I judge house cleaning services in three ways: Quality is #1 and the excellent cleaning with these ladies is very consistent. Attention to detail is #2 and Ingrid has it. She will address small special requests and gets to know your requirements. #3 is price. You could pay more and certainly pay less for cleaning services, and I've done both. Wanda charges a price right in the middle and her cleaners still deliver a high-quality consistent cleaning service. Wanda, owner of Always Home Services, is quick to communicate and respond to queries. She appears to have her finger on the pulse of the business and knows where her employees are and when they might be available for their next job with me. Thus far AHS has done vacation home housekeeping and outside window washing for me. The housekeeping charge was $45/hr, which is actually a bit below what other cleaners in the area charge. In truth I can't recommend AHS at this time because I've not been to the vacation home since they did their work. But some of my colleagues have been there and they claim that AHS and the window washer have done really great jobs. So I'm giving the five star rating based on what they have shared. read more

After years of neglect I decided to hire a cleaning service for our cabin in the redwoods outside of Santa Cruz. I knew no one who was in a position to make a recommendation. So I made my choice based only on Yelp reviews. I was thorough. I realized that for many cleaners, the first 10 or so reviews looked great, but if you dug deeper, many earlier reviews were negative. I chose Always Home Services based on all of their 5 star reviews. I have not been disappointed. Wanda, the owner is super attentive and always answers texts quickly. In the same week that I contacted her, she set me up with two people to do deep cleaning and a third person to wash the windows. Ingrid and Blanca had the place shining by the end of the day. And Gonzalo, who did the windows was relentless! The windows on our two story house were a mess. And the aluminum trim and tracks on the sliding doors were full of mold. He arrived at noon on the day and stayed till dark, returning the next morning to finish the job. He was amazing. After the initial cleaning, I set up Always Home to do a regular monthly service.
