Worst experience ever!!! If you care about your wedding, make sure you finish reading this review before making any decisions. You know when people tell you about their wedding experience and how it went... well thanks to Hustle and Bustle our wedding was almost ruined. We went ahead and trusted the yelp 5 star reviews (big mistake!) and set up a meeting with Kaci to do our wedding. At first she seemed super enthusiastic and happy to do our wedding. So we went ahead and hired her to be our wedding coordinator. We found a spot that we liked and after "crushing some numbers" Kaci said was it was in our budget. We had many meetings with her and we sent many emails about what we wanted, so we thought Kaci had a good idea of our vision. We were wrong! The date was for set for a Saturday and it was a very important date for my wife and I cause the next day we booked a family cruise. Anyways after a few months Kaci suddenly sends us an email saying that the vendor is the most expensive she has seen and that the price has gone up! Huh? Didn't she research this? Why is she telling us AFTER we put down our deposit and many months later? Then she tells is that our ceremony is 30 minutes long and that the reception is 3 hours! Huh? Did we not talk to her about this? Why is everything changing? We sent out the save the dates and we put down a deposit so obviously we are freaking out. So we contacted her and this is word for word what her reply was ... "Sorry :(" A sad face?! A sad face?! Yeah your wedding date just went to hell and your venue fell through and the company that is supposed to watch your back during this process just sent you a sad face. We were very distraught and we decided to work with the owner Theresa. Another BIG mistake on our part. She met with her and she agreed that what happened to us was not right. We were very calm and nice even though we lost out on our wedding date and over $500. Then we ran into a problem. The dress maker that Kaci from Hustle and Bustle recommended to us, started threatening us and saying she was going to come over our place if we didn't pay her. She never even started on the dress but The funny thing is that we offered to pay her many times and sign a contract but most the time she didn't respond to our emails so we decided to look elsewhere. Now you think with Theresa, she would have a little more experience and tact. But when my wife called her asking for help, she said something to the extent of "that's what happens when you try to save a buck". Yes we got a dress maker that that her company recommended and now she is telling us this. We were very sad, confused with everything. We didn't understand. Is this what wedding planners normally? Were we not nice to her after losing a lot of money. My wife and I decide to give Theresa a call and speak with her about what was going on and in the middle of our conversation she started singing to her kids. Yeah just imagine, all these things with your wedding are falling apart and your wedding planner starts singing to her kids. After this we sent an email to her letting her know about our dissatisfaction with Hustle and Bustle. Do not hire them of you care about your wedding! read more

We met with several wedding coordinators, but of everyone that we had met, my now-wife and I connected the best with Tanya (from Hustle & Bustle). We are both busy, so planning a wedding was very difficult since we had limited time and knowledge. Tanya made the process very easy with no problems at all throughout the process. She is friendly, professional and extremely responsive. She also has very good attention to detail. We went with the full package since we needed quite a lot help, and Tanya was able to navigate us through the wedding planning process effortlessly. Her choice of vendors were also very helpful and all of them turned out quite well. I can honestly say that from the flowers, to the venue, to the catering, to the photographers & videographer and to the officiant, everything turned out exactly how my wife and I wanted. She was able to match up our vision of the wedding with the vendors, but she was also able to find the right people that matched our personalities. We knew Tanya was very helpful but didn't know how on top of things she was until we saw the wedding video. She moved around quickly and stealthily, doing things to ensure that the flow was great and effortless without being in the limelight. When people forgot to bring their champagne glasses up for the toasts, she swooped in quickly with a glass in short order. When we had forgotten to get a flower basket for the flower girl, she somehow magically produced a great basket out of nowhere. All in all, she made what could have been stressful process as stress-free as it could have been. She made sure that the actual wedding date was smooth, fun and without any problems. My wife still looks back on the wedding date and reminisces about how it was perfect and exactly what she wanted. I can truly say that this was almost entirely due to the fact that Tanya was there every step of the way helping us. You get to know someone well during the planning process, and we consider Tanya a friend who was able to make the wedding memorable and helped us have a lot of fun along the way. read more

