Jerzy's initial charm masks significant issues with project management. We were frequently met with assurances that work would be finished "tomorrow" - commitments rarely kept, and a job culminating in shoddy finishing and a general lack of attention to detail, and an interminably incomplete punchlist. More concerning was the breakdown in professional standards. CCSC did work without approval, by either the architect or the client, including the installation of expensive equipment we explicitly didn't want - followed by an aggressive and unprofessional attitude and refusal to remove it, when we objected. By the end of the project, we didn't even want the myriad remaining issues fixed; we simply wanted the team out of our house. Their presence, coupled with the constant broken promises, were a tax on our peace of mind. If you value clear communication, adherence to a schedule, and a contractor who respects your vision, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

He built out a full basement for us which included bedroom, bathroom, laundry room, utility room, closets and even a real cedar closet with actual cedar planks including the ceiling. He has replaced every window in the house with Andersen windows and even added French doors, sliding doors and a box window. He changed every door in the house to solid six panel doors and assisted in the family room and office built in by installing them. He build the most incredible custom walk in closet converting a bedroom into a spectacular use of space. He has renovated 3 bathrooms and kept them updated as needed most recently replacing a honed marble threshold in the shower and reinstalling the custom glass doors. The most recent improvement was the replacement of our gas water heaters since the old ones were starting to leak. He not only upgraded what we had, had the new ones delivered and installed all in one day in order to get us back up and running with little inconvenience. He has installed whole house water filtration, added instant hot and a garbage disposal making sure we have all the modern conveniences a home should have. He treats our home as if it is his own. The team worked seamlessly with the architect and the inspectors to make sure the permits were all in place. Tony was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. He was patient in answering my numerous questions and concerns along the way. Gus (the main carpenter) was incredible in installing custom built in shelves in various areas. He is a true artist!! They…read morepainted our 5th Avenue apartment for less than $5,000; another quote we received was for over $26,000 for the same job. Bill, Jesse and Aaron completed the job in one week as predicted. The job included painting architectural ceiling mouldings, baseboards and all the doors and trim. Their work is excellent and precise, particularly cutting between the mouldings and the walls - they gifted in this area. Without asking, they painted some walls with four coats, dictated by the lighting, quality of the coverage. They were perfectionistic which I appreciated. Our Interior Designer who is very picky was highly impressed and said they did an outstanding job. Also, each day they cleaned up, vacuumed (yes, vacuumed) and put all the furniture back in place. It reminded me of the Harry Potter movie when Harry took his wand and magically put back together the rampaged room. Also, Pollmann Suran bought all the paint and arrived on time everyday at 9:00 AM. They left on time each afternoon (4:30 PM) so I could move-on with my evening plans. They even helped me re-hang my pictures. Apparently they do a lot of art gallery work and have an eye for hanging pictures. Nice! In addition to the painting and professional skills, they are super nice guys who are artists, really. I wrote a review about 3 weeks ago (pls see below) and as I was very happy with that experience, I contacted Precision again for another job. This time, I had to have a portion of my bathroom patched, covered and then painted. I also had a related request to remove a shelf from the bathroom. As with my first experience with Precision, this job was just as good! Again, the coordination within the Precision team was excellent and clearly evident in all aspects of the job, from initial inquiry and questions all the way to the final communication post completion of the job. My key contacts were Jason and Trish. My request was not a standard apartment painting but involved some work on fixing a portion of my bathroom wall, removing a shelf, and then painting and cleaning up the job. Precision was able to accommodate my request for this job so quickly that even I was caught by surprise (positive) as they were able to schedule me in a couple of days. The staff who did the job were Freddy and Steven. As I requested with Jason, I asked for a call about an hour before the staff's arrival at my apt as it's currently unoccupied. I got a call from Javier exactly an hour before the promised start time and Freddy and Steve arrived right on time! Freddy was already aware of the "special" request I had with the bathroom shelf and after a quick run-down, work started and was done in a couple of hours. Freddy and Steve knew exactly what they were doing (notable since this was not a standard job) and everything was completed in a couple of hours! I will definitely be working with Precision again and I highly recommend the company as it's very comforting to work with a highly professional organization that does excellent work! On my first call to Precision, they were able to give me a rough price estimate and date availability. This was a pleasant surprise as I needed the job done soon and, it's always hard to confirm an appointment without having an idea of price. (Of course, the final price quote had to be confirmed upon providing further details via email but this was done very quickly as well) My primary contacts at Precision were Jason and Trish. Both were very professional, efficient and friendly in their communication. And, they were able to accommodate my request on a few days' notice. We kept in regular contact throughout the process and calls and emails were returned promptly. The overall quality of the work was great. I met Javier (Project Manager) at my property just before work started to go over any relevant issues. The team were there on time and ready to start working immediately. Javier was also very professional and put me at ease to the point that I only checked on the quality of the job after the painting team was done and already left the property. One important thing to keep in mind for those not familiar with big jobs (i.e. painting, flooring, plumbing, etc.) for most New York city buildings is the insurance coverage of the contractors. Some companies will not have this ready or have sufficient coverage to complete jobs in some buildings. Precision Painting was on top of all required paperwork and approvals for this aspect of the job.
