I bought a dress on the 11th of JANUARY and here it is February 28th and my sister that I ordered for and had shipped to NOT ONlLY didn't make it there but for whatever reason, got shipped back to the store and I've tried to contact them through email, by phone, which went to a voicemail that hasn't been set up yet, through social media with automated messages that was supposed to get back to me within 48 hours THREE DIFFERENT TIMES and NOT ONCE have I got a response back AT ALL!!! I don't understand how it is so easy to make purchases but so hard to contact when there are issues. I FINALLY put on this dip it low jumpsuit?! Baby- no listen BAY BEEE that jumpsuit fit me all the way. These pieces have been touched by a woman who knows what body parts to accentuate and which ones need a little smoothing over. My breast were hugged correctly, my waist was slimed and my thighs didn't appear bulky. It hugged me the right way! I appreciate their ability to make me feel so comfortable in this jumpsuit. I shopped at this place when it was super tiny and located on Centinela. My friend's wife suggested going here when I was looking for something 'different' in a dress. She knows the owner Gaynelle and mentioned she even alters and/or tweaks items to fit if need be. I was impressed by the unique dresses and skirts with gorgeous prints and textiles. I'd always find something that was "one size", which I don't like. I made a few calls and several appointments with Gaynelle to have dresses and skirts altered. One time, she was a no show. The young lady at the counter called and couldn't get a response either. If I lived around the corner or nearby, it may not have been a problem. I never had those items made. Like another yelper mentioned, I don't play when I shop. I don't go unless I'm ready to spend money. The dresses on average were about $89 and I had 4 and a skirt in my hand during one shopping trip. A few needed to be shortened and one had some loose stitching. Again, I made arrangements meet with Gaynelle. I was asked to come back. Items were held and I made that long drive again! No Gaynelle!! No call! No response! Nothing! Yet, the girls behind the counter were so focused on talking to the younger girls pacing around complaining about the unaffordable prices. I laughed! They bought nothing while my $400+ sale was lost. I considered going back, but can't bring myself to support businesses with poor customer service. Especially when my pockets are right and I'm ready to make a purchase! The name got bigger, shop was moved, and I've seen multiple ladies in the same dresses over the past years. Not to mention I follow on Instagram. I never see responses to ladies' questions. Items posted are rarely available online and too many ladies complain. Pass by this place all the time because the name caught my eye. As soon as I entered, I was greeted immediately. That's the determining factor on if I spend my money. Everything I saw was nice including the sale signs-$10,$20,% off. One lady asked if I were looking for anything in particular and I tld her about the things I saw online. I've always wanted to check out the boutique Philthy Ragz. I finally decided to check it out when I was in need of a nice jumper for a birthday party. I was instantly greeted and provided with a sales associate to show me around. All of the pieces were unique and different. Prices are a little on the "high" side, but I guess that's the price to pay for "different". Clothes are "one size". I was happy to make the cut. I was generous and gave 2 stars because the clothes are cute. She has spent soooooooo much money (undisclosed amount) supporting this BLACK OWNED BUSINESS (B.O.B) because she believes and truly recycles her black dollars and believes in the owner, her dream, her passion for fashion, and her concepts with making EVERY women big or small feel beautiful. Now, don't get me wrong the clothes made and sold are so cute, fun, and flirty, but the CUSTOMER SERVICE (Baaaabbbbyyy) provided over the years, not only by the owner, but her husband and the "employees" are not to be desired!!!!! This is not how you run a business, let alone a successful business (if it is). Who orders online, then picks up their online order in the store, however is refused to have their prepaid shipping refunded, but she didn't let that bother her, she continued to support the B.O.B. If that doesn't catch your attention, I have a part 2 for you. My dear friend ordered an outfit, prepaid, and it took literally 3.5 months for the outfit to arrived. Now mind you, the outfit was NOT a Philthy Ragz orignal, it was actually a downtown special. When the outfit FINALLY arrived, it was not the original order that was placed. There was no discounts offered (was not needed), there was no REAL apology given (was needed), however, my friend being a patient and generous person, she still continued to support the store. I will not go into detail on WHY I believe it took so long, I will hold that closed in the bag. The part 2 incident has happened time and time and time again. For example, she is told her outfit will be ready on a Wednesday, only to arrive and then told the outfit is not ready, come back next Tuesday. I think you get the point and knows what happened when she went back the following Tuesday, that is why it would take so long to FINALLY get an outfit. Question, why doesn't the Left hand communicate with the right hand? Why are only excuses offered when an issue arises, and the excuses are given to the customer? I am surprised she is still in business, and glad she is still in business, however her business needs some reconstructing. So if you had this experience, you know what I am talking about. If you haven't had any of these experiences, please go in with an open mind and experience for yourself. The company needs to improve the shipping and communication. The companies details on the qwbsite is pure TRASH......its sad too as the owner has beautiful product and wears well. She has detaila on her site as 14-21 days during COVID. But the shippibg was trash before that. My reason for visiting was very simple - it was regarding an item of clothing I saw on their Instagram Page that I had to have. I entered the store in an optimistic and upbeat mood, looking forward to the prospect of having a look around the store as I had intentionally traveled the extra distance as I know it is regarded one of the best clothing stores in Inglewood. It is wonderfully decorated, amazing interior design and an unbelievable range of unique pieces. This made me even more excited to shop here.... HOWEVER The music was blaring, two young ladies were behind the counter engulfed in child-like chatter and not a pause to Welcome my Money into this establishment. I continued on and browsed the store for approximately 15 mins and still No ONE asked if I needed any assistance. I think since they've moved location they've made a lot of changes for the better. I always see the same 2 girls when I go because I go around the same time/days. They are both extremely helpful and so sweet. All of the clothes are edgy/fun.They have great accessories but I wish they carried more. I bought 5 pairs of earrings one day. I love the clothing but they tend to cater to one type of style. Additionally, a lot of the dresses are jersey and I don't love jersey. However they always have a lot of cute stuff. I just wish they could be more versatile and cater to more styles. I am also not a fan of the website. I am a huge online shopper and it is never up to date. If your going to have meetings during store hours please have it in a personal office. If you need to vacuum the floor with carpet fragrance please get it up STAT. That ish killed my soul. I follow Philthy Ragz on IG and decided to take a trip to their store since I live in LA. It's easy to get to and there's parking which is a plus. I saw a lot of things that I liked that were modeled on IG and the prices are reasonable too. The owner seemed to be nice and helpful to customers and there was a gentleman there helping customers also who seemed nice. I bought some things and I have friends from out of town that like the clothing too so a repeat trip is definitely in my future. The downfall is the cashiers, who don't have the most pleasant disposition and crammed my gear into a tight gift bag. Have always driven by this place. Today I actually stopped and went in. I'm always looking for unique pieces and I certainly found a few here. The employees were sure nice and attentive. I ended up spending way more than I anticipated but I bought a few different "sets". Therefore, in the long run I'll be able to mix and match different tops and bottoms with other items I already have at home. That alone is well worth the prices. An add bonus is if you buy an article of clothing that is too big or small, they will alter it for you, free. I bought a skirt with a tub top . Skirt was too long and the top a bit loose.
