Golden Massage Spa sits by itself in what looks like a house turned business which gave it a cozy and relaxing feel. The ladies were very welcoming and even gave me a tour when I arrived. The place was clean and well kept. I absolutely loved my massage. The pressure was perfect since I prefer a very deep tissue massage. I tried to ask to adjust the pressure but due to a language barrier, she continued with a bit too much pressure. Between the hard massage bed and super heavy pressure, I was a bit uncomfortable at times. Overall, I didn't hate it. I just would have liked a real couples massage, a little less pressure which left me sore for days after, and a softer bed. Overall the price and experience was just ok. Here's a copy of my followup note to Bing I sent later that day. 1. "Writing to express my appreciation. When I left the office this morning, I was still having considerable difficulty ambulating. After about an hour, an hour and a half, I was able to move more fluently around with the cane and not long after in the afternoon I was able to keep my nail appointment and walk (with some difficulty and pain) like I usually do without the cane. I attribute the change to your treatment removing blocks and moving chi in my body, especially in the right leg where I was experiencing significant pain. Thank you for your assistance today." 2. Also, I had a sudden, unusual spike in my blood pressure to 210 requiring emergency hospital admission a few months ago after experiencing head trauma. My PCP prescribed a number of HBP meds that caused severe allergic reactions. I then asked Bing if he could recommend a Chinese herbal medication. These medications can only be obtained by a trained Chinese medications herbalist. It effectively worked to reduce HBP to pre-trauma readings and continued stabilization.

Just be sure to call in advance to schedule, especially if you want a couples massage. They usually book up quickly. I enjoyed my massage and my facial, and I would return in the future. The one thing that would have made this experience better is if the space you go to between services was a little more comfortable. I felt like I sat there awkwardly, when it would have been nice to recline, even just for 5 minutes.

Note: again, this was my experience and my very first time at this salon but NOT my first time getting lashes. Pros: Crystal was professional, courteous. Salon was clean. Cons: Lash extension poorly applied. I got my eyelash extensions on Saturday, and I had to have the lashes removed the very next day by a different eyelash salon. I arrived on time for my appointment. In fact, I arrived fifteen minutes early but waited in my car because the salon asks that you not arrive until five minutes before your appointment. No problem...just pointing out there was no need to rush the process. I requested Classic Full Set and received part Classic, part Hybrid. That wasn't a problem. The issue was that my lashes were clumped/glued together. I couldn't even brush them using a spooly because they were so stuck and stiff. Lashes grow at different rates. If they are glued together, this could damage the cuticle, causing severe lash loss. To those who've never had lashes, looking at my eyelashes, you might have said they seemed fine. When I looked in the mirror after Crystal was done, I too, thought they looked fine, but as I drove home, I noticed my right outer corner had more lashes than my left and my eye started to droop a little. The more I blinked the worse it became. The lashes were so poorly applied, the professional who removed them ask, "When did you get these lashes put on?" I said, "Yesterday." She was shocked and went on to say the lashes seemed dry/old and probably shouldn't have been used in the first place. Two, she said there was far too much glue applied. Three, some of the extensions were glued to my top lid with my natural lash, which only happens when you place the extension too close to the base of the natural lash. There was even glue on my bottom lid...Crazy! It took her three soaks with lash remover and two lash baths of my natural lashes before she could carefully, slowly, pick away the glue and separate all of my natural lashes...took TWO hours to remove. Removing lash extensions typically only takes about 30 minutes. The lady was so patient, and in the end, asked that I wait a while before getting lashes because my natural lashes were in bad shape after the ordeal.
