I have been going to Amanda's top notch for over 4 years. Over the last year I have noticed a decline in availability as well as the grooming itself has not been the quality that I expect. My dogs ears were missed being trimmed properly. Then she cut my dogs belly. And today she was rude with me about the fact that she told me verbally my appointment was today and then when I got there she told me it was next week. First off, immunization and review records weren't asked for which i've always provided at other places. Second, my older dog has always gotten great reviews with his previous groomer. I've never had to leave him longer than an hour and a half . After 4 hours I had to call asking about when he would be done. After another hour i went to pick him up. They said he urinated on himself and they have to clean him all over again. He has NEVER done that previously and I personally let him go before I took him inside. They had him for 5 hours and didn't think to see if he had to pee? As I'm trying to pay, my poor guy is dragging me toward the door. Couldn't get out of there fast enough. When we got home I noticed he had multiple lesions on his back and stomach. He was so itchy and red, this also had never happened before this. I don't know what they did to my dog but I don't recommend FAFO read more

***ATTENTION DO NOT BRING ANY PETS HERE*** My dad went to get our dog Wellington groomed for HIS FIRST TIME. He was offered $130 and they provided him $100 after it was finished which was odd. Later we noticed that both ears were cut pretty bad. It looks like from the previous reviews that the owner will not own up to their mistakes. Now our dog is in a traumatized state after this horrible experience. Never bring any dog here. I hope this business eventually goes out of business. read more

Tried to call twice to make an appointment but no answer. Decided to go in because it's right around the corner. I wanted to just get my cats nails trimmed and have them give her a bath. I walk in she tells me I have to book an appointment which is fine but they didn't answer the phone to begin with. She tells me the soonest they can do is Tuesday and that the price would be around $100 dollars just for a bath and to have her nails trimmed?! I walked out and I will not be going back. It truly doesn't seem like a bad place but it is overpriced and the customer service is somewhat lacking. read more

Made a call to inquire about an opening to take my dog in for a cut. Every question I had asked ended with a blunt one word answer. Not customer service friendly and provided no info. At the end of the 30 second conversation the lady on the phone ends up telling me they are not accepting new customers. Why did you not say it in a more professional way and from the beginning such as "I am terribly sorry unfortunately we are currently not accepting new customers". So damn simple. If and when they supposedly are accepting new clients, Save yourself and your furbaby, go somewhere else. read more

To make this story short Amanda was unprofessional with the way she runs her business by telling people it's not her problem when the groomers SHE has working at her place are not her responsibility. When were assigned to Toni and had a problem with scheduling she said that's not her problem she doesn't run her schedule, and wouldn't reschedule us with anyone. They did a good job. I am concerned that they do not ask for rabies records, or any pet veterinarian records on the dogs before they groom. Parking is a real problem at this grooming location. My dog seemed like she survived the ordeal. I do think they should speed their grooming time up, though. In Newman there is a great grooming company that is going out of business. They require current pet veterinarian records on all dogs and they also groom your dog IN UNDER ONE HOUR! Things to strive for! read more

My pups were groomed at Amanda's for over a year. Everything was smooth up until she got a new groomer. The last 2 times my pups were not groomed as Amanda had groomed them they look as if we cut them at home. Anyway we had both pups groomed last week and my Mom noticed our girl pup was cut on her hind leg. I contacted Amanda to tell her. She didn't take any responsibility nor apologize what she said was" would you like the groomer to call you" you were the groomer. Up until Saturday, I had no idea somebody else was grooming my pups. The woman Toni was the bather as far as that goes. To make a long story short, we went around in circles with her asking me if she could refer me elsewhere? Have Toni call me? For what it's YOUR shop YOU are responsible. I told her NO to both but my point is if you intrust your pups to someone that someone is responsible. (Amanda) don't do a "bate and switch" She never told me Toni was grooming them. The grooming was terrible and I will never return. Be careful in going there if you have little pups because if she isn't the groomer than I don't know what your pups will look like. I would rather take them to the Bay Area then around the corner which she is!. I Was a satisfied customer now, we won't return. Would rather pay more than than to have my pups leg cut and a terrible grooming job on top of it! read more

So I came back because I was very desperate and called everyone in the Patterson area to help me groom my grandmothers dog and everyone was booked!!! So I asked Amanda's if they had time just to help me groom my grandmothers dog who had a dirty poopy butt last min and her hair was so bad too. I pleaded to her I was desperate and I will give her another try. She told me that woman who hurt my grandmothers dog before is no longer working there and she could help me out! I was very grateful for this last min appointment; since I don't live in Patterson and only had one day to help my grandma out. And she told me that she will do her best and she would be careful with her face but she did tell me accidents happen. Which is understandable but I do feel a lot happier knowing that girl that poked her eye is no longer working there. I picked my grandmothers dog I was so shocked she looked like another breed I about died laughing because she look so different and beautiful! So I think they deserves all their stars now! I asked her two cut 1-1.5 inch off my Goldendoodles hair, which took me 5 months to get him to his length and looking amazing. He came out with 4-5 inches cut off and 1 inch left...he looks terrible. Secondly, she had quoted me $55 over the phone and explained all the things she was going to go over, I liked what she said. At the counter I was asked to pay $85...? She said it was a misunderstanding, but no it wasn't, I clearly asked multiple times and even told her that it wasn't my fault she quoted the wrong price originally otherwise I would've never came, she wouldn't budge. BEWARE: I have been taking my dogs here for a while now. This last time I left my dogs there I noticed there was a new girl working I guess her name is Amanda as well. I tipped them $20 dollars thinking everything was ok. And when I got home Khloe started crying and acting funny. When I called Amanda she recommended I drive Khloe over so she can see. I drove over. Her words were. " If you take her to the vet there not going to do anything but put ointment on it." Since Khloe screamed when she urinated I figured they cut her on or near her vaginal area. When I had Amanda hold her so I could look myself I was shocked on how many razor burns she had and how red/raw her private area looked. So I asked her to write a letter stating she would pay for the vet bill cause there was no way I was going to let my dog suffer like this. Sure enough they did more then just ointment!! The doctor was also shocked what Amanda was saying. It will be a week tomorrow and my dog is still taking strong pain medication. Today I did take her the vet bill and she said to me I'm not the one paying the vet bill the girl who groomed Khloe is. I asked for a refund for just the one dog groom and she refused. She tried blaming me saying she wasn't groomed for 8 months so she was matted and that's why she has razor burns and a cut on her vaginal area. I groomed my dogs In between myself. Very Unprofessional!!! Never once asked how my dog was doing. I'll never step foot in that place again. ... Message to Owner: this is not how you run a successful business!!! read more

