I had a tight timeline for a move and needed help with purging and packing. The company is great at engaging and scheduling services. We had a consultation where we discussed what we needed and what areas were the focus. The company recommended getting boxes from Boxes4U, which we did. I had also gotten a number of boxes from uHaul. I also had a specific systems of dots and labels for boxes. Hindsight it think it would have been better to purge and sort spaces the first day and focus on packing the second day. The end result was not as much packed as I would have hoped in the areas of focus. Additionally I had to return the unused boxes to Boxes4U where they charge a 25% restocking fee. UHaul doesn't. If you engage them, provide a lot of oversight to be sure the organizers focus on what you've agreed. read more

Get Organized, saved my sanity!! I am newly wed and we bought our first house. The combining of our things left us both overwhelmed and out of ideas. Also, as newlyweds I did not want to be the one telling my husband how things were going to be and vice versa. I really wanted a neutral, third party to help us design and execute a plan to be able to manage our household effectively and save of us from any unnecessary arguing that still wouldn't solve the problem. Jane came to the rescue!! She sat with us and we both shared how we wanted the house/space to function and what we would like to see. We then made a plan to attack the house in phases, based on use and priority. After our sit down, Jane wrote up a plano for each of the areas we discussed. She suggested a layout and certain products and containers that would be useful. All of which were perfect and reasonably priced. I ordered most from the links she provided. Some had arrived by the time Jane was scheduled to get started. The first space was the kitchen. Her and Pat came in, exactly on time, and started rocking and rolling. They cleaned everything and asked questions along the way and even gave my husband a "tour" when it was complete. I slept better that night!! The ladies took a break for lunch but every other minute was spent focused on the project. Paying was also a breeze. An invoice was sent prior so there are no surprises and everyone is on the same page. At the end of the day, Jane had a square attachment to run a card. There is also a place for a tip. The pressure of a brand new house in a brand new marriage was mounting. This is not a cheap service. So I did not take it lightly. I highly suggest just doing it and doing it early and keep your vision alive throughout. Both Jane and Pat have such sweet spirits and their presence is so calming. I explained that I had, for the most part, already purged, and that I needed someone primarily to organize what was left. When the organizer came out, she was only interested in the 3-box system (Keep, Donate, Trash). I don't know if she didn't listen to what I wanted, didn't care what I wanted, or if the company didn't listen and sent the wrong person out. IDK. All I know was that she didn't provide the service I needed. Ahhh...this has been such a gratifying experience that I want to share all the details! Every part of the process was enjoyable. Organizers, Benita and Jennifer always arrived promptly and eager to get started. They also either did the shopping for me, or prepared a shopping list for me. That was such a huge relief! Benita made the purging process very easy; there was no pressure to get rid of a certain number of items. She laid similar items out by color, so I could easily spot & purge duplicate items. Jennifer recommenced both functional additions like a basket for my purse contents, and accent pieces like jewelry trays to make my accessories pop! We decided to make a small structural change to my closet but I didn't fret, Get Organized recommended a reputable handyman to do the work. Get Organized did a fantastic job on helping us to prepare for listing our house for sale. We have raised three now grown children in this house and with that comes lots of stuff over the years. Although the employees are very professional and hard working, the overall experience has been unpleasant. The amount quoted only covered half of the amount charged. The time required is MUCH more than you will be told. They expect to be paid on site, with no invoice, or, itemized list of goods and services. Also, be wary if you let them have your credit card information. Once, the costs were disputed and I had asked to be invoiced prior to paying the remaining amounts. Soon after, the disputed one of the amounts disputed was taken from my account without authorization. Again, the work and employees are top notch, but, their office is very deceptive. read more
