We hired Dawn for selling our approx. 2500 sq. foot house. She over estimated the market value of…read morethe house to begin with and then after a few months, when there were no offers on the table, started pushing us to get "repairs". Now getting repairs is a relative term. But she would recommend removing pop corn ceiling, fresh paint coat (we had painted the house and it was freshly done) and many UNNECESSARY repairs that even DID NOT get brought up into final inspection when the house was finally sold. She consistently pressurized us to continue dropping the price without ever mentioning that market is NOT favoring sellers. It seemed like a war zone than a team work. She is NOT experienced to sell larger properties. We have known her for years because of selling our relatively smaller properties. But this was a disaster. For comp. properties, literally once she brought a non-pool home to "compare" our house value with, when mentioned she said there is no other pool home available to compare at the moment. When I brought a non-pool home at a later stage to compare, she said "its a non pool home". In the end, I had completely lost faith and my trust in HER SKILLS. Additional proof that she's inexperienced to sell larger properties, she brought on another agent with her which initially was suppose to stay with Dawn due to some medical reason for a few weeks but then stayed on throughout the whole tenure. In the end, my husband and I just lost it, and started dropping the price way too quickly. We LOST A LOT OF TIME, PEACE OF MIND AND MONEY. Receiving her email would stress me out without having to even look at the emails. Dawn is a very pleasant person, and nice, very well presented and professional but SHE DOES NOT HAVE EXPERIENCE TO SELL LARGER HOUSES. We lost thousands of $$$ because of wrong planning, timing, lack of proper communication and ability to properly negotiate. This realtor's mantra as a seller is to bend backwards to sell your house, keep compromising, and to give up on any seller's benefits you can, and as a buyer, just pay the best you can without good solid discounts. SHE DOES NOT have your best interest in her mind. We had to move to another state so wanted to get rid of the house. We had decided to hire a new realtor but also did not want her to lose her commission so tried to lower a huge amount in just one month and this is how we got it sold. I would not recommend her and intend to let her know that it was a very unpleasant experience to deal with her inexperience.
