Amano offers a variety of Italian dishes at affordable prices and very well seasoned. I was in the mood for a cheesesteak so that's what I got. The food was very well seasoned with peppers and onions. I also got the fries which were amazing very crisp and very well seasoned too. I am a sucker for homemade ranch and they did not disappoint. Seating is very spacious and they were getting busy when we arrived but the staff seemed to handle it very well. Food was hot and fresh and we had everything we needed. Yeah this was fun for me and the family, we love pizza. So make sure you have a good variety, you can get it to us hot, and we don't have to complain about it being overcooked or poorly put together. I came with a bunch of family too but that didn't stop these guys from putting on a good show. The food got to us timely and fresh. I don't want to say best in town but I had some locals with me and they were very happy with this when we got it fresh and when they reheated it. I'm surprised to have found a tasty pizza joint in Rocky Mount. I don't expect much from Rocky Mount, but come here for great food and great service. I had, not quite a complex order, but what I call an order outside my usual. My party was bigger and picker, so I had to make sure I made pizza decisions big enough to feed everyone, and that all the drinks were correct. Thankfully the lady ringing me up was so understanding as I stood there making sure all adults and kids were accounted for and that all my drinks were ordered correctly. I wanted to switch things up from my usual chicken parmigiana, so I went for the Meatball Parmigiana Sandwich this time. I ordered online and popped into the store for pickup.I was greeted as soon as I walked in and my food was ready to go. The bread was toasted just right, and the meatballs were perfect! Everything here is delicious. Salads are always the freshest, the Philly sandwich is the BEST, and on par with places in NYC and Chicago. Their baked ziti is my favorite item on the menu. My husband and I have ordered almost everything on this menu at least once and have never been disappointed. I just got some chocolate dipped cannolis and oh my word, they were big and worth every last calorie. Super affordable, very yummy and portions are huge. I am a very happy, lifelong, repeat customer!!! We love this place it's a Rocky Mount hidden gem. Couldn't leave a picture because I ate everything before this review. Traveling north and stopped in Rocky Mount for the night. Decided on pizza with a salad and ordered/paid online. When I arrived the service person could not find the order, didn't know what kind of salad was ordered and couldn't tell the order was paid for online. Other than that the service was fine. My family loves Amano pizza. We really enjoy a large pepperoni, sausage and mushroom pizza. My three year old devours her slices every time we order. Cheesesteaks are juicy and fully of flavor. Bread is a perfect crispness. Onion rings were not my favorite. Batter didn't have much flavor. Chicken wings were great the first time we ordered but batter seemed different the second time and weren't cooked enough but otherwise good. All staff are wonderful, helpful, and friendly.
