I witnessed a potential sexual assault on a student by one of their photographers. I was a substitute teacher on photo day in Georgetown. Their sales staff is incompetent and abusive. They are destroying themselves! They've lost many accounts and last year 9 key staff members quit! This year was no different. Avoid this company. My child has had bad dealings with them, they refused to fix his photos.

Both photographers attested that they had not traveled out of the Northeast and began pictures. It was later realized that they had 1) lied on their attestation form to enter the building 2) not quarantined upon entering Massachusetts 3) not had negative - or any - COVID testing results. The photographers, their company, and any staff involved in this planning should be ashamed of themselves for their egregious misrepresentation, dishonesty, and disregard for the safety of children, teachers and staff. Catherine is amazing with kids, my kids are 2 & 5 so we've had pictures done several time with other photographers now, with not the best results, and she had all the tricks to get them to cooperate! She sent over our online gallery in the time frame promised and since the pictures were all so amazing it was tough to pick just a few so she gave a great deal on the whole digital album. It is not quite as often that we take the time to pour on the compliments or give the highest possible ratings to the people who deserve it the most. My daughter, Lila, recently had the opportunity to be photographed by an amazing and talented photographer named Ian Cowpar (of Saxon Cross photography). Aside from the fact that he has photographed both of my girls before and we have become friends, I feel that if I do not proclaim from the mountain tops that he is EXCEPTIONAL at his craft; I would be doing others a great disservice. I will start with the obvious. Not many people enjoy being photographed. Yes, some do not mind, but generally speaking, most of us are not ready to hop in front of the lens without a bit of anxiety. Ian has a way of working with his subjects that is so disarming and light. He is inviting in nature and actually encourages the subject to actively participate in the shots, looking at some of them as the shoot takes place. It is so obvious that he wants his clients to be completely relaxed and trust him and one would have a difficult time being nervous or anxious due to the way he communicates. He is funny and light yet serious about his craft and precise in his techniques. It was amazing how he captured so many perfect shots without many retakes if any. That is talent. Anyone can press a button, but Ian is watching the set/scene, the natural lighting, the shadows and everything in between. All of this without being the least bit distracted. It would actually be impossible to "get lucky" with that many superior photos and therefore it is more than just our opinion that he is so good (Nobody is that lucky!) He is super-excited, but not hyper. He is swift,but not rushed and his timing is meticulous. Ian is like a one-man band with his "trunk full of goodies". He momentarily ducked into his car emerging with a bright green "pop-tent" so that Lila could change outfits right there on the beach, privately. When she was able to quickly change-she instantly had a brand new look without missing the beautiful sunset. He has an arsenal of lenses and light defusing equipment close by at all time and he switches back and forth producing multiple versions of shots with different effects using shadows, natural light and flashes. He makes it look way-too-easy! Ian's pricing is affordable and fair and he delivers MUCH MORE than what you pay for. He is dependable, prompt, energetic, funny and cares about his craft immensely. The turn-around time was nuts-we were looking at some of the finished work within hours. The excitement we felt through his emails showing us the finished photos would fool most into thinking that he was talking about photos of his own child. I would HIGHLY recommend that you book a session with this GEM of a guy and photographer. You simply cannot go wrong with Ian and Saxon Cross Photography. I have been fortunate to see the work of dozens of his clients and he ALWAYS comes through on top. Everyone is happy and raving about him and his work. We will all need to hire a photographer at some point in our lives...parties, weddings, baptisms, school/senior photos, and family reunions...but once you experience Ian's talents-believe me, you will find more reasons to book a session with him! Very good quality photos at a fair price. He can also help with videos and 3D Matterport tours. I can't say enough about Saxon Cross. Give him a call and you won't be disappointed. He also does event photography. I've never used him for events, but have seen his work for weddings and other special occasions and his work looks equally as great as the real estate photos he has helped me with.