I never though that I could or would ever use a coordinator. To begin, I was not going to have a typical wedding. I was sure that I would not be able to find any coordinator that would know how to handle some of the things that were going to occur at the wedding. I figured, if the band doesn't know, how can this lady and her team know. I am a bit OCD about things and because I always have control of all things going on around me, I found it very hard to let go with a coordinator. Well, I have nothing but amazing things to say about Hustle & Bustle. Theresa did a great job in everything. With our meetings and in speaking to her, she understood what had to happen and she knew very well the order of things. In the time that we worked together, she became more knowledgeable about the cultural things that were going to occur, than many of my relatives that have grown up with the traditions. Theresa is good. I have been to tons and tons of weddings and in all the weddings that I have been too, the Persian Jewish weddings, Armenian and $$$ Mexican weddings require a lot of control because there are always hundreds of people there (400+) and a lot of things have to occur in a short while. Theresa and her team did a great job. Starting at the hotel in the morning, Kayleen was on it! Kayleen was Theresa's right hand. She's good. This little lady is on top of it and she takes her job serious. Everyone in our bridal party loved her! They even invited her to take a shot of tequila with them but being the pro that she is, she kept working. Because a big majority of the wedding would be conducted in Spanish, Theresa even got us a Spanish speaking assistant just in case people that only spoke Spanish needed assistance. Throughout the night, I always saw the girls running around and doing things. Amongst 500 people they kept it together and one would have thought that these girls had work with the difficult, cultural weddings all the time. If you are looking for a coordinator to help you out, Theresa is the girl! If your wedding is super cultural and has 500 people, she's got it without a problem. It's hard to put into words how much Theresa & her team at Hustle and Bustle did for our wedding. My husband and I decided to get the full package through her as I was working full time & in the middle of my Master's degree. So many people told me I was crazy for trying to get married in the middle of all of that... but Theresa made it possible. Her dedication, professionalism, patience, direction, expertise and 'make it work' mentality made the process enjoyable and fun. Several months later we are still hearing "your wedding was one of the best I've ever been to and so much FUN!" Which is a credit to Theresa. She thought of things I would have never. Working with Michelle was wonderful!! She's so sweet and absolutely thoughtful, listened to what I was envisioning, and really made sure that our wedding day was beautiful and perfect! She was also super organized and provided prompt response throughout the entire wedding planning process. On the day of our wedding she made sure that anything we could have needed that night was taken care of before we even realized we needed something. I was not worried about a single thing the whole day & night. She even brought us appetizers and champagne right after our ceremony and made sure we ate before the festivities got started. To summarize: Theresa made our wedding better than I could ever have imaged. I could not have done it without her and I wouldn't want to. She and her team are amazing. I wish I could give 10 stars. Trust me, hire her. I'm a bit clueless about weddings and never really dreamed about it when I was a little girl, but I am very creative, a planner and a perfectionist. But, I wanted to actually ENJOY my wedding and so I needed help. I signed up for the Partial Coordination package, but Theresa gave us so much much much more than that. (And trust me, her pricing is beyond reasonable!) Theresa had wonderful recommendations for vendors for the event and seemed to really have vetted them well. Everyone I used was recommended by her-- but that's not to saying she didn't negotiate with them. She really went to bat for my budget and helped find creative solutions. She seemed to take over all the stressing for me! She went to most all vendor meetings with me and did a TON of behind-the-scenes correspondance without me. I think she did more work than I will ever know. I had so many questions about the big day and what is appropriate, traditional, what can be changed, etc etc. Theresa really helped me out there and planned so much