Amaya's has become my groomer of choice. The location isn't the best, it's almost hiding if you're coming from Bellaire and heading to Beechnut. However, they're very close to my neighborhood and open at 8AM, which is very convenient for dropping off my pup before work. The prices are reasonable, and the service is great. My doggo is looking fresh and clean after every cut. They offer other services as well, including boarding, at good prices. They also have pet merchandise you can buy in store. Overall, I love this little shop and I will continue bringing my dog here for his grooming. read more

be careful with the here I put in a full bath and haircut for my dog and they never gave my dog a bath when I come back and ask them they'll say that they'll give a bath if I'm willing to wait 30 minutes I was like no I'm not going to drive back-and-forth just so I can get my dog a bath I paid the full service. They called me to pick up the dog saying it's done but they did not finish the work be . Google maps says it closes at 6:00pm and I was being rushed to pick my pet up at 4:30 pm, my eta was 30 minutes and the worker said she won't wait for me and if I didn't get to location by the time she left she would keep my pet in hotel they have in this location . left my German Shepard dog very neat and the price was worth it and I loved the outcome.

The first time I took my Dulce (Frenchie) they did a great job. Today I just left there and they did a horrible job. they didn't completely clean her ears nails didn't get trimmed. And when I went back in there they took her in the back and I can hear her crying because they were hurting her being really rough trying to rush clean them. And then they said it's because of her breed. Which I know all the facts of what the problems Frenchies have. I clean her ears regularly and know she doesn't do that. I tried to support a local Latino owed business but you lost a customer today. Really disappointed do better please. read more

Highly do not recommend! these people gave my husky a horrible haircut I did not ask for they CUT HER SKIN and shaved her bald . I BEG YOU NOT TO BRING YOUR DOG HERE !!!!! They just did a horrible cut to my dog that left him almost with no hair AFTER I told them not to go short AFTER I told them not to cut hair from testicles . They did the complete opposite and when I spoke with the Owner she said that she wasn't responsible for anything that her co workers have done wrong and that you should reas what you sign before singing !! Which that sounds like a SCAM ! And on top of that she said that if I wanted my money back I would have to go to court . I am very furious and sick to my stomach seeing my dog the way they left him . The grooming package for my cat was reasonably priced, and they did a pretty good job, especially considering his long, very fluffy hair. I'm disappointed in the service, however. When I picked up my cat, I asked if everything went well. They said everything went fine (as expected; he's a calm cat and has never had problems with groomers). On my way home, I noticed blood marks on the padding they put in his kennel. I called them and asked what happened, and I was asked to come back so they could take a look. Suddenly, the "Yeah, everything went well!" Turned into a "well he was scratching when we were cutting his nails, blah blah blah". They should not offer nail trimming for cats if they don't know how to (or if they do know how to but choose to do so carelessly), and they should have at least looked at him before giving him back to me. They claimed to have disinfected the "superficial" cut (the same cut that was leaving bloody paw prints in his kennel) and apologized. The only reason I didn't give a 1 star is because his hair cut was (mostly) consistent, which has been hard for us to do in the past. Regardless, if you're a cat owner, I'd look elsewhere. Cat grooming isn't easy and, if done carelessly, could result in much more serious injuries than a nicked nail. Some honesty and professionalism would go a long way here. read more

THEY KILLED MY MOTHER's DOG!!!. She took him in for grooming at 11am and at 1pm they called to say her dog died. How can this be possible? Her dog was healthy and was just there for a haircut. They refused to show her the camera footage and even offered to pay for the cremation but are refusing to give any other explanation . Not just that but when they called to say the dog was dead they had already transported him to another location in Sugarland. My mother is heartbroken. PLEASE PLEASE DONT TAKE YOUR PETS TO THIS PLACE.!! This place is an absolute nightmare!! read more

So I previously reviewed this place bc they did such a great job (first picture) and I never had an issue until today. They did not give me dog the same cut that he's been given in the past, and left him patchy and with Bald spots. They also said he tried to bite which is wild to me bc they have never complained about it before and I've taken him here multiple times and other places. read more
