I live in a town home complex that was having roofing and siding replaced by Jarvis Exteriors. We ended up with a flat tire after running over a few nails...bummer, BUT DONT STOP READING... THIS IS AMAZING STUFF.... I attempted to call the home-owners association 5 times but received no call back and not even an answering machine to leave a message on. I grabbed the phone number off the side of a work van after speaking with a English speaking worker. and getting an estimate from a local tire shop. I called a left a brief message with Jarvis and within 15 minutes the owner Rob, returned my call. He immediately offered to replace my tires even after the tire shop said that all 4 need to be replaced because my truck was all-wheel-drive. Within 24 hours, Jarvis paid my tire bill, and I had new tires. What kind of company does this? I remember getting great service from companies like ATT, but not any more. Most companies could care less. What was so amazing about Jarvis Exteriors, is that they not only fixed my issues, but they could have just said, talk to the home-ownes assoc. and we'll go from there. I didn't even hire these guys, but you can be assured that anyone that I know that needs, roofing, siding, windows or gutter, I will recommend that they don't bother with 3 estimates and just call Jarvis. If they care this much about someone that didn't even hire them, how much more will they care for homeowners that do. These guys have a really set the bar high for all others. I live and work in central Illinois but own a townhouse in Woodstock. My tenants called me complaining the dryer wasn't working. They are a young family with both parents working and they of course were handicapped without that dryer. After the appliance repair man couldn't solve the problem, I recalled our 5 unit townhouses had recently gotten new roofs. I knew Jarvis did the work, so called to ask if there could have been an issue related to the dryer vent at the roof. Mr. Jarvis himself called me back within minutes and said he would investigate the situation himself that next day. He did and discovered the problem was the pipe/hose that connected to the dryer vent had fallen away, blocking the airflow. He then coordinated with my appliance repair man to meet at the townhouse again and together they resolved the issue. Although the problem with the dryer vent wasn't caused by the re-roofing, it may well have been the "straw that broke the camels back". In other words, the connection was already failing and not really the fault of the roofers. Never-the-less, Mr. Jarvis made two trips out, kept in touch with me (even after hours) to explain what was going on, and did not charge me at all for his time. I feel extremely fortunate that Jarvis Exteriors was the company chosen to roof our buildings. My impression from working with Robert was that this is a man who not only goes the extra mile for his customers, but has the integrity anyone needing to hire a contractor would love to find! read more

I'm so shocked they have any bad reviews. I just completed a full remodel on my home and let me just say the amount of bad contractors out there are insane. I had endless issues with other companies. when I selected Jarvis for my door, roof, siding, painting, gutters, and windows, they were not the cheapest but their online reviews and website and sales person really made me positive I made the right choice. thank god I didn't look at yelp otherwise I might not have chosen them. but I am so so so glad I did use them. most importantly- the work is amazing. it's so beautiful. I've had inspectors out afterwards that arent with Jarvis and they told me it is great workmanship. everything was explained perfectly, I was given samples and options. everything was scheduled promptly and I was always kept in the loop. the crew cleaned up after themselves. the sales rep even called after the job was over to make sure I was satisfied before sending an invoice. I spent over 100k with this company and I dont regret a dollar! I highly recommend this company. I had a roof installed in 2013. I chose this company due to Roberts knowledge, candor, and reasonable pricing. I got way more than a roof, I got a trusted supplier who has been the main person I rely on for advisement when anything happens to my house. This company has old fashion standards which include honesty, integrity, and a long-term mentality towards building relationships with their clients. They value you for the first sale, and even though it may be their last sale to you, you are treated as though you are a regular customer. Just two weeks ago, with these heavy rains, I had a leak in my upstairs bathroom which appeared to be coming from the roof that I had just replaced in 2013. Robert came out and inspected the roof and noticed a screen was missing from our roof vent. He ordered the part and replaced it free of charge. He even caulked both of the roof vents again, just in case! You won't be disappointed! read more

We were impressed that Jarvis was a member of the BBB (although everyone else advertised it - I could not find them) and had not had a complaint filed for the reporting period. We worked with Mike B and he was terrific. He also worked with our insurance company to be sure we had the right things covered. We felt their work was top notch, the materials were top notch and we were very pleased with how conscientious the team was for every aspect of the job. We've seen the Jarvis name for years as our neighbors used them in the past and my brother-in-law used them as well. We decided we should get our roof done just this summer (finally). What pushed us to do it were all the stormers in town. We decided to go with Jarvis because they've been around and we recognized them as a small local business. We got our work done without any issues. It took some time to schedule because of how busy it's been with insurance work from the hail storms. Our sales rep was busy but communicated when we would receive the shingles from their supplier and when the work would begin. The only problem I noticed was a tear in our screen on the window. I didn't notice if this happened before or after the job. I called the office and they came by and replaced our screen for free anyway. Our roof looks great. I live in Algonquin and had Jarvis Exteriors out to replace my windows in 2016. Then I had them back to replace my gross old siding with brand new LP smartside siding which I love. They are good at what they do and made suggestions to increase our curb appeal like vinyl cedar around our garage and a new garage door with windows. New roof Jarvis installed 2 years ago leaked during the storm that turned Lake County into a National Disaster Area. Jarvis was at the house within 6 hours from when I spoke to them, and not only fixed this issue before it started raining again (which was a simple lack of caulking on a vent...human error), ensured any impacted areas within the house were taken care of.
