I have done air duct cleaning with them just recently and the service was good, I took the premium package that included dryer vent. Initially the service person forgot to do the dryer vent but later after calling the service office they sent a person to clean it at later time. The owner has been very nice on the phone and personally apologized for the inconvenience and helped resolved the service issues! I would recommend the service but make sure to call and ask for services included in the package, The dryer vent cleaning is only included in some packages if it's on the 1st floor. This place is bait and switch scam. They say it will be 279 and it will end up charging 600 due to hidden fees that they don't tell you about. I would not use them again due to lack of transparency. I wish I would have looked at Yelp instead of just google since many people were put in the same situation as me. I cannot believe a business with such little integrity is still in business. Hired this company to get my ducts cleaned I booked on line and a card number was taken to hold my appointment. Technicians came out hooked up their equipment and asked if I had a coupon which I did from the mailer sent out after putting that in he pulled up the invoice on his I pad and let me know how much more it would be by having it brushed out because that was needed even though he said he could tell they were cleaned out not that long before he could tell because that didn't look that bad. I did add on the brushing but not the return ducts as that was another additional fee. He gave me the total that was due and I gave him the exact cash and said receipt would be emailed to me. Later that evening I noticed my card was initially ran for $50 which was not applied to my total . I contacted the owner who was professional but refused any refund as the technician claimed that I had not paid the full total that I had only paid the remaining balance of the invoice which I was never even shown an invoice just the given the total due and told receipt would be emailed. read more

What a scam! They quote you a low amount, then show photos to show "mold". Only a certified mold inspector can determine whether a house has mold. Then they upsell you so your duct cleaning has gone from $199 to $499. My husband fell for it. When I came home, the horrible chemical they sprayed burned my eyes and throat so badly, I had to evacuate the house and stay at a hotel. They didn't say anything about what this chemical could do to my husband. They have 2 long pages of disclaimers on their contract that I'm sure nobody reads so they have no liability and you have no recourse on the chemicals or anything else. The duct cleaning guy became very rude when I phoned their office office while he was cleaning to see if I could get a coupon applied to my service I was a bit afraid so I waited until he left and called their office back to speak with a supervisor He was very understanding and said he'll compensate me for my bad experience and he'll call me back after he speak to the cleaner I never received a call back and they ran my check through my bank the same day!!! We moved into this new house nearly 2 months ago. We have been sick and our allergies have been ridiculous. At first we thought we just needed a basic cleaning, but turns out it was way worse than we thought. Dennis came to our house (with a 30 minute notice as promised) and explained everything he was going to do. As he went to get started he saw that things were much worse and needed more attention than expected. I've worked in auto shops so I know a bad technician will just tell you things and upsell you while a great one will show you and walk you through your options and the reasoning. I didn't feel pressured to get anything done and I never felt that he was being condescending (again a thing some technicians will do). I realized that it was the best thing for my family and he went to work right away. Dennis also found a big dead chipmunk in our vents.... Went through them for an air duct cleaning. The tech (Cody) was able to get out here same day, and he was friendly, professional, and did a great job. Edit: After he left, I went downstairs to our family room that we've just finished with new carpet and fresh paint (in our finished basement) and there was a mess left behind. There was an 8 foot by 3 foot area of debris by the access point he'd went into and then as I was cleaning I noticed another area by the vent (in the ceiling). I spent a good 40 minutes having to clean up all the debris-- it was everywhere. (Behind furniture, under furniture), it was like the debris had gotten blown into the room. I'd love for everyone to hear the call of my quote and appointment because neither happened. I'd love you to hear how they tried to send the same guy back to my house that didn't do the job right the first time. Both companies are fraudulent. I called Air Duct Cleaning of Taylor and left a message requesting a camera inspection and quote. Nobody called me to schedule an appointment or quote me. Instead, some "technician" just showed up. When I asked to see the camera, he instead said he was hooking up to my central line. Guess what, he actually taped the vacuum to a wall! My house doesn't have a furnace or a traditional central line but rather than admit he wasn't sure, he just lied. They charged me $500 for nothing and when I got up on the ladder to look, he made up some excuses. I filed a fraud claim with my credit card company. I tried offering to pay just a "show up" fee but the company is owned and run by guys who don't listen when you talk or care to make things right. Cleaners showed up with the main guy looking very hungover with blood shot eyes and an energy drink in his hand. He did his best to make excuses why they couldn't clean my system. The boss they called on the phone wouldn't allow it. They taped a vacuum to a vent on my ceiling. It left marks after removing it and they didn't put the cover back on straight. They never touched the furnace or dryer vent. I didn't say anything because to be honest I just wanted them to leave. Scammers. I called a different company, Jones air duct cleaning, today, because as a result of the federally declared disaster in the Detroit area my basement experience flooding and I wanted a mold treatment in my air ducts. I did my research and Jones had great reviews. They were very nice on the phone and got me an appointment same day for an estimate. A gentleman showed up and proceeded to do the work even though I had only asked for an estimate. I have had a very hard time finding any contractors that are not booked solid for the next two months, and mold is not something you can put off, so I let him do the treatment. It was only after he was done that I discovered he does not even work for Jones. He works for a different company called AM Pure, which has terrible reviews. And all he did was vacuum a few vent covers and spray some unknown chemical down there. It was not a thorough deep clean and it was some thing I could've done myself. I feel like this was a complete bait and switch and I'm very upset with both companies. I have reported them both to the Attorney General of Michigan and the Better Business Bureau. The duct cleaning service is a joke. 3 hours for $1600...the guy used a cheap hand drill agitator and an air pump hooked up to the ductwork. Use another service. Avoid at all costs. I scheduled a cleaning with them, mainly to get my dryer vent cleaned. I found them vía a coupon offering "unlimited vent cleaning" and other things for $89. The "technician" came to our house and immediately tried to upsell us on a bunch of stuff, and told us that in order to have our dryer vents cleaned we'd have to upgrade to a $180 service. We did so (stupid us) and the "technician" just went outside and jammed a brush down the dryer vent from outside the house, removing almost nothing (duh). A couple days later, I cleaned it myself, removing AN ENTIRE TRASHBAG of lint, which was clearly a fire hazard. Oh also, the guy didn't even put our furnace cover or vent covers on before he left. What a joke. Definitely feel like I got played for a sucker, but maybe this review will save someone else a few hundred bucks. I talked to the owner on the phone, and after talking down to me the whole call, I had to explain what the word "clean" means over and over. Bait and switch. I was expecting all the ducts (including vents) to be cleaned for the valpac price of $89. In the end, cleaning the ducts and VENTS made the bill ~$762. It included a hazardous waste disposal fee. Dennis arrived on time. The technician should have come into the house after putting on booties and that did not happen. He tried to walk into my family room, which is carpeted and I stopped him. The overall duct cleaning machine made dust tracks into the house. The tech did not clean this before he left. He said he was going to drill holes in the main line, but he would patch them and I would not be able to notice. He did not clean the dryer vent because he said that would be an additional $10 charge. When I went to the basement to check, it looked like he used duct tape and 4 screws on each of the lines. The ducts and vents are cleaned, which is the desired goal, but I would never recommend this company to anyone. The BBB should shut them down. read more
