    Fun book selection!!
    Shiloh R.

Passing through Yakima looking for a good cup of coffee and bite to eat for breakfast. This place does not disappoint . We had a great time browsing through their well curated book selection. We found some great books for the road. The coffee was great. The service was sweet. The breakfast burritos were very good (thank you for the vegan chorizo!) and the hot sauce was amazing. Please support local small business. Families depend on you for their livelihood. Only suggestion would be to have some wholesome chai or turmeric latte (something without caffeine) .

A warm apple danish and a cold brew with cold foam here.

Espresso coffee is really bad. I ordered two shots with a tiny amount of milk, and it looked like brewed coffee.

I paid eleven dollars for a turkey sandwich that had one tiny thin slice of turkey on it. I honestly could not even taste the turkey.

(For the record: half-Mexican here, so I can relate,) There were tamales in their food counter that I didn't see on the menu (undocumented?) ...

It's got a great location just off the main street in downtown, and was quite a lovely little space. Very much designed for people to come in, spread out and converse, it was a very warm and inviting sort of spot. The coffee offerings have a definite, Mexican flare to them, and were very nice. They had standard offerings and then a number of specials on a sort of fresh sheet. They had plenty of coffee and Mexican culturally centric items for sale as well as some clothing. Nice stuff to look through and most would find something they enjoy! The pictures in the wall were as expected, until I saw a print that read "Excess in Moderation". I found out it's by an artist named Ravi Zupa and now it may be my favorite picture! Back to the coffee - The ladies working here were very friendly and everything came out quick. All in all, a really cool spot with a great local vibe and pizzazz running throughout! You should check it out.

I got the typical single black milk tea that I get at most shops that are new to me. Black Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, Less Ice w/ Boba ($6.75) - The black tea here is actually quite good, with a good earthiness almost like a quarter going to puerh. The place recommends half sweet for this drink and I agree that it's very appropriate. The creamer is balanced well in the drink and is not overpowering. The boba has pretty good chew and have a somewhat sticky exterior from the sugar soak. They are kind of oblong in shape and not completely spherical. The pearls are a bit inconsistent in both size and exterior texture. Some are quite smooth on the outside, but others have mini crags running along the surface. In addition, they aren't the most uniform in size, with smaller pieces that seem to have split off. Milk Tea Rating: 4/5 Boba Rating: 4/5 & Tea is pretty good. I would visit again the next time I'm in Yakima Bathrooms - One unisex room that requires a code to enter.

The service was also perfectly okay--nothing spectacular, but fast enough and polite. Unfortunately, the drinks themselves left a lot to be desired. I ordered the brown sugar milk tea, and it tasted incredibly diluted. There was barely any actual tea flavor coming through. To make matters worse, the boba texture was pretty disappointing. It tasted like it had been sitting out for way too long. Instead of being completely soft and chewy, quite a few of the boba pearls had a distinctly hard interior. It's a lovely space to hang out, but they really need to step up their drink quality and boba freshness.
