We didn't just hire a sailboat, we hired a wonderful experience thanks to Simeon and Tony. This team of two really go above and beyond expectations and are very personable. Unbeknownst to us, they had prepared some traditional Hawaiian music and Tony had gathered every last plumeria flower on the ground in Maui that day to help make our experience a great one. Toward the end, they served us some fresh pineapple and let our 2 year old steer the boat back in to shore. You know you are with good people when your highly skeptical son goes right into their arms. I highly recommend this outfit to anyone and we will be sure to hire these guys again for more sailing adventures!

Born and raised on Maui and I've never been snorkeling before, Captain Manu and Captain Reece made me feel comfortable for my first time snorkeling. Very knowledgeable about marine life and and very helpful. Both captains have years of experience in marine life and wildlife. They had bottles of water and snacks for our convenience if we didnt bring anything else. We were welcome to bring our own snacks and drinks as long as it wasn't in a glass container or alcohol since this is a family friendly activity. I never realized that snorkeling makes you hungry. But they had chips, so that helped a lot. Our first stop was Manele Bay. I told them I know how to swim but I wasn't comfortable without a floatation device over the reef because I didn't want to accidentally damage the reef. It was so beautiful and it changed my life, so much so that I'm adding snorkeling to my list of hobbies. Our second stop was Mala Ramp. Got to see turtles, white tip sharks, and fish that I normally see behind glass. We even had a dolphin pod following us. It was magical!! During this snorkel trip I learned that Captain Reece goes on research trips to study whale migration and habits. Capt. Reece also studies coral and does coral restoration here on Maui. Captain Manu was a volunteer at some of the lahaina distribution hubs after the fires and helped other survivors get back on their feet. I also learned that Capt Manu has been working on boats for over 15 years. So yes, the crew has a lot of experience. I want to go again soon and I can't wait for whale season to book again with Maui Adventure Cruises!! Thank you Captain Manu and Captain Reece!!! It was an incredible trip!!

We saw hundreds of fish, a white tip shark, spiny seastars, turtles, and even a surprise monk seal just a short paddle offshore. Barry knew exactly where to go to see the best sites, with no "hurry up" pressure or gangs of people like some of the kayak tours. I think we got our tickets through the hotel for around $65 each . Compared to the $100+ I've paid before for cattle boat sightseeing tours, this was a GREAT value for a ninety minute intimate look at the waters of Olawalu.

Went on a Whale watching kayaking tour last Saturday and had a BLAST! Our tour guide, Kris, was…read moreawesome!! She did a thorough introduction before we went out on the water, helped us get on/off our kayaks with ease, and made sure we were all safe while respecting the Hawaiian waters and their majestic creatures. We saw so many whales breach in every direction, heard their songs clearly above water and under water with the paddle trick. Kris also took a few photos of us while we were out there! It can be a little difficult to hear out there on the water, so be sure to speak up and ask your tour guide to repeat if needed. Would have loved to hear more about facts about the whales and Maui in general, and it'd be cool if the tour guides used Hawaiian words like "Huli" which means "flip over". Luckily we didn't huli! Tip: Be sure to hydrate, eat a snack, wear reef safe sunscreen, long sleeves if it looks cold, stretch your hammies, and use the restroom beforehand as they don't offer these during the tour. I wish I brought my hydroflask, but I survived! Also, help out your locals and leave a tip if they meet your expectations! No need to bring cash unless you have a place for it, they'll email you with the photos and their Venmo to optionally tip.

My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon in Hawaii and chose to scuba dive for an exciting adventure…read more She is open water certified and this was my first scuba experience. After a brief training session in the pool at the Ritz Carlton (very fancy!) we did two scuba dives; the reef dive and a kayak dive. The water was amazing, and our instructors did a great job showing us some secrets of the sea. We got to hold an anemone and sea cucumber, and saw turtles, puffer fish, humuhumu, and hundreds of other tropical fish. The kayak dive was much more adventurous (although not as clear the day we went). We paddled to a secluded dive spot and got to see octopus, eel, frog fish, and a baby turtle. This is a great experience for a first-time diver, such as myself, or for a certified diver, such as my wife. We both had a great time (although, how can you not have a good time scuba diving in Maui?) and highly recommend this company for your scuba experiences.

We had plenty of time to scoot around on our own in pairs, too.
