Very disappointed. Service was so slow that we left 1 1/2 hours after arriving at our reserved time, with no dinner. Despite several tables elsewhere our foursome was seated in the back by the open kitchen. The smoke and noise made the location unsuitable for even mild conversation. My eyes burned the whole 1 1/2 hours from the open cooking smoke. It took over 15 minutes just to get a waiter to take our drink order, and then only after we had to actually grab a waitress to get their attention. Waiter finally came and took our order at the 45 minute point, then delivered bread. 15 minutes later he returned with the beef tallow candles and 2 other spreads. As the noise from the kitchen and other tables rose, we gave up trying to have any discussion, and 2 of my companions decided they would just drink as dinner was no where in sight and the waiter had again disappeared. Finally at the 1 1/2 hour hour point I told my dinner companions I was going to find the waiter, pay for my dinner and drinks, and leave. My wife and I went to the register, helped the waiter identify what we had ordered, and then said we wanted to pay so we could leave. The waiter quickly completed the check, and went to get the manager. We offered to pay the total 1300 CZC, but the manager graciously took 30% off. I am sure the restaurant has a bright future as it is conveniently located, the English language menu looked fantastic, and several hotel concierges recommended it. But I was disappointed that service on a week night (Wednesday, Oct 18, 2023) was so slow, and wait staff avoided our table unless we got up from our chair and approached them. Granted, by the time we left the every table was full, waitstaff had their hands full, but several customers who had arrived after us already had received their food, and several and completed their dinner and left. I will definitely look for another dinner spot on my next trip to Praha. read more