of there ceremony with me. It's nice to have someone who's not in the wedding that you can be honest with and ask questions to. On the big day I had obtained several of the decorations myself - center pieces, glass figurines, guest book, candies, 10 cases of wine, giant wood logs, etc etc. Theresa and her team handled the moving of all of this and she made sure everything was set up to my specifications. You name it, she did it. And, it looked AMAZING. She choreographed the wedding procession, sent us all down the aisle and made sure we had everything we needed during photos and reception. I really can't imagine not having her there to run the show. Her staff worked with the vendors so seamlessly that I didn't have to deal with anything-- so i can't really say what went on, ha ha. I was having too much fun! More than anything though, Theresa's personality makes her shine. I was at ease with her instantly and had so much fun with her. Who knew wedding planning could be fun?! Her precision, wonderful attitude, creative vision, personal attention made me 100% confident that everything would be perfect on my big day. And, it was. B2B review. Kaci was the coordinator for one of the weddings I was hired for. I have to say, she turned that place into a dream. It was like the rest of the world didn't exist except for that few hundred square feet that was the location. From the lighting and the decor, everything was neat and classy. During the event, she was all over the place making sure everything was running smoothly and it did! She was working hard even after the event was over. I could see almost everything from where I was located and never was there a moment where I saw a hiccup. From the vendors/dj's/catering,etc all did an excellent job. I'm a bit of a control freak and usually afraid to let someone else run the show for me when I'm working on a project but hiring Theresa and her team from Hustle and Bustle Events was one of the best decision I have ever made! Upon the first time I met Theresa, she was bubbly, easy going and open to hear any ideas or concerns I had. Out of all of the coordinators that we met with, Theresa was the one I could trust in executing the vision I had for my wedding. From the day we signed on, Theresa was always accommodating to all of the questions I had. The décor, ambiance and entertainment for my wedding was superb. I hand crafted most of the decorations for my wedding and the Hustle and Bustle team executed the décor better than what I had envisioned. I also asked Theresa to help decorate my cake with my handcrafted paper flowers and I was so happy with the outcome of my cake decor. My wedding was perfect in every way because I never worried about one thing during the day. Our events were scheduled perfectly. Theresa contacted all of our vendors before the wedding day to ensure timely attendance, delivery and setup. Our wedding party and family photographs were scheduled on time because of the list Theresa helped coordinate. My mother said that it was so helpful to have our family lined up for photos since there were more than forty family members just on my (bride) side. My grandmother is eighty five years old and can't move around without her walker. Kaci, Theresa's associate was so kind to bring a plate of dinner with one of everything. It really meant a lot to me because my mother didn't have to worry about preparing an extra meal for my grandmother. My mother never agreed when I added an extra wedding expense to my budget but she was so thankful that we hired Hustle and Bustle! Since everything was running so smoothly on schedule, my husband and I had plenty of time for dinner and was able to eat a full meal. Theresa and Kaci brought appetizers to the bridal suite where my husband and I shared some alone time to gather ourselves before the reception. Kaci and Theresa always made sure we had a drink in our hands. When the evening was over, Theresa had mentioned that a child had put their hands through the bottom tier of the cake. I would have freaked out had I known during the evening but Theresa and her associate plucked rose petals from an extra centerpiece and covered the damaged portion on the bottom tier of the cake. I was amazed because I thought I got a freebie from my florist throughout the whole evening but it was actually Theresa who decorated the cake with fresh flowers. The best part of Hustle and Bustle's services were that all of our personal items were packed in our cars and ready to go at the end of the night! Our family, friends and I didn't have to worry about leaving anything behind at our venue because Theresa and her team gathered all of our props, gifts, take home food and personal belongings in our car. My husband and I drove away with a peace of mind knowing that we didn't have to run around the venue looking for something we have left behind. Theresa also referred us to an amazing DJ, Jason Michaels. It's been almost a week