They have…read morea new scheme (at least it is new to me) where a tech comes to your home to handle your plumbing, and then they tell you that while they can fix the baseline problem, however there is a bigger problem at hand and ask if you are okay with them call their supervisor to come and check it out. The supervisor comes while the tech completes the job, explains the more significant problem you have, and tells you it will cost you an insane amount of money. Today is the second time it happened. Richard "Rich" was the first tech and told me that it must be the roots causing the backup issue (keep in mind I told him years ago roots were a problem). He said that every time he runs the snake and pulls it out, there is nothing there, no paper. He said he needed to call his supervisor (Jacob Cespedes) to bring the camera so they could see what was causing the problem. Well, Jacob shows up with his ghostbuster equipment, and I can hear him saying that the root is huge blah blah blah, and an excavating team was needed to fix the problem. He told me that if I didn't do that, the consequence was that I would have no working toilet. This liar and his sidekick Rich tried to scare me that if I didn't accept the excavating work estimate, it meant that a bucket would become my new toilet. The price quote was more than 4K. I told Jacob I would think about it. This is precisely the same dishonest scenario that went down a couple of months ago with another dishonest team from the Doral location about a plumbing issue I was having upstairs. Blessedly, I found an honest plumbing company Miami24/7 Plumbing. The tech came out, did his thing on the roof, rang my doorbell after about 20 minutes, and asked me to check the problem areas. I looked at him in disbelief because I thought there was no way this problem could be solved that fast after the BS from Roto-Rooter. I did what he asked, and the toilet was functioning as usual and clog-free. I asked him what was the problem..brace yourself for what he said...PAPER!!!!! The very thing Rich said could not be the problem. The total cost was $380.00. I shared with Rich how stressful the past 24 hours had been because my mother has dementia, and to keep her out of the bathroom that was covered in raw sewage required me to stay up all night watching her so she wouldn't get sick by going into one of the impacted bathrooms. He lied to my face and was prepared to rob and cheat me along with his supervisor, Jacob. I wrote a check to Roto-Rooter for $287. If the owner of this franchise reads this, please don't try to cash it because I have placed a stop payment on it. I better not receive a single phone call about payment if you decide foolishly to cash it and it comes back NSF. I promise you legal action will be taken. You have been warned.

They didn't, even after 30. Said would need to go in walls, floor, extensive evaluation using camera and more diagnostic tools. Told me he was sure our home was never inspected, even though I told him I had documentation, but he said it would not have been accurate. I did tell him some drain lines were in my attic but he didn't go there because he said his equipment could not be used in an attic. He gave me an estimate of over $1,000 that could be several more due to potential damage he would not be responsible for. I called another licensed local plumber who came over, assessed issues, used auger on both commodes and replaced air vent valves in attic. All for $150 and all problems were fixed.

He came over with one of his team members and checked out my home. He gave me some new homeowner tips too which I super appreciate as a new homeowner! Being a remediation company, OTM wasn't able to test for mold in the rooms we suspected could be an issue. So he connected me to another company, MOLD ASSESSMENT SERVICES (check out my review for them too) that helped me out just as good! After results were in that there was in fact mold in these areas, OTM came back and serviced my home - while I was out of town!
