I had a great speck (prosciutto) and truffle pate panini sandwich here while staying in Sorrento. They have a lot of sandwich options, both meat heavy and vegan, plus salads. The servers are very upbeat. You'd be best to order takeout but they do have some seats outside. Be prepared to be wowed.

The line was long but the food, experience and lovely ladies singing and making the food was worth every bit of the wait. As a non sandwich aficionado I would partake in a sandwich here daily! Enjoy the people watching and the journey.

    Hard working sandwich maker.

We are regulars when it comes to visiting Sorrento. We try to come at least once a year and stay a week. During our visits we visit many new (to us) restaurants, primarily because all the restaurants are pretty good. Today we tried A'Marenna. It is primarily a sandwich shop in a heavily traveled tourist area. When we arrived there was a good line that went just out the door. We got in the line and waited in the cramped little shop. There were only two young women working behind the counter. One did all the orders and deliveries to customers waiting outside. The sandwich maker was one of the hardest workers I have ever seen. Occasionally she would pick up a microphone and start singing an Italian rock song while the Italians in the place joined in. I'd rather she focused on making sandwiches instead of singing, but it was fun and she had such a positive attitude you could only smile and enjoy. Now, to the menu. They serve a variety of sandwiches: some simple, some exotic. Being an Elite reviewer I asked several people who were eating outside what they thought of their sandwich? I got 100% rave reviews. I had the smallest and probably the most conservative: prosciutto and mozzarella on a ciabatta bun. My wife had the save thing but with regular ham. Both sandwiches were great and both had an ample amount of meat. The mozzarella was very mild and chewy. You can't get this stuff in the U.S. We are here for the week and we will definitely go again. Be aware, there is very limited seating. We were staying two blocks away so we just took them to our Airbnb. I'd suggest walking downhill to the park by the elevator to eat. Bottom line, don't miss this little shop.

If you have the opportunity, grabbing a sandwich from A'Marena is a must. The wait is long but the sandwich and singing make it a worthwhile stop. The bread is delicious and all the ingredients are fresh. For me, the prosciutto, fresh mozzarella and black truffle pâté was the winner! My pictures captured the experience.

This restaurant came recommended by Elio our private driver for the Amalfi coast. The restaurant closes at 8pm so we missed it the first night and had to go back the next day and we are so glad we did. We had the Michel #8 panini sandwich and it was delicious. Full of flavor. Delicious in every way and perfect crunch for the sandwich. Shared it with my daughter however I wish I would have had the whole sandwich to myself. Can't wait to go back and try a new sandwich.

Stopped by to get some lunch and there was a line. Once we ordered, they said it would be about 40 minutes to get our food, so we got our ticket and walked around Sorrento for a bit. Once we got back, it still took a little longer than that - probably at least another 15+ minutes. There are only 2 ladies working, so the wait is understandable. Once we got our sandwiches, it was absolutely worth the wait! These were some of the best sandwiches we've ever had. We got the Leonardo and Filumen. The Leonardo had a mortadella and stracciatella combo that was creamy and savory combined with a little heat and bursting with flavors from the onions and pistachio cream. The Filumen was a stronger flavored sandwich - smoky from the smoked cheese and speck and intense flavor from sundried tomatoes and truffle pate. We got the panuozzo size - a flatter panini bread - which was nicely toasted and crispy. Wish we had time to try more of these! Vegetarian and vegan options available, so there's something for everyone.

Best sandwich I've ever had! Better than Pino's in Florence. Highly highly recommend.

Sandwiches were complex, balanced, and extraordinarily tasty! Would recommend ordering online however as it took quite a while for our food. Not the worst place in the world to explore while you wait, though.

Stopped in for a quick bite and was seriously impressed! The sandwiches were fresh, flavorful, and packed with quality ingredients. You can tell they put care into what they serve. Definitely coming back!

The best vegan sandwich in all of Italy. Served on a panini type bread we devoured a "Luisell and Rafel" on a holiday afternoon. The service was outstanding as the owners worked to keep everyone happy in a very small space. Loved our lunch and would stop in Sorrento anytime just for another sandwich here!

This was yum The owners are so so sweet and helpful. The sandwich was good with high quality ingredients. I will say I do think it was a bit pricey considering it is, in the end, a sandwich- I think it's definitely geared toward tourists. Worth checking out- but I would also try to check out less touristy places too

Apparently they don't like Americans (Or they think all Americans are rich and they can rip us off) because we were charged double what my Italian cousin paid, we ordered two small cannolis and a small custard/parfait dessert it came out to €18. I wouldn't even be that upset if the food was good, but it was terrible. After meeting up with him in a little while later, I told him about my experience and he said let me go in and order the same thing and see how much I paid. It was half the amount it came out to nine euros same thing different nationalities and he spoken in Italian to them. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MIND YOUR MONEY HERE. Please spend your money right up the street towards Picasso Tasso there's a small gelato place that offers large pistachios cannolis for four euros I mentioned our experience to them and they knew exactly what we were talking about. I should've known when we walked in and the owner and his wife were arguing and having a fight that we should've walked straight out, but we didn't, but I can pass this information to you and hopefully you will read this review and realize not to waste your money here at Bar Pollio.
