I don't even know where to begin with this company. I've had the truck for less than two months, and it's been one issue after another. Within the first week, I had problems with the water pump and thermostat. Then came issues with the evaporator system, followed by a faulty HID ballast on the headlights. Just last week, the AC radiator went out. To make matters worse, I've been waiting on a spare tire kit since day one--they claimed they ordered it, but I've received no updates or communication at all. Their customer service is nonexistent. I went to car max and other shop who offered me $1200 for my car, which still runs good although it has 196000 miles on it. I told her about the offers I got and she kept insisting to bring the car. I sent her pictures to make sure. She said to bring it since they saw the value of my car on car gurus to be over 2000. Since I was willing to negotiate for 2000, I drove all the way there. The insulting offer I got for my car was $500. I kept the car. I still drive it and even have done 2 200 miles trips with it. I inquired about a vehicle I saw on their site. They contacted me on Friday, 08/14/20, and scheduled my appointment the same day. I left work early on Friday, 08/14/20 apparently just to waste my time. They were not able to work something out in order to get me in the vehicle I was interested in. They contacted me again yesterday, 08/18/20, provided misleading information over the phone, the person on the phone reassured me they will get me in the vehicle I was interested in, I made it clear to her that I was just there on Friday, 08/14/20, and I had no desire in wasting my time again. Again, she reassured me that she was instructed to specifically contact me to ensure they get me in that vehicle. Guess what? I left work early AGAIN to waste my time AGAIN. I requested to speak to the Manager at this point (Mr. Lopez) in which his only solution was to apologize and stated "you can give us a bad review, but I apologize for this". As a Manager that's your only solution? I'm a healthcare worker and playing with people's time during this pandemic is unacceptable. Unbelievable that these people are in business. They said what do you need. I said CarMax offered me $45,000 and wholesale was $46,500 and I want $46,000. They said they would beat CarMax over the phone. I was hesitant but decided to go by. We went in and sure enough it was a waste. I got offered like $42,000 I think even below the kbb. When we reminded them about the CarMax offer they said they would match it. I first sold an 8 yr old Camry to Ambar and received $2000 more than Carmax's offer, and more than any other online offer I received. Based on that, I went to sell them a 5 yr old Camry and ended up receiving what I felt was a good value. But even more importantly, I ended up trading it in for a used Audi with very low mileage, no Carfax accident reports, and a fair value. The process was very painless. If I could give zero stars, I would. I went to go see a car they had listed during the whole covid-19 pandemic. I had my gloves on and my mask because unfortunately I live with old people who are prone to viruses. So I ask him, how much is the car if I were to finance as I have a large sum of down payment. The price of the car goes from 14k to 19k. To my surprise, the price was inflated to 5 grand more than what it should be due to more than 3 grand of bogus fees like delivery and electronic fees and it was still the original price, there was no discount like Ashley promised, she was there but kept quiet. I bought a 2015 Honda Civic 87k miles been in two accidents drove good so I liked it, went to give them my 2500 down payment and it wasn't enough after asking the lady "Beatriz" if 2500 was enough they credited me 800 cause they wanted 3300 down and 387 a month but turns out they sent me with a car that the ac broke a week later (no warranty) on any of their cars , glue still on the windows from the tints they took off, some now it's making a noise. Instead of switching my registration and insurance from my old car they made me open a new policy just so they can get money, I zelled the money to the guy and he sent it to the Insurance company and they needed 400 to open a new policy now they never canceled my old one and they just took out 200$ for that plus another 205 for my new insurance so now they took 400 litterally two days back to back, I tried to call today to see what's going on with my registration cause they gave me a temp tag that expires tomorrow when I have a tag I registered for two years at the dmv that's in my car but I was told I can't put it on my car till the 20th of this month. Now I called 5 times no answer called they guy that sold me the car and he said come down today and he will print me a new temp tag like I want my tag that's registered from the dmv on it not a paper tag. I sold my car Ambar Motors and due to an error the payoff quote was paid from my account vs the dealership paying for it. Once I was debited from the lender I contacted the dealership and spoke with Erwin and he assured me that they had not sent the check because they had 10 days from the purchase of my vehicle to send it off to the lender. He said to wait a week until the title was released by the lender and that I would be able to go pick up the money I was owed. A week later I called him back, he did not answer and had Elizabeth from the accounting department contact me to tell me that I would not be able to get my money because they sent the payoff quote to the lender. I would have to wait 3 weeks for the check to be returned and then they can give me the money then. Elizabeth then called the lender and then called back to me told me that the lender would send me my money back. I called them to confirm this Information and they told me that the check would be sent back to Ambar Motors not me, because my check cleared first. Ambar Motors now has the car up for sale on their website and I don't have my money nor have I been contacted to follow up on the status of a check that they should have already to be given to me. It is not my fault that they sent the check after I was told that they had not sent nor would they send because the payment was made on my end and all we had to do was wait a week for the title to be available. For any potential customers of Ambar Motors in Doral, Florida. I first discovered the vehicle I was interested in online through cars.com. I was contacted by the online sales department (Beatriz Jimenez) and we went over details of the vehicle, condition, mileage, and Carfax concerns. I was assured on how nice this car was and that there were no known issues to the dealership. This was a pleasant experience, after speaking with Beatriz some more I was then contacted by the finance manger (Phillip Lopez) to discuss pricing and overall condition of the vehicle. Negating was done via text with Mr. Lopez, the dealership was firm on its listed price, which wasn't unfair for the vehicle in the described condition. Unfortunately, the dealership has, as mentioned before in reviews, some rather large fees associated with buying from them. A $999 dealer fee, $499 electronic filing fee, and a $377 tag fee. For a total of $1500 in fees added to the before tax price of the vehicle, a car listed at $30,999 just became a $34,873 car. Dealer fees are common practice but not in amount like this. Since I was 500+ miles away from the dealership I needed to set the price in stone before ever seeing the car in person. I was confident that the car described would be as it was advertised for something in this price range. I came to an agreement in the price and flew down to see the car the next day, arrived at the dealership with a known timeframe for them to work over the car I believe. Car was not in the same storage position it was pictured in over the course of dealing with Ambar. Car was very dirty, engine bay was extremely dirty, small little defects were found throughout the vehicle, i.e., Missing fasteners, lids, and dents and scratches. Tires did not look great but tread depth in center was acceptable for the purpose of driving it home. So, the deal was pretty much already set up, couldn't negotiate the price anymore due to agreements made via text. I discovered the broken passenger seat, which they seem to not know of. Phil agreed the dealership would pay to have the seat fixed after the sale. That seemed fair to me and we proceeded with the purchase. In the week that follows the sale large issues became more apparent, a quoted $4000. Fuel leak was discovered, and tires showing the steel belting on the insides on the front of vehicle. Pictures attached. The dealership paid for the seat repair as promised but completely ignored all other found issues. Leaving me to pay over $6500 on my "nice, fairly priced" car. Very fortunate no one was hurt from these discovered issues; dealership was aware of the tires easily due to them claiming they put new brakes on the vehicle. They considered changing the brake pads out, new brakes. Rotors were not resurfaced or replaced at all. All in all, I would caution anyone from visiting this dealership due to the undisclosed issues that could potentially cause massive damages to others health and your own. read more