since our wedding and our guests are still raving about how smoothly our wedding ran and how wonderful and fun the entertainment was. By the end of the evening, our newly engaged friends asked Theresa for their contact information for their upcoming wedding. I also heard our photographer mention that she would also recommend Hustle and Bustle for her clients' upcoming weddings. I hesitate to speak honestly about how amazing Kaci was throughout the process of planning our wedding, because I have a hard time understanding how it's humanly possible for someone to put so much of themselves, work so hard and do such an incredible job for everyone she works with. Did we get some sort of fancy All-Star treatment? It certainly felt like it, but judging from the other reviews on this site, I actually believe the answer is no: she's just really really good at her job. Kaci was with us from the beginning, she helped with every step of the process (from Venue selection, Vendor wrangling, negotiations, and an ungodly amount of day-of labor along with her equally talented and hardworking assistant Tanya). We elected to put on a very DIY wedding, and knew going into it, for example, that while we could do WHATEVER we wanted to the old barn-style theater that housed our reception, WE had to DO whatever we wanted to the old barn-style theatre that housed our reception. Kaci and Tanya worked tirelessly in the lead up to the wedding getting everything perfect, then worked well into the night breaking everything down while the rest of us were still partying or sleeping it off. Kaci also had the unenviable job of keeping our amazing but eccentric caterer on schedule, which was apparently quite a to-do. I say apparently because neither us nor any of our guests had any idea that something was wrong until well after the event. But that's the point, I guess. Hustle and Bustle did everything we asked them to do, but they also did everything we never thought to ask them to do. They anticipated problems, dealt with them, and most importantly kept us out of it whenever possible. I could say so much more, but I fear that such a glowing review will only prompt readers to think I'm some plant just padding the stats. The SMARTEST financial decision we made for my wedding was hiring Theresa. From start to finish, I had no worries. She's so professional, organized and has an upbeat yet calming personality. And...she has great taste!!! I'm picky and type A (I'm a spreadsheet queen) and I could've trusted her to make decisions on decor, flowers and budget. I cannot say too many nice things about Theresa and her staff. She was my wedding coordinator. She was so knowledgeable and provided so many useful resources and vendors. We had no idea how much work went into planning a wedding. She walked us through each step and provided just the right amount of guidance. She gave us list of reliable vendors, gave us tipping guidelines and planned out our wedding ceremony schedule and coordinated all the vendors both prior to the wedding and on the day of the wedding. On the day of the wedding, our wedding went off without a hitch, it was so smooth I had nothing to worry about. We had no stress or worries. This review is for Elena Galaviz, whose company So So Fab Events has now merged with Hustle and Bustle Events. I hired Elena to be my day of coordinator for my wedding right after her company merged with Hustle and Bustle. I was really looking forward to having Elena coordinate my wedding because I had read positive things about her, but I never had the chance to because Elena hired other people to work my wedding. In short, at my wedding rehearsal, Elena, without sending me so much as an email/text message, sent a substitute because she had a family emergency. I understand that emergencies happen, and I trusted that Elena would send reliable planners she had communicated with and knew what was going on the day before my wedding but this was not the case. On the day of, the coordinators failed to: come on time (hour+ late), were not around when the cake was being delivered to track down the cake stand, set up the ceremony/reception, confirm the arrival of the vendors, confirm the layout, distribute flowers, keep us on schedule before the ceremony, keep people from wandering all over the inside of the venue when I was supposed to be hidden there, seat the family in proper place, cue the quartet for the processional (the importance of which I had stressed several times), line up the grand entrance correctly, make sure we had time to eat, help set up and direct the flipbook attendant, pack our rental vases carefully and without breakage, and pack our items as requested. Myself, my bridesmaids, groomsmen and family had to step in and do the heavy lifting. We were the ones to set up the ceremony/reception, made sure that all vendors arrived when they were supposed to, confirmed the layout with the venue's floorplan, called the florist to