It looked like it came from the bottom of the ocean. I had to spend about $500 to get it ready to put in my truck. What should have been a fair transaction turn out to be the worst experience ever! I would never do business with these people nor would I recommend them. They nonchalantly said I could ship the motor back at my expense and they would refund me $400 of my $2000. I was trying to purchase a rear axle assembly, supposedly with 86,000 miles on it, and supposedly with a 3-year warranty. The problem is, the online warranty makes no mention of rear end assemblies. It also makes no mention of who pays the shipping if your part malfunctions within the 3 years. I called, and "Joseph" (but I understand they use aliases) assured me axles were indeed covered, and that they would send a replacement at their expense, and wouldn't even want the axle back, so no return shipping to worry about. GREAT! So I asked him to email those exact statements and we'd be good to go. No email. I called back and he said, "I don't have the authority to change our warranty policy wording." Huh? All I asked was for him to WRITE what he SAID. He wouldn't do it. I also asked for a photo of the axle. Again NO. I came here to read these reviews, and it all makes sense now. God only knows the REAL mileage if this axle, much less its condition. And the warranty is most certainly written to obfuscate and deceive. It says "3-year warranty," but every clause in it limits you to 30 days. I never bought from them, and recommend you read the warranty carefully, and maybe run it by ChatGPT, better yet an attorney, if you decide to risk it. I purchased a motor from AM used auto parts unfortunately it came with damage to the oil pan and bell house plate . I reached out to them they did not want to be bothered and blamed the shipping company. All I was asking for was out of pocket cost of $110.00 for an oil pan and gasket. I sent the pictures and Daniel called me back and said we sent you the right engine. The engine came out of a Jeep Cherokee and it will fit. I said Daniel, I will have to change out almost everything on the engine. Roche told me it is a pug and play, I asked if I would have to change out anything and he said no. I said if I wanted just a block, I would have bought it new. Daniel said, you signed the contract, that's your fault. He said there is nothing wrong with the engine and you don't want it, you can send it back. To send it back, I had to pay shipping which was $400 plus and 25% restock. I ordered a transmission for my 2014 AWD Ford Explorer from AM Used Auto Parts, but they sent me a front wheel drive transmission instead. They have a 7 day notification policy that you have to report to them by, or they will not honor your claim. My mechanics were not able to work on my vehicle within that timeframe. They were able to work on it a bit into the second week, but the company denied my claim because I hadn't reported to them within that timeframe. I could understand this more if I had ordered a part incorrectly, but would expect a quality company to fix their own mistake instead of hiding behind a 7 day notification policy. Below is the diagnostic report that AM Used Auto Parts requested from the mechanic who installed my engine. This assessment from the shop owner details the condition of the engine supplied by AM Used Auto Parts: "Customer supplied engine for us to service and install. Once installed, the vehicle starts but runs poorly due to multiple cylinders misfiring. Diagnosis revealed that the engine has low compression on multiple cylinders (below 100 psi). A functional engine should have a minimum of 120-150 psi. The AM Used Auto Parts engine does not meet these minimum specifications and must be replaced." Prior to this report, documentation was already provided to AM Used Auto Parts confirming there was a misfires on cylinders 3 and 7 following the installation. I, Ms. Bryant have instructed the shop to complete every task requested by AM Used Auto Parts. However, the repetitive and incremental request from them are beginning to be ridiculous. These requirements are causing significant out-of-pocket service fees for me to pay to the mechanic and is also consuming an unreasonable amount of time with the owner's business. (**** ELEVEN DAYS ****) On April 30, 2026 our mechanic called us and said the motor was not operational. It was making KNOCKING noises. We contacted the seller and we sent video of the situation. They told us in an email that that our warranty is outside the 30 day time frame. Mind you our paper work says 3 year warranty!! How can we have 30 days when we didn't even get the motor till April 16th. How can you start a warranty on something you haven't even received. That means you only have from the time of delivery till the warranty clears in NOT 30 days. we had exactly 11 days to the 30 time frame of the so called warranty to install". They start a warranty BEFORE you even receive product!! How!?!? They shouldn't be able to operate a business like this and take peoples hard earned money! Motor was bought for son who is just starting off. And they basically gave us JUNK! Shame on them! They weren't even willing to help with anything else. Just take our money. I seriously wish my husband had read the reviews prior to the purchase! They claim they Test all their motors. But when it doesn't work they tell you you have to add all these other parts to it. Everything seem like a good deal because the only has 57000 miles on for $2750 plus tax ..,so I ordered a engine they said it takes approximately 10 -14 days before they can ship it out to me.. they stated that the was fully tested ..."And it wasn't "so I asked for a an refund.. because when the spark plugs were removed they were green which is an indication of antifreeze on them .. they ask did do a compression test ... Awful bunch of scammers. DO NOT USE. They advertised a used Jeep transmission with a 3 year warranty on a car with just 72,000 miles. I paid $999 and had to wait for transport from Tennessee. Upon arrival a label attached showed a VIN No. from a TN vehicle An online check revealed the original vehicle had 174,000 miles. On inspection, we found both external and internal damage. We found a broken snap ring in the fluid pan, just like the one I had meaning