Some photos of the fish that we saw when we were underwater!

My husband and I booked this excursion for our honeymoon, and we truly believe this was one of the highlights of the trip! I was so nervous to go snorkeling because I actually can't swim at all but the folks on the boat were so supportive, and they gave me a lifejacket and a flotation device and I was able to safely go out into the water and snorkel without any issues! My husband was so sweet & also rented us a Go Pro to capture our underwater moments, and I'm so happy that that was even an option with this company! In addition to the incredible service that the folks on the boat provided for us, they also provided us with a four course meal - which included scrambled eggs, yogurt parfait, and delicious cinnamon rolls! This truly was a five out of five, All-Star experience! Highly recommend for anybody visiting Maui !!

We did the sunrise snorkel tour to Molokini and turtle town, and it was excellent. We're glad we did the early trip because there was nobody else at molokini when we got there, because the conditions were very very smooth at both places, and because since it was the first day of our trip, we were still on California time and didn't mind getting up so early. Other reasons this was great: very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff, easy pickup from our hotel, good food and drinks. It made for a perfect start to the day and the trip! Also, I think most people know this but snorkeling is a very very easy thing to do. If anybody's concerned about whether they're "up for it," I suspect you'll likely be ok!

This is a quality operation led by an engaging crew with advantages over other tours. Yes, it comes at a premium but the opportunity to reach Molokini early before any other tours and to have less boat transit time meant more time in the water. The crew: helpful, anticipate needs, entertaining, and most importantly concerned with guest safety and a quality experience. If you're staying in Kihei or Wailea, this is a no brainer. Much shorter drive or use the hotel shuttle to pick you up. We were back at our resort by 9:55 and had the rest of the day to relax by the pool. Thanks, Kai Kanani...we will be back next time. Your challenge - find something cooler to see than that octopus at Molokini yesterday.

Amazing early morning snorkel off the beach in Makena. No other boats at molokini. Great staff. Expensive but totally worth it.

We've sailed with Sea Maui 8 or 9 times on their Sunset Dinner, Sunset Cocktail and Whale watching…read morecruises. For us, we prefer the Sunset Cocktail cruise as it's the perfect amount of food and drinks. This last trip, we took the whole family for the express snorkel trip. It's a shorter trip, which worked perfectly for the younger kids and didn't tie up a big amount of island time. Captain Nick and his crew was all about making sure all had a great time while keeping safety at the top of mind. They guaranteed we'd see turtles... we did! Immediately. I accused them of being remote controlled because they were there right on cue! I'm not a big snorkel guy, but I had a blast. We'll keep returning to Sea Maui. Greatest crew on Maui !!

On our vacation to Maui last week, we took trips out to the sea with Sea Maui twice. Our first trip…read moreout was an adults-only family excursion while the kids hung out with their grandma and auntie. The catamaran was pretty sweet, with some really comfy bean bags overlooking the edge out to the ocean. While we did occasionally get splashed in this area, it was worth the unobstructed view of the sunset and the breeze in my hair. The crew was especially sweet and treated all of us like absolute royalty. A note to those who are prone to motion sickness: do not try to be brave and only wear sea bands thinking you'll be okay. Take your Dramamine an hour before you board the catamaran. While the first half of our dinner cruise was fine with my motion sickness, the second half of the trip left me feeling really queasy around dinner service time. This made me very sad. This was no fault of the crew, and 100% my fault for thinking I could tough it out. If you are ill-prepared, the crew has ginger ale, club soda and ginger chews to help. Speaking of dinner, the few bites I was able to eat on our first trip were fantastic: a full dinner buffet prepared by Cafe Jai. The salmon was perfectly tender, as was the short rib. The caesar salad was just the right amount of tangy (and the extra dressing was really great on the salmon as well.) I'm not sure what kind of sauce was on the crispy seasoned potatoes but they were absolutely delightful. And of course, the crown on top of a delicious meal was the mini brownie cup we were served for dessert before we wrapped up the trip. Our second trip (where I was prepared with some Dramamine) was a memorial for our grandparents, where we released their cremains at sea with eco-urns. I must say that the crew handled everything wonderfully. We had the full bar, another beautiful buffet spread including some delicious crispy chicken, a pesto pasta salad, pulled beef sliders, and rolls. After we said our emotional goodbyes, we were given rose petals to release into the ocean. We even received certificates after the trip that gave us the coordinates of where my grandparents cremains were released. I seriously cannot thank Sea Maui enough for giving my family a truly memorable experience on our trip to Maui. They made our trip so special. A million thanks for the kindness!

The boat also was not overbooked so there was plenty or room to sit and enjoy the views. The boat tour itself was amazing. The boat was clean, the crew were so welcoming, funny, accommodating. Service was great!! Also I did not expect there to be appetizers on the boat, but they were actually so delicious. We had chips and salsa, grilled shrimp, chicken quesadillas, potstickers and more. We arrived at the center early and there is pay via app parking in the public lot and checked in for the morning brief before we boarded our boat, which was the Kai Ko, a sailing catamaran. Afterwards, the whole group walked down to the docks for boarding. The Kai Ko is a lot bigger than I expected, which was able to accommodate up to 130 people with seating for all on 3 decks. We sat at a bench with a table up forward, but you can sit on the covered upper deck under the sail boom behind the pilot house or on the lower deck with the snack bar. We had the best view forward, but it is exposed to the sun & sea spray. A couple of families sat in the cargo netting right above the waves. The Kai Ko does triple duty for whale watch excursions, as well as dinner cruises and snorkeling, so is equipped for all three trips. For whale watching, they only use the engine and do not raise the sails, which they do use for more relaxed dinner cruises. We motored out of the marina and out into Maalaea Bay and encountered a mother and baby Humpback whales almost immediately. Later we encountered another mother and calf that was also accompanied by an escort whale, which is rare. The mother showed her tail flukes on her last deep dive, which is used to identify the whale by their unique tail markings. You learn a lot of whale facts from the onboard guides. Later, one of the crew lowered a hydrophone in the water to record & broadcast Humpback whale songs over the ship's speakers, which was pretty cool. There were other whales that did full body breaches out of the water, but we were really far away. The whole whale watch cruise is 2 hours and returns you back to the docks exactly on the hour. It was an exciting excursion and we got back in time for lunch.