see where they were, distributed flowers to the wedding party, and packed our items at the end of the night after all the guests had left - in my wedding dress, nonetheless! I was extremely upset that the most important day of my life had become such a stressful and hectic event due to the lack of proper coordination and Elena's absence. Additionally, even one week after my wedding, Elena had not reached out to me at all to see how my wedding went and to explain that she had to leave town, even though she was back to posting on Facebook. When I emailed her, it took her over two days to respond. I expressed my disappointment with her lack of services and she initially agreed to provide me with a partial refund. I sent her a reply email and after not hearing from her for another week, I sent her several text messages. She finally responded that she changed her mind and didn't want to provide a partial refund anymore - very unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend Elena's services. Update: After speaking with the Hustle & Bustle, it seems that Elena's company never in fact merged with Hustle & Bustle, despite what she told me. However, Elena is a coordinator who works at Hustle & Bustle. The review I wrote above is solely for Elena Galaviz and the services that she provided. read more

One word to describe my experience with Hustle & Bustle is AMAZING! I honestly can't say enough great things about Michelle. She was the first wedding coordinator I called and after our initial meeting I didn't feel the need to search for more coordinators. All of my worries were put at ease, from our very initial meeting. She was always prompt with email responses and made me feel like I was the only wedding she was attending to. I didn't have to worry about anything because she went above and beyond to fulfill all of my requests. With Michelle overseeing all of the logistics of my wedding, my husband and I were able to enjoy our selves and our guests had an exceptional time! My husband and I were married on August 6th in front of nearly 250 family and friends, and the entire day was perfect. Kaci did a fantastic job! There were a lot of personalities involved in all aspects of my wedding and Kaci navigated them flawlessly. Hustle and Bustle provided us with Kaci as our wedding coordinator. She was amanzing. The best man said he was stunned as she appeared to teleport around the venue being everywhere at once. I was so grateful to have her assistance. I didn't need help setting everything up in the beginning. I wanted someone who would step in for the rehearsal and ceremony to make sure that none of the family had to take responsibility for anything. Kaci was a great source of advice. My husband and I are so happy with how our wedding turned out and it's all thanks to Tanya and her assistant from Hustle and Bustle. We hired Tanya to be our day-of wedding coordinator but we got so much more than that. We had unlimited emails with Tanya and she was very responsive and prompt on all her replies. She even replied to text so she's available whenever we have questions or concerns. For brides that are stressed with all the details of the preparations, having a very accessible coordinator is god-sent. She also did a venue walk through with us and was there during our rehearsal. As mother of the bride, it was exciting and a pleasure to watch my daughter, Hayley, plan her wedding with Kaci's assistance. When I first met Kaci, I was immediately impressed with her professionalism, wedding planning skills and genuine interest in her clients needs. Hayley was living on the east coast when planning first began, so most of their communication was by email and skype. Kaci was always available providing suggestions and resources as needed. The venue my daughter selected, the Los Angeles Central Library rotunda, was not a traditional wedding site for either the ceremony or reception (no kitchen and sound problems). It took a lot of time and effort to make this location work. Kaci dealt smoothly and tirelessly with every aspect from the rehearsal to the ceremony to the celebration. The entire evening kept on schedule, give or take 10 minutes, even through lost cases of wine, champagne, scotch and grandparents. Are you getting hitched and want your wedding day to also go off without a hitch? Let me tell you, you NEED Theresa! My fiance (errr, husband!) was the one who found Hustle & Bustle Wedding Coordination through the website ProjectWedding.com, and as soon as I had my first meeting with Theresa I knew she had to be our day-of coordinator. I can't think of anyone else who would have been as friendly, amazing, understanding or helpful as her. She is so patient and completely understood all of our needs. Our venue (Orcutt Ranch in West Hills, which was equally as awesome, btw) was very DIY, so we pretty much did all of our decor -- we were going for an antique & vintage-inspired wedding, so all of our centerpieces