Called as a new customer to get my dog's nails trimmed. They explained I didn't need an appointment and could drop in when I had time, also gave me hours and suggested to call in the afternoon, as they may close early if pets are done. I took my 8 1/2 month pup over on my lunch break. They came out to the lobby and worked on our nail trim. My dog got very squirrely and a bit irritated but with staff help they were able to get her nails trimmed. I think I was more nervous than they were as my dog was not very cooperative. They worked quick and as a great team, I will definitely head back over next time we need a nail trim. All that trouble and only $10, well worth it! I have taken my pooch here about 3 times the past year and have been dissapointed each time. I will no longer take her there. What seals a great grooming to me and to most pet owners I know is the brush out and elimination of the shedding problem for awhile after a grooming. I have had to brush out my dog for approximately 15-20 minutes after picking her up from Amandas each time and brushed out so much hair that it filled a grocery bag 1/2 way! They must have just went over her maybe once with no real concern to what a customer expects or is paying for. We do bathe our dog ourselves and will do that from now on as we are so far from another groomer it is not worth it. read more

I've only been here twice and both times I've been satisfied with my dog. Unfortunately I can't give them 5 stars because the first time I brought my dog here he had small cuts where they trimmed his tear stains. I was pretty upset about that but he healed fast. However the second time they did an amazing job and he didn't have those tiny cuts. read more

They always look amazing afterward and the staff are always willing to work around our schedules letting us drop off early if we need to. I will never go back there again,I took my dogs to get their nails cut,I have before always has been 20 for both dogs,she tried to charge me extra for sanding nails I said no frgt it u never have before she insisted it's always been that way,not true I have taken them there before and never been charged extra,even by her the owner,the issue here is that she took my other dog to the back and I could not see him he let out 2 loud screams which he has never done before,I told her to bring me my dog and frgt the service,she hurt him how I don't know, she said she didn't do anything to him,bs,I have a lot of friends who take their pets there they won't as soon as I call them which o am doing right now,get ready to lose business Amanda's pet grooming. I originally posted that I liked this place and the only problem is that they would leave a poof at the end of my dogs tail. I took him back last week and the same thing happened, after making it perfectly clear I wanted it all shaved, and he came back smelling like he wasn't bathed. It upsets me that I paid money to have him groomed only to have to come home and bathe him because he smelled so bad and had so much loose hair (like they didn't wipe him down after shaving) that he was leaving chunks of hair everywhere. I am disappointed and will be looking for a new groomer. read more

I took my Caucasian Shepard into Amandas on Thursday on recommendation from my neighbor. THEY DID AMAZING! i was nervous to leave my dog because lets be honest he is my whole world. well after about 4 hours i got the call that he was done! not wondering what i was going to be walking into i went to pick him up and HOLY COW ive never seen my dog look so good. they took they time to brush out all of his under coat that was too thick to get a brush through. he smells out of this world and is no joke softer then our family cat. For a 240lb dog they blew my expectations out of the water. The next morning i took in our female Great Pyr who had never been groomed and again blew me out of the water. She looks and feels like a whole new dog. Today we took our puppy in to get a good bath and a brush out. I will be making this a monthly routine. Amanda did better then i could have ever imagined. My dogs are too large to bathe in the bathtub and i just cant deal with bathing them outside because they love water and they loveeee to roll around in the dirt... finding a place to take care of them is so hard. My dogs are very temperamental and they had no issues and loved getting groomed. THANK YOU TO AMANDA AND HER OUT OF THE WORLD STAFF!!! We have been taking our dog here for a while and it was okay. BUT the last time we took her, her appointment was at 10:30am and we didn't get our dog till almost 5pm after they said they were going to be done at 2pm and that's still a really long time for an appointment but we let it go. Than we called to check up on our dog because 2pm had passed and we received no call that she was done with her appointment and they said 40 more minutes well 40 minutes turned into 2 hours really quick for them so when we went I asked what was the reason they took so long and "Amanda" the owner herself answer with such a horrible attitude as if I was stupid and told me "that if I didn't know they were dealing with animals their and they don't always act the way their suppose." The owner was basically calling me stupid. I highly don't recommend this horrible grooming places. If the owner treats people like this than I can't even image the way she treat animals. read more
