We went ahead and trusted the yelp 5 star reviews (big mistake!) and set up a meeting with Kaci to do our wedding. At first she seemed super enthusiastic and happy to do our wedding. So we went ahead and hired her to be our wedding coordinator. We found a spot that we liked and after "crushing some numbers" Kaci said was it was in our budget. We had many meetings with her and we sent many emails about what we wanted, so we thought Kaci had a good idea of our vision. We were wrong! The date was for set for a Saturday and it was a very important date for my wife and I cause the next day we booked a family cruise. Anyways after a few months Kaci suddenly sends us an email saying that the vendor is the most expensive she has seen and that the price has gone up! Huh? Didn't she research this? Why is she telling us AFTER we put down our deposit and many months later? Then she tells is that our ceremony is 30 minutes long and that the reception is 3 hours! Huh? Did we not talk to her about this? Why is everything changing? We sent out the save the dates and we put down a deposit so obviously we are freaking out. So we contacted her and this is word for word what her reply was ... "Sorry :(" A sad face?! A sad face?! Yeah your wedding date just went to hell and your venue fell through and the company that is supposed to watch your back during this process just sent you a sad face. We were very distraught and we decided to work with the owner Theresa. Another BIG mistake on our part. She met with her and she agreed that what happened to us was not right. We were very calm and nice even though we lost out on our wedding date and over $500. Then we ran into a problem. The dress maker that Kaci from Hustle and Bustle recommended to us, started threatening us and saying she was going to come over our place if we didn't pay her. She never even started on the dress but The funny thing is that we offered to pay her many times and sign a contract but most the time she didn't respond to our emails so we decided to look elsewhere. Now you think with Theresa, she would have a little more experience and tact. But when my wife called her asking for help, she said something to the extent of "that's what happens when you try to save a buck". Yes we got a dress maker that that her company recommended and now she is telling us this. We were very sad, confused with everything. We didn't understand. Is this what wedding planners normally? Were we not nice to her after losing a lot of money. My wife and I decide to give Theresa a call and speak with her about what was going on and in the middle of our conversation she started singing to her kids. Yeah just imagine, all these things with your wedding are falling apart and your wedding planner starts singing to her kids. After this we sent an email to her letting her know about our dissatisfaction with Hustle and Bustle. Do not hire them of you care about your wedding!

We are both busy, so planning a wedding was very difficult since we had limited time and knowledge. Tanya made the process very easy with no problems at all throughout the process. She is friendly, professional and extremely responsive. She also has very good attention to detail. We went with the full package since we needed quite a lot help, and Tanya was able to navigate us through the wedding planning process effortlessly. Her choice of vendors were also very helpful and all of them turned out quite well. I can honestly say that from the flowers, to the venue, to the catering, to the photographers & videographer and to the officiant, everything turned out exactly how my wife and I wanted. She was able to match up our vision of the wedding with the vendors, but she was also able to find the right people that matched our personalities. We knew Tanya was very helpful but didn't know how on top of things she was until we saw the wedding video. She moved around quickly and stealthily, doing things to ensure that the flow was great and effortless without being in the limelight. When people forgot to bring their champagne glasses up for the toasts, she swooped in quickly with a glass in short order. When we had forgotten to get a flower basket for the flower girl, she somehow magically produced a great basket out of nowhere. All in all, she made what could have been stressful process as stress-free as it could have been. She made sure that the actual wedding date was smooth, fun and without any problems. My wife still looks back on the wedding date and reminisces about how it was perfect and exactly what she wanted. I can truly say that this was almost entirely due to the fact that Tanya was there every step of the way helping us. You get to know someone well during the planning process, and we consider Tanya a friend who was able to make the wedding memorable and helped us have a lot of fun along the way.

