I did the partial planning package with Mary and my experience was okay. With the partial planning package, Mary takes care of 4 vendors of your choosing, as well as the timeline, etc.. With the vendors that Mary helped with I almost always had more specific questions and found it easier and more effective to connect with those vendors myself which was frustrating. A few times at least, there were things I had to follow up on or remind her about as well. At the end of the day she know's what she is doing and did her job, but did not go above and beyond to make sure things were going smoothly. I found Mary through Wedding Wire when we were looking for a day of coordinator and some light support a month before our wedding. We are SO happy Mary and her team! We live in Canada so we had to do all our communication by email and phone prior to the wedding which worked out really well. We booked Blossom Events for both coordination and floral arrangements for our wedding and we're so glad we did! We worked with Mary the most for all the coordination and DeAndra for the flowers. Mary was really easy to talk to and with her years of experience, she was able to help me figure out ALL of the logistics and provided me with a very detailed timeline. Once she had an idea of what theme I was going for, she would randomly text me photos of items that she'd find that fit my theme! We hired Mary and Blossom Events for floral services for our April 2019 wedding in Redondo Beach. Mary was fantastic to work with right from the start - she sat down with us to understand the color palette, types of flowers we wanted, and our budget. I wish there was a 10-star rating option as Mary would be the one person that deserves it! This lovely lady helped organize my wedding in two and a half months, and boy, did she pull it off! Bringing Mary onto my team was THE BEST DECISION I made throughout the wedding planning process. Overall, she is very responsive, detail oriented, highly professional, and reliable. Here are a few highlights... Before the big day: -Within days of us booking her, she sent us a feasible timeline and list of recommended vendors that she has already worked before. She understood the urgency of our pending nuptials and dove right in! -Email response times were within hours, sometimes MINUTES, and you always knew what she was working on. -Mary would contact me via email/text/phone call with any questions, details or updates to make sure that I was on track myself. Even though I was behind on a few tasks, she was just stern enough to motivate me to do my share of the work. Never did I feel like she was scolding me or looking down on me. She caught everything before they even had the chance to fall through the cracks. -Our venue was unbelievably difficult to work with (a nightmare, to say the least), so Mary took lead on coordinating all things that had to do with them. With her grace and professionalism, she made sure things ran smoothly with them, even when they tried to renegotiate the contract and change services they had promised. -Acting as a liaison between myself and our vendors, Mary set up all of our consultations as to not overwhelm me with scheduling. She attended almost all of these meetings with me and it was nice to have her there as my security blanket (and bounce ideas off of). -She looked over every contract with all of our vendors before signing. When our venue tried to revise our contract, she spent an hour with me over the phone going over it and flagging areas of concern. Even though I know she is so busy with other events, she really took the time to give me one-on-one attention. -I'd oftentimes receive random emails with her whenever she found something she thought I'd like, most of which she found when working for other clients. It was nice to know that she was still thinking of me even when she's busy with other events. Day of: -Mary and her assistant thoroughly impressed my entire wedding party and my family. They were dressed in all black (as to not stand out in pictures) and were busy coordinating over their headsets. They made sure that everything ran smoothly and according to schedule. -There were so many moving parts that had to come together that day (DIY projects, vendors who were unfamiliar with the venue, etc.) but Mary and her assistant were able to coordinate them without any hiccups. It was just magical. -The venue had made some last minute changes throughout the day and I didn't hear about any of them until a week after the wedding. Mary and her assistant miraculously patched up any holes and dodged every bullet without our knowing. -Even though Mary was constantly busy running the show, she was always by my side whenever I needed her. All I had to do was look over at her and she was next to me within seconds (I think she has some invisible wings or magical roller skates that pop out of nowhere). -Mary impressed my family and guests alike. My mom still talks about how impressed she was with Mary at the wedding rehearsal. When I first met Mary, she was very professional and enthusiastic, but unfortunately, she was not my first choice. When my original wedding planner went out the door, Mary graciously stepped in. DO NOT make the same mistake I did. Book her as soon as possible as she is the best person to have representing you throughout your event planning process.