a full rebuild was needed. They refunded just $179 and claimed they had met their warranty obligations. I purchased an engine from AM Auto Parts and this has been one of the most stressful and disappointing experiences I have ever dealt with. I made payment on November 6, 2025, and the engine was delivered on November 24. When my mechanic installed it on December 11, he had to replace multiple parts just to get it functioning -- including the valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, rear main seal, front seal, intake and exhaust gaskets, and the thermostat. I provided all receipts for these additional repairs. Despite all that work, the engine was extremely faulty from the start. The mileage I was told during the purchase -- 48,000 miles -- was not accurate. The actual mileage was far higher, which immediately created mistrust. The engine produced heavy smoke and a strong burning smell, and when I went to the shop myself, I witnessed firsthand that it was completely undrivable. And even at one point, when they started the engine, it ran for only about five minutes before it completely shut off. The entire car died unexpectedly.The whole car died right in front of us -- it was shocking and frustrating to witness I filed a claim on December 15 and submitted everything they requested: receipts, videos, photos, a full diagnostic report, and even communication between their staff (including Mr. Mann and Mr. Daniel) and my mechanic. Both of them confirmed that they received everything required for the claim, yet weeks have passed with no resolution. Every time I called, I was told to wait 3-4 business days. I waited repeatedly, only to receive the same excuse over and over again. It has now been more than two weeks with no update. Meanwhile, the delays are costing me additional money -- more labor fees and storage fees because my car is sitting on the property while I wait for answers. I have already paid labor to install the faulty engine they sent, and now I am being told I would have to pay for labor again, even though none of this is my fault. The lack of communication, accountability, and urgency has been extremely frustrating and stressful. And I'm hoping for a resolution. At this point, the delays and lack of clarity from AM Auto Parts have caused me serious distress. If they cannot provide the replacement engine -- which I am fully entitled to under their 30-day claim policy -- then I expect a full refund. This experience has been extremely unfair, depressing, frustrating, and deeply disappointing. I truly believe they use the "3-year warranty" as a selling point, but do not honor it properly. This is my second time purchasing an engine overall, but my first time buying from this company -- and I have never gone through anything like this before. I am extremely disappointed and I hope the owner takes these issues seriously, because this kind of treatment will only damage the company's reputation further. The AM in AM Used Auto Parts stands for Angelo Metallo who is the owner. He goes by Brian Johnson and is referred to as the lead salesman, but is actually the owner. If during the purchasing and "testing" (which is done by any number of SALVAGE yards nationwide) the part is found to be faulty the purchasing agent (Angelo's sister) will find another one with any mileage to get the deal done WITHOUT informing the customer. They will avoid ANY issues to drag out the process past the 30 day return period so if there are issues they can say you exceed the 30 day return and charge you for the return and a restocking fee. Some of the sales staff will NOT tell the customer the receipt IS the warranty and not mention what is required on installation to keep it valid AND (my favorite) not tell the customer they have to go online to a website to register to ACTIVATE the warranty. I do not know HOW this place is still doing business and the State of Florida or FBI has not raided this place. read more

Since you hung up on us this morning I am compelled to write this note: I am a very unhappy consumer. This is on the verge of ridiculous, treating us this way, not only am I unhappy but I was trying to help a 16-year-old boy with his engine problems, and he was going to pay me back with his summer job wages. To say the very least you have destroyed his confidence in his fellow man. Because of this, he has no car and no way to get to work. In addition, you deliberately delayed this process so you wouldn't have to pay the return fees. After contacting a lawyer, I am advised to start proceedings for a civil suit to solve this issue, including the additional shipping fees to get the engine to the garage, labor so far for the repairman, and storage fees for the car taking up room and sitting in his shop. Do NOT buy from here. This is coming from 2 very reputable garages that have both dealt with this transmission nightmare. Our customer needed a transmission for her truck. We gave her a price of a rebuilt transmission and used one. She found this place and after buying the warranty with it she THOUGHT she was saving $300. Little did she know that this was the beginning of her nightmare. After the transmission arrived at our shop we inspected it. The fluid had mostly turned to thick sparkly putty. And I mean thick and sparkly. We told the customer that it was junk and ask them to send another one. Videos and pictures were sent as well. This company responded with... the transmission is fine and was tested before they shipped it. BULLSHIT. They told her it had to be installed regardless of the thick slime and metal and we just needed to conduct a transmission service and clean it out in order for the warranty to be valid. We did as the customer asked. Installed the transmission, flushed it 3 times, programmed it and guess what.. NOTHING. This transmission had no gears left in it, no forward, no reverse, nothing. Gave the customer the bad news, sent her the videos and pictures and rolled her truck back to the pending lot. This company gave us a list of things we needed to validate this warranty amd everytime they came back with a new list. They are hell bent on not giving refunds AND they wanted to charge a $1000 restocking fee (like wtf are you restocking here - are you gona sell this junk to someone else now and scam them out