We paid an additional $500 for April Pinto Photography to film our entire wedding ceremony, from start to finish. Instead of filming the entire ceremony from a tripod -- as we discussed -- the videographer ran around the ceremony, stopping and starting the footage. Moments April Pinto Photography did not film include: (1) the groom's entrance, (2) the bride's entrance, and (3) the bride's father giving her away. We are missing 4 minutes of a 20 minute ceremony. April Pinto Photography refused to issue any sort of refund (despite not providing us with a "full unedited ceremony video", as dictated by our contact) or even apologize for messing up on the most important days of our lives. (2) Unprofessional Behavior. During the wedding: We received numerous complaints from guests about April's behavior and professionalism. She would yell -- rather than ask politely -- for guests to get in poses or take off glasses. In addition, she offended multiple guests by assuming relationship statuses (e.g., assume mother and son were married or wife and husband were father and daughter ), making guests feel insecure about their appearances and age. Before the wedding: We booked April without interviewing her. After we paid the deposit and had a video call, we felt she was very rude and condescending during our interactions. For example, my husband did not have a lot of opinions on photos, so he would defer to my opinion. April made multiple quips that "he must not care" about getting married and complained that he was "too camera shy" when he did not want one part of his getting ready moments photographed. We found April's behavior so unprofessional that we we began interviewing other photographers and were prepared to lose our $900 deposit. Unfortunately, we could not find someone in time so we attempted to mitigate contact by directing April to only communicate with us through our wedding planner. However, April refused to respect this boundary and would blow up our phones whenever our wedding planner messaged her -- despite both us and our wedding planner having multiple conversations that all communication needed to be through our wedding planner and that she was not to contact us directly. If there is one upside, it's that we do like how our wedding photos turned out. However, working with April Pinto Photography was an overwhelmingly negative experience, and we cannot recommend this business in good faith to anyone -- especially on one of the most important days of a person's life.

The pictures of my husband and I look awkward, if a pose didn't look natural she didn't try something else. There's about two of my husband and I that are really well done with appropriate lighting. Even several in wedding party were mentioning how odd that was. She stated that we would have engagement pictures to be handed out to guests at our reception and those didn't get printed. I had also asked her ahead of time to please make sure bridal portraits were taken at the wedding and those weren't done. The biggest issue, was the time it took to get our pictures and responses from the photographer. Per contract, it said we would have proofs 1 month later and they came 2 months later. After the proofs, we received our DVD with our photos to make prints 7 MONTHS after our wedding! During that time, I had sent several emails with responses coming 2-3 weeks after I would send them. She had stated repeatedly that she was going to send them the next day. Each email that she would respond with, always had an excuse attached to it. I understand one or two times but I have multiple emails all stating excuses we never had our product we paid for. During this time, we had also noticed that several other weddings were being posted on her FB page and never seeing After asking her multiple times, she finally posted ONE picture. After we got the DVD, we asked for a meeting. She promised a free canvas photo. She also offered the bridal portraits that she had not done before. We should not have given another chance! 4 months later we still did not have our canvas. Bridals were 3 months later anthey turned out good. At that time, we reminded about the canvas and and then finally received it. Because of the mistake, she promised another canvas. It'a 1 1/2 years after our wedding date and about 6 months after the offer of the second canvas, and still no canvas! I am so disappointed in the professionalism and the amount of time everything took. I am really hoping this review helped those from the same mistake!

For those who are looking for a wedding photographer, here's why you need Laura: 1) Flawless Execution One of the MOST IMPORTANT lessons I learned from wedding planning is that the on-the-day execution trumps any portfolio. Wedding photography is a completely different ball game from studio photography and unfortunately, many of the current "wedding photographers" fall in the second category. It's easy to set up the perfect lighting, line up the perfect angle, and set up the perfect pose for a "perfect shot" (and even apply the perfect filter afterwards). That's studio photography and anyone can do that given a good camera. Wedding photography, on the other hand, is about capturing the moments. It's about having the instinct and the experience to capture those split seconds, those candid moments, and knowing how to respond to those unexpected events (which happens at every wedding). Laura's execution is flawless, which comes from her extensive resume and attention to details. Her efficiency is off the chart. That's how she can crank out 3,000 pics (while others can only do 800) w/o compromising quality. 2) Excellent Support Team All of the packages comes with 2 photographers + 1 "assistant", with Laura being the lead photographer most of the time. However, the rest of the team is superb as well (unlike other studios that just grab some complete newbie). Everyone on the team has their own photography studio, including the "assistant". Our second photographer actually charges more than Laura does at her own studio! How Laura can get her as a second photographer is beyond my understanding. So essentially, you're getting 3 professional photographers. What a deal! Each photographer has his/her distinct on-the-day roles. Laura is in charge of constantly following the couple, period. The second photographer is in charge of the guests, all the candid moments, and setup for some artistic studio shots. Everyone is professionally dressed and communicated well. With 3 photographers, you can easily get 100% coverage of the entire wedding. As a cherry on top, Laura personally processes some pics immediately after the wedding (usually past midnight) and will have a sneak peak of about 70 pics ready before the morning. 3) Contagious Personality Laura loves weddings. She genuinely loves weddings and helping brides, and her excitement is contagious. She's much more than just a photographer that you hire for one day. My wife and I have gained a friend though the process. I would recommend Fairytale and Laura to everyone looking for a true wedding photographer. I've gone to many weddings over the past few years and I can confidently say that no one came anywhere close to the level of execution that Laura had. You know... those "in your face" photographers who get good shots but ruins the moment; those scrappily dressed photographers who looks like they hate their jobs; those studio photographers that takes 5 mins to set up each shot; yeah... you don't want them at your wedding day.