were old books and one-of-a-kind finds from flea markets, garage sales and thrift stores. Theresa was so incredibly accommodating and set up all of our centerpieces, our sign-in table and other decor perfectly; in fact, we couldn't have done it better ourselves! Just to give you a better idea: I tend to be a very detail-oriented person (my dad even told my friends/bridesmaids I'm a "micro-manager"...I'm sure I inherited that trait from him!). However, I was able to let it all go because I knew it would all be taken care of, and when my fiance (there I go again...HUSBAND) and I finally had a few moments to absorb the event, we were just so stunned at how beautiful everything looked. My husband and I were also absolutely clueless when it came to planning the details of our ceremony and reception schedule, and Theresa reviewed the entire thing with us and made sure it was reasonable and exactly what we wanted. There were so many times she asked us questions about things that had never even occurred to us to consider. Sorry to say but I would strongly recommend against retaining this company. Theresa was disorganized and unprofessional. She even failed to show up for the church rehearsal. When told by the bride of her mistake, her response was "Well, how did it go?". She was often late for meetings with vendors and, when she did show up, often had her child with her. DO NOT HESITATE to book these wonderful ladies! I was fortunate to work with both Theresa and Elena leading up to my wedding day. Initially, I worked with Theresa during the planning stages before she relocated to Florida, and then Elena took over. We hired Hustle and Bustle for day-of coordination but these ladies were also an invaluable resource during the months leading up to the wedding. Many day-of coordinators that I interviewed stated that they would make themselves available to me starting the month before the wedding, but not Hustle and Bustle! Theresa was always there for me, providing me with vendor referrals, giving me advice on layout and logistics, asking all the right questions of the venue site manager during our venue visits - she was on top of it! Both Theresa and Elena are super responsive, organized, and they checked in with me and kept me on track with all the million details and paperwork items I had to get done before the wedding. Elena and Michelle ran a very efficient wedding rehearsal and we felt very comfortable with how things would go on our big day. Then on the day of the wedding - wow! I can't emphasize how important it is to have someone running the show because there are so many things going on and it's crucial to free yourself up to enjoy the day as much as you can because it will fly by. Elena, Kayleen and Michelle did a phenomenal job the entire day. From setting up the venue according to our specifications, making sure our entire bridal party was fed and hydrated throughout the day, helping clean grass off my dress, to fixing my veil when the wind blew it off, to making sure we stayed on track according to our timeline, to packing up all of the many items we had to take home, I could go on and on. I wish I could give them 10 Stars! This was hands-down the best money I spent on the whole wedding. I did a lot of planning and researching and DIY, etc but I could not have pulled it off at all without Theresa. I hired her for the 'Day-of" coordinator package but she was there for me anytime I had a question for months before. She met with me and my vendors and asked them important questions that I had not thought of. Two days before the wedding she took over and contacted each vendor and had everything coordinated. On the day of, I had nothing to worry about. She took care of every detail. Her assistant Kaci was 'everywhere at once' and if anything went wrong all day - I never knew about it. The florist had brought wrist corsages for the Mother of the Bride (me) and the grandmothers, groom's mom. They were too large and floppy. Kaci had extra pins and converted them to pinned-on corsages and saved the day. Didn't miss a beat. Not only did Theresa and Kaci ensure the ceremony was stunning, the reception hall was transformed! And Kaci stayed until the last second and had every napkin, shot glass, etc accounted for and packed in our cars. She even had the caterer box up tons of food and cake for us to take home and special boxes of yummies for the Bride and Groom to take away. From start to finish Theresa was calm, knowledgeable and sweet. Elena was our wedding planner and she had the task creating our dream wedding in Cabo San Lucas. She did a wonderful job of responding to our questions and keeping us in the loop every step of the way. She dealt with the resort staff and made sure that my wife and I got to see pictures and maps of how the set up would look. Elena was able to make sure that we got exactly what we wanted even though it may have been that resorts biggest destination wedding ever.
