Absolutely love the concept!!! It's super convenient that you can select additional clothes and they will arrive to your locker. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

This is the first Amazon Style store in the US which opened last weekend at the Americana in Glendale. It has both Men's and Women's clothing. It carries name brand designer clothing like Ramy Brook and generic brands like Amazon Essentials. What's unique about this store is that you use your phone to scan the piece of clothing you are interested in, and the clothing will link to the Amazon app on your phone. Once in the app, all the color options and the size options for that particular piece of clothing will show up on your phone. You make your selections for size and color via your phone and your selections will be brought to a dressing room for you to try on. You will get a separate notice on your phone when your dressing room is ready. This is definitely a new concept for Amazon since Amazon is traditionally against a brick and mortar business model. I guess when it comes to clothing, customers myself included would like to see the actual color and feel the material so this is a test concept store for Amazon. Price and style wise; the store seems to be a blend of Zara and H&M, and mixed in with designer clothing. Go check it out for yourself !

This is definitely a unique concept and a unique shopping experience. My BFF and I were meeting at Americana for a girls day out and when wandering around the shopping center, saw this place and decided to stop in. The associates that work there were super friendly and explained how the store works. We were told this is the first ever Amazon Style store and it just recently opened - so I guess we're the Guinea pigs... haha . So the concept is this: it's a showroom of men's & women's outfits and pieces sorted by evening wear, summer dresses, basics, and accessories. Brands go from high end, to no name China brands, to Amazon Essentials. You need to open up your app and scan the QR code for the items you want to try on, in the color and size you want, and once to you are all done, you click done and an associate will bring all your clothes to a dressing room that you open with your app. If you don't want to try it on and just buy it, you have the option for it to be brought straight to a pick up counter. So high tech!! I picked out a summer dress to try on, and on the way upstairs to the dressing room, I saw glass elevators of merchandise I am assuming was picked out in the stock room upstairs and going down to employees who were putting them in dressing rooms. Talk about Amazon efficiency! The second floor is entirely dressing rooms. When I walked in, not only did I see the dress I picked out, but 3 other dresses curated for me to try on. Yes, they were trying to upsell me, and it worked! I ended up not liking the dress I picked out, but loving one of the other 3 they brought in. The room has a touch screen monitor in it, where it tells you the prices of the other pieces they selected for you, and you also have the option to pick out other things or sizes on the screen. There's a two way closet that they use to deliver other items to you in your room (think of that two way door for urine collection at clinics), and then when you're done, you press the "finish" button on the monitor so they know to clean out the room with the items you don't want. Check out was a breeze. You take your items you want to the counter, scan your Amazon account and they just charge it to your credit card on file. I took off a star because it was a bit confusing trying to figure out when my fitting room was ready. When I clicked on "prepare my room", I received no updates for a long time, and when I asked an employee for help, they had to scan another item to check my account and to find out my room #. In that aspect, it's not quite user friendly yet, so there's room for improvement in that area. Overall a pretty neat idea and likely the wave of the future for shopping!

Have you ever found an item of clothing you wanted to buy on Amazon and wanted to try it on or check its quality? Well the Amazon style store is just the opportunity to do that! It's an in person shopping experience for stuff you may find on Amazon. Being an Amazon store, it's enhanced by tech in a way that makes it delightful and efficient, just like any other store concepts they've come out with. It's definitely gimmicky, but a cool experience nonetheless. There's a huge variety of items at the store, ranging from random cheap Chinese brands to name brands, all of which you can find on Amazon. They also had outfits put together by influencers. There's only one of every display item and you use your phone to scan the QR code to pick a size or color. If you don't wanna scan items yourself, the associates there can also assist you with their tablets. Scanning the code will let you send it directly to a fitting room or to checkout. You'll get a notification when your fitting room is ready. Once in the fitting rooms, items you picked will be inside. You'll also be greeted by a little screen where you can check out other similar recommendations, or ask for additional sizes of items you chose. My screen was unfortunately buggy and kept starting from the beginning making it difficult to use. It seems like I may have just gotten unlucky as other friends didn't have this problem. They send the items to you thru a 2-way closet that gets locked when either side opens it -- I thought this was actually really cool. Checking out was a breeze. Similar to what they do at Whole Foods stores, you can scan a QR code from your phone to use your preferred payment methods on the Amazon app. Pretty convenient! Overall, it's kinda gimmicky. I'd say it's best for times when you want to try stuff out you may have seen online, and a cool techy experience to check out just for fun. Seems like there's still some kinks to iron out, but if you're shopping at Americana or Glendale Galleria and have some time to kill, it's something interesting to check out.

