The past property manager Laura, finally left. She did not understand the meaning of customer service. Had to endure her since Amber Management, started manageing our property. The new property manager is cordial but does not respond to your complaints consistently. The reason is because there are so many complaints. Lived in building for 37 years and Amber and this new management company they merged with is incompetent as well. No one wants to do their job. I have complained about drugs being sold in building many times. The tenant is still there. She and others in her apartment make a mess in the hall outside her door, which is also is outside my door. Food crumbs constantly on carpet. Tenants should be investigated before they are able to lease. The laundry room is disgusting. The machines are constantly out of order and not clean or sanitize. This company we lease these machines from, should be terminated. Never had the uncleanness in the laundry room or issues with the machines until this company took over. The worst! read more

I work at a building that Amber management is supposed to manage. Not one resident, nor one employee can ever get a hold of anyone from amber when they need to. Emails, texts, phone messages.... no response. They're frauds taking your hard money in exchange for bare minimum services. read more

I lived in Stamford Common before, which is one property that was managed by Amber Property Management. This is my review for that place Please stay away from this place!!!!! Don't make the low price fool you. This place has a serious mouse problem. I lived here for about one year, and I captured around 15 mice. There is a hole in the bathroom ceiling, and it leaks boiling water. This place is basically falling apart, but they don't want to fix it. The Amber Management Team is the worst company I have ever seen in my life. No matter how many times you try to contact them, they will ignore you. Also, they will lie to you. When I reported the mouse problem, they told me that I was the only apartment that had a mouse problem. However, recently they started a program to exterminate all mice in each apartment. Why did they suddenly start this program if only one apartment had a mouse problem? They sent the pest control company two times after I kept complaining. They promised they would return after two weeks to see if the situation is better, but they never returned. The electricity price is also a myth. I cannot control my own heating. There was one time I travel for 15 days. For that month I need to pay 300 bucks. I contacted the management team. However, again, they ignored. Please stop moving into this place. So many issues happened that just hard to describe them all here. The laundry room constantly floods. The management is very condescending. Amber Property Management is supposed to manage The Mariner in Port Chester, NY but I can say they are far from actually properly managing the building. The superintendent has to get approval to buy one light bulb at a time from Home Depot, and get a third party handyman to come fix washers, Dryers, other appliances and pretend he fixed them when really they are worn out and need replacing. These are luxury apartments, starting at least $2600 for a 1 bedroom and all the way to the high $3000 for 1.5 or 2 bedrooms. Every single concierge who works at the front desk has trouble getting in touch with Amber for issues and the tenants who have been living here since Bozzuto was management company are all moving out, myself included. Wouldn't recommend doing business with Amber Property -- it's staff are unprofessional, don't care for actual issues that the building faces (hello serious roach infestation), Carolina Vargas and Laura Martinez are condescending and love to gaslight. This company is huge on ignoring tenants. Told Carolina there were roaches in the lobby and she kept talking over me saying she doesn't care what I say (lol guess they like ignoring in person too). If you see Amber Property management on your lease, run as far as you can...you can do so much better. For the amount they charge, their service is like 2/10... find a better place that will actually listen to your issues. read more

Since Amber Property Management has taken over 411 Bronx River Road the building has become a absolutely horrible place to live. When you step into the vestibule of the building you are met with the awful stench of the sewer water that runs beneath it as well as the waterbugs that make their way up from the sewer. You are then greeted by the sewer flies on the walls in the lobby along with the roaches often crawling over the elevator buttons, lobby floor as well as in the elevators. The building is infested with roaches, mice and waterbugs. Amber Property Management are slumlords so they don't give heat in the winter, and don't provide hot water in the summer. They also significantly lower the water pressure so showers take longer. One elevator has been out for over one week for a building of nine floors and about ten apartments on each floor. I have seen mice in the hallways and the laundry room is also infested with roaches. They are unresponsive to requests and complaints. The boiler room is kept locked so that the super is unable to provide heat when management doesn't and people are freezing in their apartment in the winter. There is a dumpster filled with garbage in the garage where cars are parked. In the winter they will not clear the snow unless tenants call to report the lack of snow removal after 24 hours and they are fined. They refuse to pay vendors to cut the grass in the back of the building or in the front so you are often walking through what feels like a jungle access the building through the garage. The grass grows about four feet high in the front of the building. One tenant moved in on a Friday and moved out on the same weekend because of how infested the apartment was. This is a disgusting place to have to reside and the slumlord management only cares about making money as they proceed with chopping up apartments and charging exorbitant rent for these roach motels. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is a dump and the structural issue brought to their attention go unaddressed. I'm not saying it's a 1 time event, rather been this way since I moved in over a year and the problems still exist. Oh they state that it's been repaired but how is the same "leak" in the exact same spots (plural) still happening? Hmmmm makes you question the legitimacy of their claims if repairs. AWFUL PLACE TO LIVE!!!!! THESE PEOPLE ARE THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL, IRRESPONSIBLE, DISMISSIVE, DISRESPECTFUL, RUDE PEOPLE I'VE EVER HAD TO DO BUSINESS WITH!. I am a single mother of two, one with special needs. I moved into one of their properties on Strawberry hill Ave, Stamford last year in August. The agreement was one month deposit first and last month rent which of course I did. This amount came to $9200. From the start there was a lot of issues with this place. The a/c was not working for the first month and my apartment on the third floor was incredibly hot (it was August 2018 heat wave). After a lot of emails and complaints they gave a $200 credit and "fixed" it. The following month there was no hot water, again I sent emails and there was no answer. Same thing happened on the following summer with the a/c but this time there was no credit and no answer to any emails I sent. To say I couldn't wait to move out of this place would be a massive understatement. Finally the day came when I could finally move out. I scheduled the walk though with the manager Carolina Vargas and after waiting 20 mins after our arranged time I gave her a call to which she responded with "I'm a few minutes away". She never showed!. The Super came instead and did the walk though with me but at the time I had no idea that Carolina was not coming. Everything was checked off as being in perfect working order but I didn't sign it because it was a week away from my official move out date and I wanted a credit for the week. At this point I didn't have more than a few items in the apartment. I sent an email to Caroline letting her know I would be more than happy to move a week early so they could get the new tenants in, to which of course, I got no answer...again!. TWO DAYS LATER I came in to finish cleaning and walked into full construction in the sec floor. They not only went into what was Still my apartment but also started ripping the carpet and remodeling without my consent!!!. Again I sent an email with pics this time and of course got no answer. 5 MONTHS LATER I still had not received or even heard about my $3000 deposit. I sent multiple letters and and emails and still nothing. Finally 5 months later I received a check for $1600 with no explanation of what happened to the rest of my money since during the walk though everything was fine. Almost as if i didn't even deserve to know what exactly they used my money for?! I've never dealt with more unprofessional people. I work very hard for my money, not to mention I am a single parent and every penny matters. It's also the disrespect to act as if they had a right to my money and not even give me a statement letting me know what it was used for? No matter what it was used for, the least they are supposed to do is to let me know in an itemized statement. Was it because they saw a easy mark? (single female with two kids and two jobs), was it my race? (Hispanic) or that I'm a young woman?. I just know that ANYONE no matter who they are or where they are from deserves to be treated with respect and professionalism. read more
