Lovely little cafe, we stopped in for breakfast to go on the way to Arcadia. They have a selection of homemade pies including sausage rolls, steak and ale hand made pies, and large pies like Irish Cottage pie. They have breakfast selections with English muffins and croissants. Oh and they also have scotch eggs. Worth stopping in.

Thought this place was pretty special. More cafe and lunch and savory take out but extraordinary . Paninis with caramelized onion and portobello or lemon square or hand pastries ( yum!). Good espresso, etc.

I was so amazed by the fresh assortment of tempting bakery choices. The coffee perfect. S itting by the window facing Penobscott Bay Relaxing. Too bad it was early in the season so I could not enjoy the outside seating. I will be back when Spring springs.

My 5th visit to the Hoot was more disappointing than delightful…read more I brought three friends to try the Hoot after sharing my good experiences in the past. We went this Sunday for brunch and were told the wait for food would be 40 minutes despite having a reservation. Looking around the restaurant, there were empty tables, so they were not at capacity. Making the best of the situation we all ordered four cider donuts to take the edge off of the wait. The donuts, usually perfectly done, were overdone. But any warm donut is a good donut, right? What came next was my Medium Rare Hoot burger cooked Well Done. Clearly, there are problems in the kitchen. Our waiter, while nice, wasn't really interested if our food was good or not, and the comments around the table were that the food was fine... I looked at their website to send an email just to let them know our experience before writing a review, but, there was no contact information other than a phone number, and they are only open 3x a week. Looking here, I see many similar reviews. Sad that another favorite is losing its touch.

You walk in and order from the welcoming staff at the counter. We ordered the 2 eggs, toast and bacon & the breakfast sandwich. The 2 egg breakfast was simple and tasty. Maybe should've ordered another side, my husband still felt a little hungry. He wanted to add a 3rd egg, but they can only order another 2, per the original menu. The breakfast sandwich was delightful! Perfect cooked eggs, meat and crispy and there was a delicious aioli or spicy/chipotle spread. Soo good!! I was only able to eat 1/2 of the sandwich. My husband said it was just what he needed since he wasn't able to add the second egg. I also ordered a hot vanilla latte. This was the best coffee I had the whole week we were there. Definitely give this sweet little local restaurant a try when in Camden!

The fresh pastries are a great treat to add on to your meal. The owners have spruced up the interior to make it an open and comfortable place to eat. They even added a charming couch area with kids toys for the little ones. The employees are friendly and always ready to help. I love their merchandise and am happy to represent this new gem of a diner.