The store is located at the Americana in Glendale. There are various parking structures nearby. My closet is nearly half clothes bought from amazon so when I saw this store I was shocked and had to go in. It's a different shopping concept. So I noticed on the racks there is only one item of each style. I read the label saying scan QR code to try on or buy. Was still confused haha. They have very friendly and helpful staff around. They must understand it's a new concept so the employees know to offer help. I was approached twice for assistance. Finally I asked how it works. So you open the amazon appon your phone and scan the QR code on the item in the store and can either choose to buy off the app or send to try on. The employees get a notice and start a fitting room for you. You don't have to carry around a bunch of clothes to try. This is such a cool concept altho I may just be a lazy shopper but may stick to just sitting at home and scrolling thru my app.

We passed by the Amazon Style store during our after dinner walk at the Americana. My kids wanted to see what they had, thinking that it was just another clothing store with some sort of Amazon twist. Needless to say, we were completely unprepared for what we experienced. The concept is amazing! It's shopping at a large scale in small, neatly organized sections. Using our phone and Amazon account, we scanned items we were interested in. After selecting our options (size, color, etc.) we then decide to either try it on or pick it up. My kids chose to try the dressing rooms. We continued to shop until we got the notification of their dressing room numbers. Each room unlocked using their phones. Inside, a personalized touch screen took them through the process. The clean and large room has a two sided open/closed closet. Their items were nicely laid out in the open closet along with similar items that were selected for them. Other items could be requested using the screen, which are then delivered inside the closed closet. Very innovative! There was a broad range of choices from high to mid brand clothing. Prices were as they are on Amazon. Really nice team members were readily available throughout the store to help with anything. Check out at the counter was easy using our Amazon account. We can see all our purchases and initiate returns from there.

The experience of shopping at Amazon style was super cool. You don't have to carry around clothes you want to try, as you just scan and ask them to bring it to your room. Then once in your fitting room, they even bring you some stuff they think you will like. The fitting rooms are super cool, they have a giant screen where you can thumbs up or down the items, and even browse and have other items sent to you. However, would be nice if you could say why you liked or didn't like an item (ex, maybe the color is great but the fit was too short, or it was perfect but the material wasn't comfortable), just to get more personalized recommendations. The reason it's not 5 stars are 2 simple things, sizes and pricing. I usually wear 3XL and they don't offer anything past 2XL. This was a bummer, but I did try some 2XL items and they fit alright but ultimately was afraid that if they shrink I can't wear them. Then there's lots of items for close to 100 and plenty over. Just seems like a lot for what they are. Even a shirt or a sweater for $30+ is alot too (and this was with the 20% prime discount) Definitely want to give it a try again in the future, especially if they make changes to those 2 points.

This place is INSANE!!!!!!!!!!! So good! Fantastic! An experience you must to try! Customer service is excellent. As my 1st time, I didn't know how it works the process to shop in the store that basically is well known for online purchases. I asked one of the workers there and she gave me an introduction in a very understandable way that made me even more excited to go ahead and try on something. The fitting room is out of this planet. You literally feel better than shopping at Chanel store. Lol Personalized rooms , welcoming with your name, and much more interesting things to experience. I love this place. If you didn't try, please do.

Pretty overwhelming with all of the options. If you're one of those people like me who likes to touch before you buy, this is the place for you. You scan an item, choose a size and they send it to the dressing room to try on. Amazing set up with plenty of choices for men and women.

Amazon is really coming for all aspects of our lives via its brick-and-mortar store expansions, and the latest is clothing, particularly fast fashion. This new Amazon Style is the company's first physical clothing store and takes the prime retail space at the Central Ave entrance of Americana, literally next door to H&M that it's trying to outcompete. The highlight that makes Amazon Style different is supposed to be the high-tech shopping experience -- scanning QR codes to see more details and ratings of items then sending pieces you want to buy to the checkout counter instead of walking around with them -- but it felt otherwise as the touchscreen displays were laggy at times and the mobile app feels clunky. The offerings are basically what you'd already find online on Amazon, but it is promising more higher-end brands in store. So unless I'm really desperate to be able to feel a shirt's material (trying on and returning outfits is already pretty easy online imo) or get a piece the same day in person when in Glendale, I do not see the particular need to make a trip here, not to mention deal with parking.

