bouquet! I have to add, many years ago, when this store was still very new, I personally knew the owner, and worked for her for a while. I placed the order on-line late at night for a funeral arrangement. Got a call at 8:15 the next morning from Kim. She was out of one of the listed items for the basket I chose and helped me revise the order to my satisfaction. We are out-of-state, so this personalized service was very welcome. Today the family called after the funeral. They were very pleased with the basket, saying it was the prettiest arrangement they received. We are very happy with Kim and Alvin Flowers. read more