of thousands) and told her she had to pay to ship it back. In the end, she got her original transmission rebuilt because the transmission shop refused to even use this piece of junk they sent. Do your due diligence and research. Stay away from this corrupt company. They claim to sell engines that have 65k or less miles and that all engines get tested. However, when I bought an engine from them and installed it, it had a bad cylinder #2 that was leaking antifreeze into the Pistons due to a bad headgasket. When I asked for proof of milage and proof of the drop test, they said they don't provide those documents because they don't perform the tests! So I than asked how can they advertise such claims (65k or less miles) if they have no way to prove it! For all I know they pribably sold me an ngine with over 100k miles in it which never got drop tested! They cost me 1000s of dollars due to this damaged engine and they were not willing to refund or send me a replacement engine. Now im stuck with this 3000$ paperweight. Our business purchased and engine from this company, they seemed legit when I spoke with them on the phone and the 3 year warranty sounded great. We placed the order on 11/21. I called middle of the week the following week and was told it was being pulled and inspected and would receive a shipping update. The following week came and there was still no shipping update, I called again and was once again told the engine was being inspected. At this point our customer became impatient and frustrated, rightfully so. They ended up canceling their order and going to another shop, causing us to lose out on money. Absolutely terrible to work with! They told me that I would have my part within a week. It took nearly a month for me to receive my part. Then they tell you that they give you a warranty, which was also very deceitful. We purchased an engine and when the mechanic installed the engine, he determined that the timing chain was bad. I called them to report this, and they said that is not covered under the warranty. Not only did I buy an engine that was not functioning or operational now I have to pay an additional thousand dollars to have someone change the timing chain and they had no remorse . The intake was completely full of salt and sand, the oil pan was rusted through, and almost every bolt had the heads rusted away so they couldn't be removed. And this was supposed to have an A rating as rated by the Used auto parts association? Every time I called i was put on hold endlessly and if I left a message nobody ever returned my call. I finally got a response when I emailed. They wanted me to have everything fixed and then install the engine and have a diagnostic done on the engine and then send them the bill for review. My mechanic refused to install it because of the condition and I wouldn't of let him anyway just because of the salt and sand in the intake. It took weeks of emails to get them to let me return it, at my expense of $500 shipping. Why I had to pay to return what should of never been sent to me is ridiculous. Then after I sent them a delivery confirmation it still took three weeks to find out where my return was. Not a single response to any message I left them. After three weeks a person answered the phone and told me that my credit card company had ruled in my favor and that was all he had to say. Not once did any person I dealt with at this company act in any kind of professional manor. They are quick to answer to make a sale, but good luck afterwards. I ordered a used Hyundai Sonata engine. The engine was shipped to my mechanic in MD. When it was installed, it turned out to be a faulty engine (I was told that the engine had 42000 miles on it. The mechanic said that it looked like it had 142000). They wanted me to pay to have the bad engine shipped back to them, and now it is costing me another installation fee to install a different engine ($2200). Stay away from these crooks! read more

These people are con artists and thieves. They shipped the wrong part and are now refusing to pick it up unless I spend $350 bucks to ship it back because according to them it voids the warranty. Keep in mind they shipped the wrong transmission then blamed me for the wrong transmission then shipped out the right transmission after I asked for a refund. Now they've canceled the new transmission but are still refusing to pick up the wrong transmission and telling me that I can either ship it back or I can keep the transmission that I can't use. Am autoparts sent me a defective engine. The warranty covers paid returns only if you install the engine which makes the warranty pretty much useless. The engine is sent from a location with cheap shipping (in my case Minneapolis) but they request that you pay the return to Florida where the shipping cost is as much as the engine or more. These people are CROOKS!!!! DANIEL CANCELADO sold my Company a Faulty Toyota Tundra 4.7 L Automatic engine. It was full of RUST; Salt and visually looked like it had been sitting in water. He misrepresented the engine to be a quality product with minimal miles and a 3-year warranty. My mechanic immediately recognized it was junk and instructed me to send it back. My Business Manager notified these people and emailed them pictures. He was told that they would evaluate the engine and refund our money. They sent the refund weeks later LESS a 25% RESTOCKING fee AND FREIGHT REIMBURSEMENTS. I contested the restocking fee because the return is no fault of our own. Daniel told me they did a compression test, and that the engine was good. Which is the same response I see other customers say they gave them. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!! I bought an engine from them because they advertised the engine had less than 67000 miles. It was a lie it was completely worn out it look like it had over 250000 miles on it. They refused to honor the warranty. Don't buy from them they are scam artist. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place, you're better off finding parts from you local auto parts warehouse. Was sold a transmission that didn't work. They claim the it was tested before it shipped, YEAH RIGHT!! Now I'm heading to BBB to write a review there, wish I'd read reviews before doing business with this company. read more
