We were staying in central Kihei where there are numerous businesses renting snorkeling gear. Our friends pointed us to Auntie Snorkel, where we rented two sets of snorkeling gear at a very reasonable price (especially considering my wife's need for a facemask with prescription lens). Kyle did a great job of fitting us and recommending places to snorkel. Everyone we interacted with was very personable, welcoming and helpful. I ended up returning the next day as there was an issue with my snorkel. They were very apologetic and quick to replace. Our third interaction was a day later, when my wife realized that she didn't know where her gear bag was. It wasn't in the condo or in the car, so we headed all the way back to the south beach to see if it might be there. Nothing to be found, so she went back to the shop to figure out what she owed. As soon as she walked in, they showed us the gear bag that another beach-goer had dropped off the prior day. What a relief! All-in-all, a great experience at a very competitive price. Second time renting from the Kihei location and had a great experience with Art (Arthur) helping us out. We picked up 4 adult snorkel sets and a floaty for my toddler. Art made sure to ask about our comfort levels with swimming and recommended my dad get a floatation device to aid with snorkeling as he doesn't consider himself a strong swimmer. He also made suggestions for snorkeling locations where we could see turtles and answered all of our other questions. We went to Auntie Snorkel because of the deals we saw online. We got fitted to our gear, and the gal told us to take a bogey board (rent 3 things get one free or something like that) Unfortunately while we were parked in their parking lot all of our gear was taken. Once we realized what happened we went back to Auntie Snorkel. We had to pay for all the gear that was stolen and the most expensive thing was the bogey board. We paid for the gear and got more to rent. While using the gear the flippers gave me blisters and the wet suits were unisex, the shoulder area was way too big and the legs were tight. If I was to do this again I'd get on marketplace and buy the gear for cheaper. read more

Best place to rent snorkel gear on the island! Cheap, easy and great equipment! They make it so easy. I can't wait to come back next May when I am back on the island. 24 hour rental and I was able to return it to the other location as well! I had returned it when the staff was not present. I ended up just leaving it int he front of their store which I was so skeptical about, but they entrust their customers to the fullest! I took a quick picture of the equipment and texted the worker. If I could, I would give this place 10 stars! We booked our rental in advanced on the website - easy and with clear directions, the next day, we picked up the surfboards with Burton and he was funny, super helpful and fast! The surfboards were in great conditions and they provided the racks to transport for free. Burton helped us to set it up and gave us instructions to do on our own. Drop off, it was the same thing! Super fast and the two guys that helped us were super nice. Next time we will definitely rent all our beach gear with them! read more