I don't think anyone really knows before they have a wedding just how much having a planner/coordinator helps. There seriously is no way that our wedding would have gone so flawlessly without Yoleine there. We are still hearing stories from our guests about how she saved the day. Just a few we heard: -Watched out for a guest's parking meter so the guest wouldn't miss the ceremony -Got a guest Tums because guest wasn't feeling well -Told guests where to go and answered any questions -Had a great idea to move buffet after the place we had planned on it going didn't work out the day of -Picked up a new pair of suspenders for father of the groom -She worked well with the management at the venue Yoleine took my vision and made it a reality. People kept coming up to us at the wedding and telling us how fantastic our wedding was and a lot of that was because of how seamless Yoleine made it as well as her recommendations for vendors. The mom was trying to make sure her daughter could see since they got pushed out of the way twice and Amanda just stood there next to them the whole time cheering and clapping in their ears during the show. Put a bad taste in my mouth. The daughter looked like she was going to cry. Pretty disappointing considering it's supposed to be a happy event. Would give more stars for the event itself but if that's how they treat paying customers they get one star.

The more help you can get, the better. My fiancee and I found out about Bridal Premier through Groupon. We got a VIP package for four tickets that came with a gift bag including a wedding resource book and a bottle of champagne. Not bad for $20. The bridal show is held at the Hyatt Regency in Westlake Village. Very nice hotel and grounds. We signed in at the front and everyone received stickers (my fiancee got a "bride" sticker while everyone else got a "guest" one). The people running things actually recommended emptying the gift bag in the car so that we can reuse the bag in the show, which is actually pretty solid advice since there's a plethora of freebies. There are two different areas for the bridal show - as soon as you enter the front there's a hallway on the left filled with booths that lead to the big auditorium where the bulk of things are, but if you continue to go straight upon entering there's a section in the back (more on that later). There's a nice variety of vendors to peruse - DJs, venues, travel agents, gown/suit places, photographers/videographers, wedding planners, officiants, florists, and a heap-ton of food/catering places. There's also several photo booth vendors set up around the show offering free photos with props. All the vendors are pretty pushy with getting your details/e-mails so be prepared for that. And a lot of the booths actually share two different businesses so be sure to look carefully before approaching someone. I don't know if it's the area (rich & snobby) or if it's because we were one of the few non-white people in attendance, but we were a little put off that some of the people working the booths seemed like they didn't want us to approach them but were more receptive to everyone else. Odd. The second section in the back had a mini-casino set up and a bar. When we first signed in, we received free tickets for the casino which included a game of Roulette for the bride. There's no actual money involved and every bride is a winner so we won free wedding bands from a website. There's also a blackjack table that offers their services for your wedding (wouldn't have thought about having a casino at a wedding but to each their own). You can also go out back for more food vendors and to get some fresh air. Overall the bridal show is worth checking out if you don't have anything locked down yet. Lots of ideas to kick around, but we'll probably keep looking for cheaper services. The food vendors are pretty generous with their samples so don't eat beforehand!

Being in the wedding industry myself, I am extremely picky about who to entrust on our big day. Having a wealth of contacts to plan our own wedding, we undoubtedly knew Veronica was THE ONE for us! From our first interview with her she was on point, meticulous and had a back up plan for our "back up plan". She listened to our needs and wedding vision, kept me motivated and on time with my checklists and truly "got it". From day one I conveyed to her that we were looking for a "bulldog" day of coordinator/Superwoman that could handle a large wedding party (11 bridesmaids and 5 groomsmen), large family, out of towner guests and whatever drama might enfold. I wanted someone as detailed as I am, if not more but who truly cares and understands the entire process. We found all that in Veronica, and then some! Her attention to detail is above and beyond. She has her templates, checklists and timelines down to a science. The day of our wedding went off without a hitch (at least that I am aware of). That's what I call a GREAT day of coordinator. I was never concerned or bothered by things that came up because it was fixed before I even knew about it. She was there for us until the very end which was 1:00 AM and was so attentive and checked in on us often!! LOVE that!
