I appreciate the work that was done and the final product does look good, however I am not impressed with the road that got us here. Materials were just thrown in the street, noone even checked if there was a better spot to dump them on Monday. Didn't even have the guy ring the doorbell. This would normally be fine other than the fill dirt was blocking half the street. Tuesday no show due to rain in the central valley. Wednesday Installed turf first time. Loaded my sod to be hauled away even though we asked for it to moved to the backyard. Decided to remove irrigation without asking and plugged the hole with the bubbler that was attached. Installed on the wrong border line and clearly didn't match the plan. Thursday, thankfully someone came and corrected the line and the turf now looks much better. Cut my irrigation line trying to find it after they buried it. Directly lied to my wifes face about having taken measurements to ensure that the turf would be at least 2 feet away from sewer connection. Decided to replace rock that was removed by taking it from other areas of my front yard. Overall very unimpressed, the lack of communication is one thing but directly lieing to your customers face is a completely different issue. Amazing service and care. We bid our yard 3x and Ben was the only person who spent the most time measuring, asking questions and truly listening to our needs. Ben also mentioned areas we needed a darker window screen material to prevent turf burn. This info was new to us and were so happy we knew about it prior to our install. After the initial visit and quote, 4 companies were considered. We chose Always Green not just for price, they were right in the middle, but the personality of the sales rep. There was the delay with getting Hoa approval people out of town and other excuses, but we finally got the go ahead, called in and told them, Always Green we had an approval. We had our turf installed in November and have had nothing but issues with it. Mind you this is my second time having turf. I had some for 14 years at my prior home. We have called the office to have them come out multiple times. They came by twice, the gentleman that was out here said we shouldn't have weeds pop up all over as well as the urine smell from the dogs. It is lifting on one side. First time they came out the took pictures. Second time they came out the just dropped of some spray to help with the smell. Scheduled a 3rd appointment to have the weed issue taken care of and they never showed up and will not answer the phone now. I spend 8k dollars on this turf and it's crap. I contacted Always Green Turf originally to have turf installed . After careful consideration Amanda did let me know they also did pavers and Austin would go over there services during our appointment. Austin did show up and he was on time and that's something I look for in an individual and a company that I'm looking to do business with. During Austin visit we went over all my choices and of all the companies I obtained estimate from he put me at ease and gave me my quotes to either pay cash or finance . By the time Austin left and get the quote emailed to me I called and advised him I had chosen his company. What also impressed me was that Always Green Turf was not requiring I pay half up front to begin the job and with so much uncertainty going on right now he sold me on his company. As promised Zion called within 24 hrs and scheduled my installation and from meeting Austin to scheduling with Zion , my pavers were installed within 8 days. I was totally impressed with Zion when he did the final walk thru with me to ensure I was happy . I had a small area that was not paved and I asked Zion to measure so I could go to Home Depot to get small section of grass turf, and Zion went above and beyond and advised he had some turf in his truck and out of no where he said let me cut a piece of turf for you for that area. I just recently had turf installed by them and let me educate you since they failed to educate me. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE WINDOW SHADES before installation and cover all areas of grass if you do not have them. Your grass will burn within 2 days of installation. Everything started off pretty well with this company somebody came to my home on a Saturday and we signed that day. He casually mentioned "you're going to want to get window shades" That was the end of the conversation now keep in mind we discussed all kinds of things while he was here and work that would be done to our backyard not done by this company so his casual mention of window shades did not click that it would ruin my grass. I took as another suggestion for what we should do in the backyard. During this meeting we were told installation would probably be done in 2-3 weeks. I get a call on Monday stating they can begin installation on Wednesday and complete by Thursday. Again no mention of window shades. When they complete the work Thursday I ask the manager overseeing my project why they nailed down a tarp I had in the backyard over an area of grass. It was at this time I was finally told because the window can actually cause the grass to burn. The manager Aaron pushed for a finalization meeting to collect payment on Friday although that didn't really work for my schedule I eventually agreed because he stated that if I found anything wrong over the next few days he'd be out ASAP to fix anything. We'll come Sunday areas that weren't covered by the tarp were burnt. Why was I not instructed to cover these areas? NO CLUE. I should've told to cover the other areas until window shades could be installed. Now I'm being told there is nothing they can do and luckily it's just a small portion of my grass I didn't even get to enjoy my grass for a week and it's already ruined. Had I been instructed to cover the other area of grass I would've done so. But I wasn't. If they would've told me to cover it and I failed to do so I would agree that this situation would be my fault and not theirs but because they failed to educate me I feel as if they should fix this situation. For a company who has been doing this for so many years why isn't client education a key important factor? read more

Had a gentleman come out to offer a quote. He was professional and seemed knowledgeable. However, I feel the company is taking advantage of the market. Which is their right to do so. The quote was $15 per square foot. I have had quotes from several companies, ranging from $5 to $8 per square foot for 70-80 ounce turf. I acknowledge there are difference in qualities from one brand to the other for sure, but there cannot be that much of a difference to warrant a near double in cost. I am also Leary about trusting the reviews, they offer a 2 percent discount for each positive review on various social media platforms and google reviews. I recommend doing research before you book this company. It is possible I am wrong and their extremely high price is a good value, I just find it hard to believe.
