I was going to give her a tip anyway but since she gave me the scowl when she demanded the tip, I gave her 10 bucks and she was pissed. It was not exactly a job well done. The therapist was intense, focused on my upper back, shoulders, and neck as requested, and even did a lovely cupping routine. She would not lighten her pressure when I asked, but her technique was effective and I left feeling better. Just know going in that communication in the rooms is limited. They tend to work the way they want to work. My second visit is why I am leaving a mediocre review. I came in specifically requesting upper back and neck only, as I am dealing with numbness and tingling in my hand and know my neck is out of alignment. I said this at the start and repeated it during the session. Instead, the therapist began with my hips, moved to my legs and feet, and spent more time on my lower body. She did some decent shoulder work, but in a 30 minute massage I would estimate only about 10 minutes were spent on the area I specifically asked for. Twice. Additionally, and I hate to say this, but there was a soft burping during the session with a strong food odor following, that made it difficult to relax. I do not want to write this place off entirely because visit one showed real skill. It seems very clean and the rooms are quite well done. But if you have a specific area of concern or an injury, be aware that your requests may not be honored. For a general relaxation massage you may have a better experience.