You need the Amazon app to shop here. You scan clothes you're interested in and then order through the app. I don't know if they will be able sustain their business with this approach. I wish them luck

It's an interesting an pleasant experience but not somewhere to actually come regularly to shop How it works: You scan the item with your phone, see if they have your size and add it to your dressing room. You can also order for delivery to your home. Then you go to the dressing rooms upstairs and wait for your room to be available and then a few more minutes for your clothes to be delivered by machine and hidden humans (magic) Once it's available, you unlock the room with your phone and they have items for you that you chose + items that they choose for you to try on. You can use the screen or your phone to add more items to try on. When you leave, you lock the door with your phone and go to the checkout, where a human helps you. Here prime members can give a number to use cards on your prime account and a discount if you're a member. My experience: I went with my dad, who was having major fomo because my mom had gone and got a pretty dress. He loved it as soon as he walked in and marveled at the Armenian influencer they displayed. But he didn't understand how it works, wouldn't be able to do it alone, and was trying to take the samples to the dressing room. We laughed a lot and he bought two button downs without trying either on, one because it was soft and one because it was "very classy" They gifted us a tote bag for being a prime member. He asked for an extra and I feel he'll cherish it for a while. We left uplifted. Also- We didn't have the issue other people had where the QR code would fall off the hanger or be unscannable due to the screen. They also had a variety of options - athletic, formal, street, loungewear for all ages and sizes etc My analysis: The store is smaller than expected, because so much of it is warehouse for storing the items. It is a cool concept, and not displaying duplicates makes the browsing area look very clean, modern, and large. However, the store needs the same amount of space, so I'm not sure this model saves money. This is more about generating excitement and keeping amazon as an innovative company Many of the items displayed don't have all the sizes available to try on, but they do the item available in other colors. All the colors available arent displayed and not on the tags (or I didn't notice it) I can also imagine it taking very long to get a dressing room during high traffic times. Its not like a typical store where customers take their things to the dressing room and out, there is added waiting time for the clothes to appear and disappear I'm not sure anyone could shoplift from here, since you order the clothing to the dressing room using your name and info. So that adds to my evidence that the staffing in the dressing room was there to hype us up and it worked. Staff was very friendly and chatty. Check out was also human run, though they could easily let you check out on the app would prefer ordering things to the store a few days in advance and then go in to try them on, a convenient alternative to trying things on and then returning them. I love the idea of the scannable qr codes on clothing tags. Many times I've been to places and loved items not my size and used google lens or the brand to order it. Would be nice to have a qr code to scan at other stores as well to make this searching process easier Finally the suggestions they added to our dressing room were pretty different from what we had picked out. We picked 5 short sleeve work shirts and we got 2 long sleeve flannels Conclusion: it's an innovative and novel idea. But because of the extra time waiting and likelihood of glitches, and because a portion of the population will not be able to shop here (older people who think technology is mysterious- the same people who prefer to go in store over shopping online) I think this will either evolve or become a flagship store instead of a business model that's copied over and over. Either way it's worth checking out on its present condition. As I said we left uplifted And had a great time

Great new and different experience to shopping in store. Upon entering you scan your QR code and get asked a few simple questions on sizing! Then you walk through. the store and scan any item you want to try or instantly buy. I love the ease of walking around without lugging all the clothes to the room. In the room your TV screen shows whats is there and you can select additional items to be added to your "magic closet" at any time. My favorite part was based on what you selected Amazon selects and places a few bonus items that they think you will like. The last two times i ended up getting all of them, they were great selections. I would love to see more shoe options I thought that could have been better.

I feel like yelp has created an unhealthy dynamic of people expecting 5 star treatment everywhere they go and for workers to act as slaves. Personally... the grumpier, more eccentric, or offbeat a shopkeeper is the more I love it. It's what us LA natives grew up with and it gives a place character and authenticity. If people have issues with character other than "hello how may I serve your pretentious entitled self today?" They should be shopping in a different neighborhood such as Beverly Hills. Regardless of what anyone says, this shop has the most beautifully curated collection of fine Japanese treasures and I will be a lifelong customer. I just brought two of my friends in today and we were treated so wonderfully and the two gems working were knowledgeable and helpful from the moment we walked in. Not to mention we had a very babbley baby in tow and it didn't seem to bother them at all! My last note: if anyone decides to research Japanese traditions and customs it isn't all that outrageous that phones are asked to be put away during your visit. It really takes away from the experience of it all. My suggestion/tip... go in, phone away, connect with the people, sit in silence, appreciate the craftsmanship of these incredible items... just put your western everyday distractions and habits away for a short time and you will leave this place feeling a sense of calm and happiness. Made it over to them at 10:30 am Friday morning and a gentleman named Eduardo quickly assisted me and helped me find a great suit in the exact color I'd been looking for (deep forrest green) immediately. The price was incredibly fair and Eduardo pointed me to Silver's Tailor Shop across the street to have my new suit quickly fitted to me. By 11:15 am I was headed home, at 11 am the next day I picked up my new suit from Silver's and it fit perfectly. At 4 pm yesterday I arrived at the wedding feeling very good about my purchase, and the new suit got me compliments throughout the entire event. Been spreading the good word about these guys for the last 48 hours and will definitely be back to them for future suit needs; hopefully on a less aggressive timeline.
