I will recommend AM PM Locksmith to anyone in need of their kind of service! An unfortunate turn of events this weekend resulted in my wallet and keys accidentally getting ran over, smashing my key fob to pieces and damaging the chip inside my one and only key to my truck. This left me with a key that went into the ignition and turned, but wouldn't engage the engine due to the factory security feature. After calling around and getting astronomical price quotes, my best friend gave me their number to call for a replacement estimate, and I couldn't be more thankful. Within an hour of calling, I had a new key AND fob for my truck, and at a lower cost than half a dozen other places I called before them, who wanted the same price for JUST THE KEY! My 16 year old son has his behind the wheel driving test scheduled for tomorrow, and I was in desperate need to get the problem fixed so he had a vehicle to drive. I was literally in tears when I called for help, and when he handed me the completed key...lol! Excellent service! We live in Oakland and left our car at our friends' home in San Ramon. We were going on a weekend trip with them and they drove their car. When we got back to their house, we couldn't find our car keys. Our friend drove us home to Oakland, and at home we didn't have the spare car key either (that's never happened to us!); so Monday morning I found AMPM online, read the good reviews and called them. First time I called, had to leave a message; I called back about an hour and a half later and Chabid listened to my predicament, asked for our VIN number, went to our friends' home in San Ramon and had the new car keys programmed and working the next morning! He was professional and courteous and a pleasure to do business with. By the way, before I called AMPM, I called our Toyota dealership; the price they quoted was higher than what Chabid charged and the Toyota dealer claimed that a mobile locksmith would for sure be more costly -- not true!! The lock in my front door literally fell out when I pulled my key one night. Although the deadbolt still worked, I felt uncomfortable waiting until the morning to get it replaced. I called Chida at AmPm Locksmith and he was out within 20 minutes (it was 7 p.m.). When he arrived he immediately handed me his business card and pointed out his truck in the parking lot (so that I knew he was legitimate and to ease my fears). Horrible. do not use this service. I called and ordered a brand new lock change and was quoted $140.The guy who came showed up late and then said he did not want to change the lock and he would rekey. I told him I was quoted on changing the lock not rekey. The lock smith said rekey is cheaper. Then I find out they charged me for changing the locks not rekey. The owner /person who answers the line 925 339 999 insulted me, screamed at me and harassed me when i tried to discuss. Then the keys do not even work . Great customer service with friendly attitude towards his clients. Work is always done in a timely fashion with the highest quality. Recently my front door lock was broken and I fully expected to need to replace the whole door system. I drove to their office on Crow Canyon Rd to have another key/FOB made for my Ford Fusion. They cut a new key very quickly...and then reprogrammed the car's computer to accept the new key. The whole process was completed in about 20 minutes. I was very impressed with their speed and efficiency, and the price was significantly lower than the Ford dealership. This was such a horrible experience. The owner is very dishonest and manipulative. They quote one price and then the locksmith Bill charges you a different price. Bill did a terrible job and I had to call another locksmith. They overcharge and very rude and evil. Stay away from this place. read more
